Absolutely fantastic, thank you so much. My aux battery has been dead for a while and I'm only just thinking about doing it. I've ordered the battery and it should arrive in a week and with your help now it will be so much easier - thanks again - LOVE AND RESPECT FROM AUSTRALIA
Worked perfect. I really loved the detailed description of the step by step (even things like moving up the seat, leave driver door open, remove negative battery cable first, etc...[all the tips, hints, and clues, even the socket sizes]) THANK YOU SIR!
Just did this. A telescoping magnet really helped with the nuts and metal plate on the removal and reinstall. Great tip to move the seat all the way back to flip the carpet all the way forward. Easier job than I expected.
Worked great. I had to take a flat head to the old small battery terminal and bend it 180 degrees to clear the cage. Installed the new one facing outside you have (genius). Cleared my 2008 white battery light (without the text for maintenance).
My dude I'm by far Not a mechanic BUT THANKS TO YOU I just replaced my battery in my 2007 gl 450...U ARE SOOO SOLID & SPOT ON WITH DIRECTION...THANK YOU! PLEASE show us how to replace the front headlight housing...THANKS AGAIN!!!
Today you made my day; brown cable was loose, so the battery sign showed up. Only thing I had to do was connect the small brown wire! Now all ok. Thank you for the clear video and greetings from Amsterdam, The Netherlands!
One other thing...How can either the auxiliary battery or main battery be removed if the main battery is dead? Is there a way to move the front passenger seat while unpowered?
You will need to jump start the vehicle and keep it running to move the seat. Once the seat is moved etc. Turn off the vehicle and follow the steps in the video to zero out the car.
*I heard a rumor that in one of those remote tribes' language, the word 'Mercedes' translates to 'needlessly'... & the word 'Benz' translates to 'over-engineered'.* It seems MB has defaulted to the act of (needlessly) 're-creating the wheel'... but evidently, the wheel is now being re-created in the most complicated of ways possible. : ( And it's all in the name of increased 'post sale' profit... and this is continually happening, even in spite of the *HUGE* amount of inconvenience being realized by MANY of their customers in the form of time consuming & expensive repairs. And as a (planned) consequence, the increased costs in labor/parts often times effectively creates a deterrent to budget-conscious owners desiring to perform their own repairs to their beloved MB vehicles. And you can count me as one of those owners. And again, due to the many models of MB cars that require more time, effort & money to fix the now bewildering complexity of often (normally) simple maintenance/repairs found on most other 'standard vehicles' (that aren't branded a Mercedes Benz)... many loyal owners are forced to forgo the DIY process & pay the *premium* prices being commanded for genuine MB parts & labor (performed by MB dealership service departments). It's just ridiculous. I think MB translates quite simply to... The Money Pit. And to be clear, I own a 2001 'money pit'... & I'm finally realizing that... the longer I own it, the more the car reveals (through unavoidable repairs/maintenance) that the overly complex ways in which MB designed & implemented many things... that these particular parts/systems, etc could have (and should have) EASILY been made... well... simpler. What's pretty disheartening to me is that when I was a young lad, I always thought that it would be a great day in my life when I could finally say that I'm a proud owner of a Mercedes Benz. For many years, I thought that to myself. And yes, when that day finally happened about 5 or so years ago, I definitely WAS as proud as I thought I would be. But years later, I've come to realize that way too much money... as well as many (needless) long hours have been spent on keeping my MB in 'top shape'. And again, I blame MB for these 'systemic issues'. And finally, as I end my long & winding rant, I'm realizing that all of this time/money spent has made me much more of a salty/bitter owner toward MB. And honestly, it's made me more sad (as opposed to being mad) than anything else. And I say 'sad' because I honestly feel the 'old Mercedes way of doing business' is not only gone... but I also feel that it's likely gone FOREVER. : ( Sorry for the long rant.
Great Vid. Thumbs Up!....Looks like you should replace both batteries at the same time if they are near end of life. Just FYI, if you are putting back the old "main" battery, you should clean all the acid residue off - soap and water. You can see light acid film on the top of the battery. Believe it or not, that can cause a drain on the battery because it is a "short". It will shorten the life of the battery. It is small, but over time it is a battery killer. You can also see a small amount of rust on your battery tray from acid leaks.......neutralize and clean. If you have time reseal with paint or rust sealant such as Loctite Extend Rust Neutralizer, 1381192. Using an "Acid Neutralizing" Battery Mat is helpful as well to preventing the rust from happening by adsorbing the acid. You can find them on Amazon. They are harder find in the larger sizes for the big batteries used by a lot of the luxury vehicles.
Not sure if you monitor these comments as I know you have a lot of helpful videos going on but my GL320's battery goes flat if I leave it in the garage for more than a week. is this normal? PS. Just found out that my rear power outlet is hard wired in as it has a rear dash cam that monitors 24/7..........would this be the problem? Thanks again and more LOVE AND RESPECT FROM AUSTRALIA
Hi great video, I’m interested in rear parking lamp , one is working the other is not and I checked all the bulbs and they are all good. I have a Mercedes Benz R350L 2006. How would I go about getting the lamp to work again?
