Their only competition crushes this company’s pathetic offerings. The only problem is you have to buy the products with crypto. The only difference between the Pint S and the Pint X? The tire. 🤪 This is what happens when you allow a monopoly to rule the market.
Been trying to narrow down which one wheel to get for a minute now... Definitely appreciate your video! Had great info. That was really helpful and fun to watch. Much thanks, keep it up!
The fact that they are making/sending out an update for the older boards that adds many of the new features demonstrates that they care about their riders, which is very nice to see nowadays.
Price shouldn't be a barrier to fun, if you can afford it. I used to ride Evolve boards for years (owned a bamboo and carbon GTR and a bamboo Hadean) but after trying a Onewheel, I rarely ride my Hadean anymore. Just bought a Onewheel GT last week to go with my Pint X. Float on my friends.
@3:46 what caused the bail? Simply too much throttle? Precisely why I prefer an esk8 with hub motors that can continue rolling in case a battery dies/fails
As far as I can tell it's their bad stance along with it being uphill. You are supposed to ride these standing straight up and use your hips/feet basically to control speed. This gives the board less power overall needed to power the balancing functions (Also feet closer to the wheel helps.) Once you run out of power for anything, weather it's balancing/speed/torque, its just gonna give out. Someone correct me though if this is wrong but at least when I'm riding my PintX you kind of just feel out the limits. The guy in that video clip somehow REGULARLY claims to fall. I'm literally 303lbs and haven't fallen.....yet XD (Like 53lbs over the weight limit of the board.)
My dad owned a pint X and now owns a GT. I, however, am a skateboard guy. When we ride together, I am definitely faster and not speed limited by the board, plus I can modify the skateboard I built. Cool to see the new model though.
But you’re not nearly as nimble. Also, we can casually dip off pavement way easier than on E-Skate. I crashed on my OG pint three times, sold it and rode my two skateboards exclusively. Decided to jump on a GT, finally got the hang of it and now I never ride the skateboards anymore. Just not nearly as versatile.
@wishdrftr oh yeah, he is able to hit the switch to cross without getting off. Just rides over, not on my board! Lol, I definitely respect what they CAN do
I bought a pint x in the beginning of july and then I broke my arm on it. Now it is healed and I am back to riding. I hope this onewheel pint s isnt too good or else ill have to get it too.
@@thenamesPRINDLE , I’m a huge Meepo fan. I ride the hurricane and the mini. What made me love the Onewheel is the ability to ride different terrain and the ability to quickly jump from road to sidewalk. Sidewalks feel so great on the Onewheel. You don’t feel the cracks and can go over uneven sections of the sidewalk without slowing down / stopping and getting off your board. The technology is light years ahead of Esk8. The app alone shows you a map of your route , how fast you’re going , torque, where the nearest outlet to charge is (community can pin them) ect. There’s a fun achievement unlocks in the app and leaderboard for the riders on all boards. Best thing , no remote. Almost feels like your brain controls the onewheel to work.
@@OverThinkGaming I very much appreciate the reply 🙏🏼 I am definitely intrigued now. My only concern, and it’s the only one I’ve ever had with one wheel, is the concern with too much throttle or an error in the coding that causes a nose dive/loss of power leading to a crash like @3:46 How often have you experienced something like that? & does it give plenty of warning of low battery before letting a nose dive happen?
@@thenamesPRINDLE if you ride conservative , you won’t reach “haptic buzz” that gives a warning of the nose dive. After that your board gets “push back” that lifts the nose to warn you. As long as you deweight, you’ll be good Depends on the mode / board. I won’t lie, the pint is horrible , the limitations kick in quit. A GT , is the way to go. Less pushback and less scary.
Hey had that happen the other day felt the vibration learned what the captin morgan stance was. I was scared of it, i was scared of it before it happened that is, i was catious and i was going soo slow it didnt matter if it dropped on me or not due to low battery. Now as for falling of ive nose dived and went 27km/h as a 230lbs rider. Thats nose dive area. It all happened when i was learning and feeling the board, and ive only fallen once good and that was first day learning how to step off properly, i nose dived maybe 3 times learning but never fell and i think because i kept my center of gravity low and back. But i do ride catiously i think i slow over bumps if i think im close to top speed. Aceleration is the biggest one ive noticed so far but its easy to not nose dive from. Just respect the board and it will respect you is what i feel i learnt. I want to vesc it but im nervous to because thats not as secure hardware to keep the nose up, it can have faults more than fm boards but ill still be doing it, keep center mass low and back enough to counter the speed you choose to use @@thenamesPRINDLE
I love my Pint X. I'm super excited for the firmware update! Based on a OneWheel comment on their reveal trailer, we'll get the extra speed too on the X.
Love you love your reviews. Received an ecomobil ET Pro today in the mail thx to your latest review of the board. I've been looking at the pint X for a while. I'm excited to watch your review of the Pint S. Be sure to armor up!😂
I got my first one wheel (pint X) last month after the price drop, and can't stop riding it. Eskates are faster and more stable at speed, but the floaty/carvy feel of the onewheel is unmatched. I don't think the firmware update will unlock the extra 2mph for X owners, hopefully I'm wrong about that. Looking forward to your pint S review
@@kbEskate Seems to be just a matter of updating the website once the new firmware IS out. Probably can't be advertising it like that without it being officially available.
Certainly agree Eskates are way more stable. I have never fell off my Meepo v3s for the 9 months I been riding it. I fell off my Pint like 6x in 2 months while learning to ride it. But yes, I also agree you just can't get the Onewheel feeling on Eskates so I'm slowing getting myself back on the Pint.
Coming from an EUC which are significantly faster having that headroom before the limit is definitely valuable. I don't usually go faster than 20 miles an hour on trails (usually 15-18) but if I'm on a straightaway going 25-30 makes it worth it knowing I can go up to 45 mph.
i got my pint s. its my first one wheel. i took a nasty fall today scuffed up the elbows. i think i got a little too comfortable and lost it on the sidewalk. i gotta get some gear besides my helmet. i love this machine. i cant believe im carving pavement.
Your GT video was one of the first I saw after getting thrown off my Pint. I wasn't going high speed but high enough to get an impinged shoulder from the fall. I'm going for the PIntV drop in kit instead of the Pint S. I made that decision before the Pint S was announced but I really just want a board that won't throw me just to save itself from damaging the battery. Not that I want to damage the battery, but I think my health should come before the health of the board.
Nice to see some decent evolutions in these pricey little all terrain buggies… I’m a dedicated esk8 street surfer 🏄🏽♂️, but I may yet own one of these for off roading, as the prices come down in the resale market
Love it man, you've been really consistent and your reviews are incredibly detailed in the Eboard space. You're making massive improvements, it's not going unnoticed. As a side note, personally using the Floatwheel ADV, it's incredible... the power, right to repair, etc. Cheers
Love my Pint X for maneuverability but love my Floatwheel ADV (pro battery) even more. The Pint S is tempting with its thin profile and treaded tire but in SE Asia Onewheels cost twice as much so I only buy pre-owned onewheels.
I think the Onewheel is interesting, but it’s in a weird space between an eskate and an EUC, and worse than both in many ways. I bet they’re great fun, though.
This is the first time I've been thinking about getting a one wheel , but when I see a person at ur e board skill level eat tar , I'm very hesitant. Thanks for the great content.
I sold my GT last month. I miss the feeling of floating so pint S is arriving this week. The portability of pint platform with *near* GT speed. Also I would love an Ecomobl Pro so I can ride with my neighbor.
I agree that the PINT S is the PINT X, but upgraded Footpads, Maghandle, and Performance tire. Its basically the same, now that the Pint X is the same firmware as Pint S now. I sold my Pint X a month ago and got a GT. My regrets! I love the range of the GT. I'd love to enter into the giveaway you have going on.! Great video though!
The pint S announcement was not bad, but was mostly programming upgrade and footpads. As I'm on the heavier side, i just wished they had improved the battery which would help in terms of torque. I know the pint s can still ride with my weight but its on hills where i see the difference, which in my case, there are many where I usually ride. Im still rocking my XR with a vnr kit, but im thinking of getting another board. Depending on the reviews once people start getting their boards, i might change my mind... maybe. Still is good to see a board as it should have come out originally on the pint x.

