  • Electric fence was installed to keep raccoons out of our vineyard. It worked but discovered we have a fox problem. We tried a motion activated recording of coyotes that did not work. We tried a blinking red light that is supposed to imitate a predator that did not work. We added bird netting and that kept the foxes out and they gave up and have not returned YET.

Why not just add more wires to the electric fence higher up? Make the fence have alternating hot and ground wires. 3 sets, from the top down should keep the foxes out. That one set is to easy for the foxes to jump. A 5 foot electric fence should keep everything out. Wire all the hot wires and grounds to the same energizer.

Cute ! I use netting to keep snakes, birds and foxes out but the electric fence stops coyotes.

Nite Guard Solar NG-001 Predator Control Light, Single Pack. they are suppose to scare off animals that think they are the eyes of predators As you see, they did not work. That was two lights back to back so it should have worked in both directions. available on amazon along with lots of similar products

Oh...I've seen another brand that did the same thing I guess, just not quite as nice. Looks like something we may need to invest in. Thank you for the reply!!

I got a motion activated sprinkler for the fox that kept eating my chickens. It's got a pretty good range and is quite sensitive. Works to keep the rabbits and deer out of the garden too. I also got an electric fence from RentaCoop that is pretty damn good. Plus the chickens get locked down like Fort Knox every night. I have a camera that I can view live and set an alarm off remotely and even talk and yell through. I've left a small radio playing through the night with just talk radio on. Also have multiple motion lights. I'm gunna pick that little bugger off here though one day.

At 1:17 the fox seems to be right up on the net. Is it not, or did you turn up the shock?

Just play that annoying banjo music in your backyard. That’ll keep anything away.

pretty nice what this person does considering some people set up poison traps or shoot them instead. this person has a vineyard, it's his, not the fox's. the fox can find other things to eat

Didn’t see the electric fence do it’s job. It didn’t shock them?