Great video, very informative! Hopefully replacing this on my customers car will rectify the stuck in P, there are a few more faults with the car which may also be associated with this auxiallry battery.
Hi Sir always enjoy your videos i have an issue with my 2007 ML350, I am seeing the following message on the dash in red " Drive to workshop without changing gears " any ideas what going on with my vehicle your help is greatly appreciated
Your transmission is experiencing some sort of failure. It could be in limp mode as well. This is a safety mode that prevents the transmission from shifting into different gears in an attempt to prevent further damage and get you home. Have it checked immediately.
Very informational . I just ordered an auxillary battery for my 2006 ml500 and i will try and install myself using this video. Meanwhile, how do you tilt the steering on the 2006 ml 500? Never did since i bought it 8 yrs ago. is it electronic? If manual, am i missing something?
Great Video , Should be same location for 2010 ml 350?? I have done my main battery twice and never noticed the small auxiliary battery which I'm going to change since it's 11 Years old..Thanks JJ
Thanks bro for you top videos . Did you ever faced an ML320 w164 empty battry after 5 - 6 hours and diagnostic check didn't connect ? We tried all normal ways ... new battery , alternator ....
Great video. Thanks. For 2009 GL320 diesel, getting an error when trying to start (it will not start) that says something to the effect of vehicle not in park, in red letters. Then says "Don't forget your key!" Wondering if low battery in key fob can cause no start, or if it's the small battery - or both. It did this before and would not let me shift gears. I discon battery for 20-20 minutes, it started normally. But all this fun weirdness seemed to occur right after I hooked up a cheap scanner to the OBD2 and tried to erase CEL codes. Immediately thereafter the car would not start and displayed the same or similar messages. What do you think?
First of all, you have very helpful videos! 🙂 Can the auxiliary battery cause the radio/back-up camera display not to come on? I have a 2014 ML350 4Matic and all the fuses associated with the radio are good. I am not getting any sound or display at all. I also disconnected and reconnected the main battery, but it's still not working. PLEASE HELP!!!
I have a mercedes ml300 2009 make. Was sitting unused for a while at mercedes garage. They tell me they replaced main battery but when I eventually picked it up the auxiliary battery warning came up. After an hour or so drive ABS,EBV,ESP unavailable showed on dash. I parked it and tried to drive it the other day but has difficulty in changing gears I think it's in a limp mode. Does changing both batteries help me?
Great video thank you. I have a Mercedes ml350 2008. I need to change both batteries like you showed. Your saying I don’t need an external power source or anything to save the on board systems when I unhook the battery if the key is off and the door is open right?
Thank you. Your video was a great help and I changed the battery as you showed. I’m still having a problem with it not wanting to shift into higher gears. I can drive about 30 mph. Would you have any ideas? Also could you recommend a good code scanner tool? I have a 2008 Mercedes ml350 all wheel drive. I’m newly subscribed to you channel and I love it. Thanks
It sounds like your vehicle's transmission might be in limp mode. I recommend the icarsoft scanners. They are brand specific and available for the Mercedes. Low voltages and dead batteries have a way of messing with these transmissions. You may need to do a transmission reset . I have a video on that.
You are by far the most thorough repair guy on RUclips :) I had white battery icon for a while (about 4 months, barely drive car (maybe once a week). Had trouble starting my car one time…. Turned over, wouldn’t start. I let it sit for about 15 mins then started. Just a few days ago, car wouldn’t start. Turned over, but no start. Wouldn’t start with a jump either. Eventually, when I turned key it just clicked. Auto guy says my battery is now dead. However when we have the jumper cables on, it turns over (no start)…. Hope that made sense. Anyway-ANY idea what it might me? Could Aux Battery cause a no start? I never got a Red Battery warning light. Is my alternator bad? Just had starter replaced 5 months ago. Im so confused. (I have both new main and aux battery) … want to replace these before I get it towed but I’d like to know your opinion.
This happened to me too, no point in getting it towed if this happens. You may have to replace the main battery, but you definitely have to replace the auxiliary battery, and you have to remove the main battery to change the auxiliary batter, so it’s easy to do them both at the same time. I know it’s been a while and surely it’s been fixed, but just know next time you get the white battery symbol to replace the auxiliary before the main battery gets damaged again.
Nice video.... I had this same white battery sign on my dash board and my radio is talking out. I guess it’s cause of the battery. I changed it and the battery sign is still on the dash board. Could there be something else causing the white battery sign to remain on the dash board?