I’ve never ridden a one wheel type vehicle, but it looks so fun
But theres also the floatwheel, in my opinion a way better choice for bang-for-buck
Good that FM can update the X to S with just a fw update. Regardless, OWs really need competition to bring more innovation
They are afraid of competition. That's why they hold so many patients and sue other companies. They will be the downfall of themselves.
Their only competition crushes this company’s pathetic offerings. The only problem is you have to buy the products with crypto. The only difference between the Pint S and the Pint X? The tire. 🤪 This is what happens when you allow a monopoly to rule the market.
They have had competition, but they shut them all down so they can dominate the market
They could do the same to the pint as well aka rewheel but not only did they not, they made sure new firmware prevents you from rewheel.
@@Oneeyedoyster Thats what I did with my OG pint was "REWHEEL". I've been able to go up to 22 mph for 2 years now on my OG pint with battery upgrade.

well to be honest the fact that they care about their riders really shows because of the amount of lawsuits they've had to deal with
Never had a one wheel but this video is very informative. Got me thinking about one now!!! Thanks!

Let's get it!!! If one wheel can support heavier rider i would be all over it :)
GT-S is for you then.
just ordered the pint s, which will be my first onewheel board! I cant wait!

Custom shaping is blowing mosfets fuses. I suggest riding on the presets like pacific or skyline. This is affecting both X and S
Does it work good up hills off-road
