    I just left my VCORE Pro HD for the Vcore 95 2021, although these Dunlops just went on sale in US and I loved my demo a while back, so Im practicing restraint. I found the VC95 came alive with heavier grip and 5 grams in the hoop. Missed your reviews as many other reviewers seem less detail oriented. Have to echo the below comment on the new TF40's could be great, hope you do a review. cheers.

    I switched to the Cx400 Tour recently (from the Vcore 98), and I think it's great. I suspect it's probably a better fit than the CX200 for most 4.5-ish level players. It really has a great mix of control, feel and power.

      Hi there, interesting to hear of your racket change. I'm currently using a vcore 98 aswell and I don't gel with. What made you make the change and how are you finding the cx 400 tour in comparison?

    Nice to see you back, Andy, and doing your usual excellent detailed reviews. I find the CX200 series has a fairly tight string pattern with a controlled launch angle. As such, the 18x20 is a touch too low launch for my game. The 16x19 is spot-on launch angle wise.
    Unfortunately, the off centre hits are relatively jarring despite the Infinergy foam filling. As such, the Vcore 95 and Prestige Pro are the better 95sq inch racquets for my game.

      Thanks Jerome. I found the same with the 18x20. Love the vcore 95 too, couldn’t quite be confident enough with it for match play.
      I have found then cx200 16x19 to be so much more stable with some lead at 3 and 9. Good at 10 and 2 too. Maybe worth a try to see if that helps with off centre hits?

    Hey Andy nice to see you back, missed your reviews. TF40 16x19 coming soon to give this one a run for its money.
    On another note, I pulled the trigger on the Phantom 100X 305g 16x18 and oh man what a fantastic feel. Also cuts thru the air super well for the one hander. I do notice it’s a little less stable than I expected a 100sq in frame to be. Did you notice that as well? Don’t think it needs more power though, was surprised

    • @LarzB
      @LarzB 2 года назад

      What do you exactly mean with stability? As that word is used completely different by a lost of people. I have the 100x and it is a great racket. I do customize my rackets with lead in different places so i might have negated what you define as stability issue.

      Hey Bruno,
      Absolutely that tf40 16x19 has my interest! From the previous tf40 line, the 305 got all the hype but the 315 was better. Only hit it recently and what a shame I didn’t find that before!
      Also the head boom and upcoming pure strike vs I am interested in.
      Got a little bit of time back so hope to make some more soon, have a few good frames to review. Yes would agree with that Prince. Needs more weight for stability and plough through. Thanks for the comment, hope you are good.

      @@LarzB when I hit my one hander, if I don’t massively speed up the racket head, it twists a little bit and the ball either lands short or flies towards the screen

      @@brunis_m ok, i have measured mine and after that customized it to 330 swing weight, 31.2 cm balance and 350 grams static weight. Rock solid racket. But that is my general especially anyway

      @@LarzB mine is 318 strung. Might tinker with it. Read a bunch in the forums and people are generally saying this racket doesn’t need weight at 3/9 and that 12 is the way to go. Hmm..

    I've used them both and they are nice platform frames, nothing special, a bit unstable at times and really low powered. In stock form that is. But once you add 4-6 grams in total at 3&9 they become the most sublime I've ever used in terms of control and feel combined with sufficient power. It's like a totally different racquet with a bit higher swing and twist weight. And gives you well enough spin and pop, given you have proper technique and swings.

      Totally agree. The 16x19 with those changes and the right strings is great 👍

  • @jonathanp639
    @jonathanp639 2 года назад

    They are extremely comfortable but they are too demanding for 3.5-4.0 players. I remember that strings such as tecnifibre Triax suit this rackets the best. Polys maybe around 45lb are more doable but going over the 50lb marks is asking for a really good workout.

    Great review. How does this 16x19 compares to the Prestige MP (red one), and the Extremt tour? Own the Prestige but find it a bit difficult to play with (maybe my setup of strings is wrong for me...:-).

  • @mteca5093

    Which would you make your match day racquet,,,cx or vcore95 or prestige 95 inch???

  • @LarzB
    @LarzB 2 года назад

    I have the former version cx200 tour 18x20. So upgrading to the newer version would merely be a cosmetic one?
    I just measured the widest area of this racket and compared it with the prestige mp 360+ 98 18x20 and to my shocking surprise the Dunlop is about 3mm to 4mm wider. That's why i feels it has a wider sweet spot than the prestige mp! The prestige mp is more oval (longer) and as such gives a little bit more power than the cx200 tour. The Dunlop string pattern is denser though and i really feel the increased control vs the prestige.
    But i really have to keep my footwork going to get any pace on my balls. Next week i get my phantom 93p 18x20.

    • @tenniseuphoria5012
      @tenniseuphoria5012  2 года назад

      Fascinating about that widest area measurement thank you. Yes I think you would not really notice much difference at all.
      Good luck with the 93p. I have reviewed that too, loved it, but preferred the open pattern which surprised me.

    • @LarzB
      @LarzB 2 года назад

      @@tenniseuphoria5012 i had the 93p 14x18 before. That one was too open for me, but that version was very nice as well, just that i prefer the lower launch angle of rackets with denser mains.
      I think (and i think you said it in your review or the review of mike komen) that a 16x19 would have been better in the 93p. I purchased the 93p 18x20 as a training racket that forces me to up my game, and in matches play with a more forgiving racket.
      I had the Toalson sweet area racket with a 60 inch² head size, that was just way too extreme as a training racket. You can only use that for a short time to train just hitting the tiny sweet spot.

    Hola,para mí son diferentes porque?? La negra es más rígida que la roja,material es de fibro carbono la negra,,,cosa que la roja es grafito es más flex y al tacto parece iguales pero despide más la roja que la negra y la verdad es más suave el golpe,,,hoy estoy usando la dunlop srixon cx revo 2.0 tour es excelente raqueta en control como golpe,es una mezcla de ambas,pero es exquisita revo 2.0
