Good luck! We did one round of IVF and retrieved 25 eggs. 17 were mature, 7 fertilized, and we ended up with one embryo. She is 10 weeks old today! I'm sure you know, but it only takes one. ❤️
After 2 rounds of cancelations due to medication response issues our doctor recommended a light IVF cycle with lower doses of meds. 2 eggs retrieved. 1 of them was mature. That 1 mature egg fertilized and made it to day 5 transfer. My wife is now 11 weeks pregnant!!
Congrats Justin!! You are about to have the most fun you've ever had, I have a 10 month old baby girl who is the coolest person I've ever met, next to her dad. Best time of our lives, hands down 💕
I had an IVF retrieval in June. Got 20 eggs, 12 fertilised and 5 made it to day 5. We did PGD and 4 of them were “normal”. 1 didn’t survive the PGD process. Had my transfer on Saturday and waiting to find out if I’m pregnant next week. Very exciting! All the best!

I love your channel's video backlog and hope you two find rest in your indefinite hiatus from content creation.
I had DOR but excellent response to IVF- 150 menopur and 450 gonal-f for the entire duration of stims. Had 15 retrieved, all mature, 14 fertilized, 12 blastocysts, 5 euploid. Zero problems. 22 weeks pregnant with first FET. Literally naming my child after my RE!
I found you when I started taking my meds. They are so expensive and wanted to see an actual person take them so I can do it correctly. Well 14 days later I was ready for retrieval. Doctor says my body took the meds very well. So now I had 13 eggs, 9 matured, 4 fertilized into an embryo. Now I am waiting to see if any survives blastocyst. I am so super nervous and praying God that at least 1 survives. Wish me luck, will keep you updated. Thank you guys for doing this for all of us
You guys are seriously rock stars! Thank you for sharing your journey once again. I just completed an IVF cycle and retrieved 21 eggs, 14 mature, 12 fertilized. Now onto the waiting game to see how many of them become blastocyst. Looking forward to continuing on this journey with you!
Hey Jasmine, was just wondering about an update. Are you pregnant? Did any of the 12 become embryos and lasted for the transfer? If you wish would love to know how you are doing
I’ve had 4 Ivf retrievals. Got mildly overstimulated on my 1st round, got so painful overnight and the next couple of days… however it was the round when I got the best 2 blastocysts… the next two rounds I had a total fertilisation failure which hurts emotionally so much.. the last round was also a flop… I got an endo operation and started preparing for 5th round and found out I’m pregnant naturally!
OMG What a blessing that is the light at the end of the tunnel ! talk about divine time .i also got the endo surgery July as i am hopping to get pregnant on my own God's willing . I did ivf 3 years ago my son now 1 1/2 was from my second round /transfer and also my last embryo . Congratulations on your baby !
Congratulations. I was struggling to get pregnant too and during many months of trying and one lost pregnancy I got naturally pregnant with my daughter after the endometriosis surgery. It happened right after, within a month of having the surgery. Having that procedure done have been life changing to me.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! My first IVF was a similar experience. Over medicated MAX dose of meds for 14 long days which I believe caused my ovaries to overcooked my eggs. 2nd IVF Roy de I asked for a mini IVF. After 8 days we retrieved 3 egg, 3 fertilized, 2 hit blastocyst on day 6 and now I’m 26 weeks pregnant with a baby girl 🙏
I found you guys during my pregnancy and my daughter is now 6 months old, love you both so much and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of your videos ❤️
My experience was 30 fertilized and ended up with 3 embryos after testing for chromosomal abnormalities. I was in so much pain after the retrieval, I couldn't lay down for days. My son is now a year old, worth it.
@Love2002 My understanding was that I had too many fertilized eggs, which created too much pressure. Not quite OHSS, so I was not hospitalized, but ended up being prescribed strong meds. Prior to the process, I was told that I would only need Tylenol. This rarely happens, good luck!
Same for me. I had 38 eggs and I am still in pain like needles are still poking my follicles when I move a little. The retrieval was 3 days ago. And I can't really do anything but resting in the bed. Drink 2-3 l water, rest, take magnesium, this is what they told me. I have to take extra protein powder 3 times a day since the start of the stimulation to avoid OHSS.

