Good point, no CR on the bus. You could ask the driver or conductor but usually no CR stops. If someone is really busting the driver will understand and pull over.
Next time take the Father Son line boat out of Sabang beach and then get on the City State Hotel Bus. It is fast maybe only two hours to get to down town Manila. You end up in Ermita which has a fun night life. Check out LA Cafe.
Worked well, and the air-con bus was comfortable. Not worth paying thousands of pesos for a private car. I've been on old busses with sheet metal seats, or packed so full people were standing for hours. You end up a hard ass... literally ;)

I liked Sabang for a short trip and glad I got to see it. Probably wouldn't go back. I invited her but no. Guess she wasn't interested. There were also some problems with our travel plans. So we had to make changes and recharge in Manila.

Yes exactly, why I talked about long travel time in a previous video. It's normal in PH. White beach has always been popular as it is more affordable to jump on the bus and ferry than fly to Boracay. Also not as crowded ;)
Been married to my Caucasian husband for 34 years now ..different cultures yes but LOVE covers all at least the true specially if there is kids involved. My 2 Children are college age just like you Brendan.
Yep 4 hours from Batangas Port or Pier all the way to Makati Manila. Not so much traffic but the bus stops to drop off passengers along the way. So just a slower journey.
Our boat, "Father and Son's Company" took exactly 2 hours from Puerto Galera to Batangas Port and Our bus from Batangas Port (Star Bus company) took us exactly 2 hours to get us to Makati Manila.. but then it was really hard to find a honest taxi driver to take us to our condo... our condo was within Makati, but the taxi drivers were asking 300 to 250 Pesos... which were didn't pay, instead we took a jeepnay and just paid 7 Peso hahaha.... ayus....

Oh no, as people got off more seats became available. We could even stretch out on 2 seats by the end. I was worried about that overloaded busses are common. I had to stand for hours in Cebu province.
Contrast with where I am. A few years ago traveling on the Greyhound bus to Virginia on Christmas eve a guy got on the bus with his ticket but there was no seat for him. The driver told him he can't sit on the floor he has to get off. He refused. The driver called the police. Two came on the bus and gave him a choice to get off or sleep in the jail on Christmas eve. So we can say the Philippines has lots of freedom.
Yes it is common and specifically go to tourist areas. Eg they will wait outside McDonalds and hassle you. Or even try pick pocket you outside. They come up to taxi's, even come inside a restaurant while you are eating.

She got freshened up and looked good. But was still very guarded though was good conversation on the trip. Sadly had to part ways.

My family is from Batangas but I actually have never taken the bus to Batangas, actually I've never taken anything but a car
I've taken both and Batangas is nice. Car is more convenient but you have to know them. Bus worked out fine =)
