Gyeon Cancoat is as easy to apply as a spray sealant and wins hands down on all the products you tested. A light ceramic shootout would make a good video.

You really put some effort in to this. Twenty five hits of apc !

Nice roundup. Since beading isn't a super useful attribute unless you're blow drying, I'd give the nod to the Flex Wax. Who knew you could dry the car with the hose.

As a real world pro full-time and very busy MOBILE detailer speed/ease of application is more important to me than the cost. I would STRONGLY recommend Gteqnic CS3. A few sprits on a microfiber and do a whole panel. It applies so easily and flashes quickly (you can get away without even buffing sometimes!). It leaves a high gloss and amazing beading. The 6 months durability claims are a bit wild but I just use it as a finishing (takes about 3 minutes to do a large car) QD with longer durability than a basic QD. PLUS.... you can use it on glass, plastics etc. Gets my vote

Best quality is most important. Anything less is less for your customers. And that's losing business. Very simple. Give me the best and it will look that way. What people are paying for. Or give them the cheaper option as well.

Great test I have done some test myself on couple of these myself. I have gtechnic coatings on my car I done myself. For me like u picked up and others said gtechnic is best great slickness but also so easy to use no smearing and good in hot conditions like we got at moment it funny because I did one of are cars yesterday after washing I do use autoglym to as it so easy to get and is on offer at places so is quite bit cheaper and I do use this on a wet car as a drying aid at times to. But I totally agree I tried again autoglym yesterday and had to stop our can’t cope with hot conditions and will smear were the gtechnic no issue it does say on the autoglym bottle don’t use above 25 degrees u can use a wet damp cloth to get round this in summer so your test what I tried I totally agree with u gtechnic no 1. Be great to see a ceramic liquid paste wax test soon I been doing some tests with them to

Surprised Beadmaker didn’t finish last. It’s absolutely not worth even the slightest effort. I find most P&S products to be watered-down and ineffective. I’ve not tried any of the Stjarnagloss products but now I’m curious.

I have worked as a valeter at main dealerships, so experienced everything from service washes, to deep cleans on trade ins ready to be resold on the pitch, up to brand new showroom cars which obviously have to be perfect.
I also detail my own car regularly.
I'm not sure the criticism beadmaker gets is justified. I have tried over a dozen detail sprays, and settled on a mixture of beadmaker and dreamaker as my detailing topper, which I use every wash.
They are so cheap, I can afford to use it after every wash (usually weekly). Beadmaker gives such a slick feeling to the finish, and great hydrophobicity, and with a splash of dreamaker added in, the gloss is improved over beadmaker alone. It is so easy to apply, spreads thinly and easily, requires almost no buffing, never smears, and I genuinely can not fault it.
    It smells beautiful too !
Yes it doesn't last long, but if I want a longer lasting protection (over winter for example), I'll use Soft99 Fusso Coat.
In the summer, when I am washing my car weekly, beadmaker.dreamaker combo is quick, easy, and looks great until the next wash. Buying it in 5 litre containers, works out cheaper than anything else.
I do think beadmaker needs to be 'built up' over a few applications. I thought it was good on first application but it didn't blow me away. After using it directly after drying my car, on every weekly wash, for a few weeks, it is much slicker, and beads much better. It is obviously not a thick durable product, and judging it after one application doesn't really show what it is capable of.
BH products are fantastic value and performance too, and I swear by auto wheel, auto foam, and surfex hd.

I find none of these water based spray sealants live up to their hypes of durability. Ive tried lots and you would be lucky to get more than 2 months on a daily driver in the real world. I have a customer that has a few hire vans and i wash them once a week so they are ideal for testing different products. The lower edges of the vans usually fail within a couple of weeks where they have been battered with spray from the road. Next to go is usually the leading edge of the bonnet and the rear doors within 3/4 weeks. The higher side panels are more resistant to failure and can last anywhere between 4-8 weeks depending on the product. My favourite spray on sealants have been DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss and 3D GLW Ceramic Detailer. They both put up the best durability on the hire vans and both smell amazing, especially the 3D, which is very important to me as im the one using them day in day out and a nice fragranced product can enhance your mood and makes the process pleasant.