We had our egg retrieval on March 1st 2023, 21 eggs retrieved 19 mature and 18 fertilized and we hope and wait for best results on day 5. Good luck to all ladies who did ivf I know the pain.
@@missbee1330 hello,, we have 6 good tested embryos via PGT-A testing .. we had our first transfer on April 16, and luckily it implanted successfully. We are 29 weeks pregnant right now😊
You guys are so so amazing! Again thanks for your honesty and all the vulnerability that this procedure entails! Sending all the best vibes to those little embryos! They are in awesome hands ❤️❤️❤️
I wish doctors looked more into the underlying causes of infertility. I had good doctors who found the root cause of my infertility…Sure a bandaid solution can work but is it not more beneficial to the mother and child in a future pregnancy to look in depth at the root cause of infertility? I appreciate so deeply that my doctors found the causes of my infertility.
Aww the very best of luck to you both! 6 retrievals done here and the 5 days post egg collection rollercoaster to find out if you have embryos making it to blast are so nerve wracking, worse than the tww for me. 🤞🤞🤞
My retrieval I was not given anesthesia and it was so painful! I was given morphine but it was still so incredibly painful and was frankly traumatic considering I was awake the entire time.
Thank you for sharing your journey. I wish I knew what to expect when I did two cycles of Ivf. Unfortunately both cycles got cancelled due to my eggs not responding to the meds. I wish u guys the best of luck!
I am also a doctor :) and TTC for 6 months, no luck. I was looking into IVF and read a couple of papers that showed the rate of birth defects is higher with IVF. What is your thoughts about it?
My egg retrieval was awful! I was beyond miserable. Nothing helped my pain. It was all worth it but my uterus is very reactive so I had similar pain to my miscarriage.
Awesome video! Thank you so much again for sharing! I have a question I didn't wake up feeling like I took a nice nap. I woke up like someone used my ovaries as punching bags. I couldn't walk straight for about 2 weeks. My hormones I was told were great though. Is that normal to feel pain like that for that long?
Thanks for the video. A lot information! Tomorrow is my Egg retrieval. While waiting for the embryo transfer, will I have to take injections or only pill medications?

My eggs retrieval wasn't very pleasant. I woke up after anesthesia in pain, they had to add me bit of pain medication. Also I was one of those few unlucky ones who felt dizzy and nearly fainted just before leaving the clinic. It seems it was just reaction to anesthesia. So - have someone with you driving you home! It wasn't easy deed for my husband to get me home. And at home I also needed him to look after me. Luckily it was gone in a day.
One thing to remember people is that abstinence for the sperm donation it doesn't just include abstinence of sex but also from masturbation, it seems obvious but I had friends going to the process and even the sperm analysis, and they did not considered masturbation as breaking abstinence.
This is helpful but my husband had a prostatectomy a year ago and just got done with radiation after not getting it all the first time. What would the process/price be to retrieve sperm after such a thing? For iui or ivf? I need some guidance because I have no idea where to begin! Thank you and you guys are great❤️
Please help I’m in recovery and I have read that during egg retrieval. They give you a sedative, but they also give you an opiate or opioid like fentanyl. Again, I said I am in recovery. Is there any way I can deny the opioids?
In my country you have the option to use morfine (you don't get anything else except paracetamol), but this is not mandatory. And you can choose to do it without.
If the sperm count and motility is the issue causing secondary infertility why are drugs necessary for the egg retrieval? Why not just retrieve an egg during the normal cycle?
It’s IV sedation. Not general anesthesia. They even said IV in the video. They just used the term anesthesia as a general understanding for people who aren’t familiar with the process.