Hi 👋,,, I'm having issues with my 2001 mercedes slk 320 electrical system.... Latest issue is the screen wash pump won't work , I've checked pump is ok ,, question is , is there a relay for it anywhere or anything else that would stop it working 🤔 , eg the k40 board ..... any help would be much appreciated 🙏 👍
Hi i i have a 2008 meecedes E350 AMG I have a battery warning light on the dash, my regular battery is brand new and my alternator is good, i was looking for the auxiliar battery buth i cant find it any idea where it could be thanks in advance
I have a 2013 ML 350. I purchased a new aux battery. Why not just recharge the battery instead of replacing? Can i recharge the aux battery with a smart charger? Or is it better to replace instead of recharge? Thanks
Fantastic thank. But I need to change the auxiliary battery on my R Class and it's right under the driver's foot and next to the main battery under the seat
This video is extremely helpful. Thanks a lot. But I have a problem with my sound system which is exactly like this very one on your vehicle. The issue is, I can't connect my phone because it keeps saying "Phone Not Available". I have tried everything but nothing works. It seems Bluetooth facility didn't come with the sound system. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Hi! I'm having the same issue thanks to your video I notice where it was located the battery, I test the battery out the little out and it said 12v could it be that the battery even though it said that it's still have the voltage,do I need to change it or check other part?
Thank you very much. I have a question 🙋🏻♂️: my ac in my ml350 it’s not cooling wheel , a test to see if it needs gas, but the ac gas it’s fine . . I have to replace the auxiliary batterie because is bad. And also the radiator is leaking very little . Do you know if one of this reasons maybe the problem with the AC??? What I Should do?? Thanks
Question is if you disconnect your main battery to chance auxiliary battery do you lose any save memory on you audio or navigation or any other equipment or do we have any other problem on any electronic device.
Good job, nice video, it sounded like I could hear your power steering pump going out in the back ground, you might want to check your fluid level on that. I gave you a thumbs up on this one.
I appreciate the comments and the thumbs up. The power steering pump is noisy - fluids are good. (Probably will change it out before it dies). That's a good observation!
Great video! I've got a 2015 c300. any idea where I can locate my auxiliary battery? I've heard its in the trunk several times but I've removed all carpets there and still can't seem to figure out where it is. Thanks in advance
How long would the auxiliary battery last on an avg? Is it ok to replace it with OEM Duracell 1.3ah 12v? Do you change the main and auxiliary battery at the same time to be safe?
Would the auxiliary battery stop car starting I've got. Mercedes a class In it wont turn over I've powered starter up a. It runs (Pulled off cap of relay) But won't start unless u power up the. Igniter wire I checked wires on relay 12v on one positive main wire 3volts on live that powers switch for relay I'm assuming the battery powers up Sam units an alike So stopping it starting Will test will meter tomorro
Is this where you would find the aux battery for a c320 as well? battery light came on replaced big battery and then a few days later the light came back on so maybe the aux battery needs to be changed?
Hey brother, great lesson. My brother got a used 2009 ML320 today and we towed home. It did start at first with a boost and we let it run for about 45 min and I did noticed it's saying "Auxiliary Battery needs repair" I wasn't sure what that mean. Now I turned off and try boosting it up forever but it will not start at all. Plus I have the window down and I can't put it up. So, how can I move the passenger seat forward and backward? Please help me out. Thanks.
Sounds like the main battery is totally dead. I would jump start the vehicle and move the seat as needed to gain access. If the main battery is dying/dead it will also trigger the Auxiliary Battery needs repair as well. You need to take care of the main battery issue and while you're in there might as well change the auxiliary one too. Good luck!
Thanks Bro, Yes I did jump started again and it worked now. But I think I am just going to change the Auxiliary Battery for now and will see. Thanks again.
I have a 2011 ML350, this video is dead on for the battery change, works for main battery also. Also did not lose the codes, per the instructions. HOWEVER if you are changing the Auxiliary battery for the first time, the bracket that maintains the auxiliary battery has to be removed and that is a pain in the arse. The tab only works if you have reversed the battery position so the leads are toward the inside the vehicle rather than toward the outside.
I’ve had thesame issue just changed the Auxiliary battery the message is gone but one issue my radio on screen display is not coming on. Could you please help?
Hello, i have a 2012 GL450 with keyless start, should i be concerned with the system loosing memory as well. Should i try the all systems off and the door open method?
Great video thanks. Does the nex battery need to be charged beforehand or does it come charged? Also is this the same battery as needed for a ML 320 CDI? Thanks
Both don't have to be changed at the same time. I suggest changing the auxiliary when changing the main battery, but not necessarily the the other way around.
Hello sir I have a problem with my mercedes ml 320....its stiil blockbustere the navigatioon...it goes but I can not go to orders only from the steering wheel...the auxiliary battery is not changed...it may be from the battery????
I did the air filter changed on my 2007 ML350. When I put back the cover on and the metal cliff at the back which I pulled forward to hold the cover and felt off. How do I put it back in. I tried to hook it back on but some how it is too high. Can you help?
Will it make sense to try to bring the old aux battery back to life? It currently has a little over 5V. It was the factory battery that’s been in the car for 6 years. Thanks
@@iRepairAutosI already replaced it with the new one. I was just wondering if I can recharge the old one or I should just recycle it since it’s been in the car for 6 years. Thx
Mi amigo. Muchas gracias por sus vide😊os 🤗😊🇵🇷. Cuando reemplazo la Vateria de 12 voltios. Me sucedió que la batería la habían montado con los polos o cables hacia adentro. Me dio un trabajo! Pues no podía ver. Utilice un espejo para poder ver y desconectar.
You said something about electronic status zero before changing the battery. So basically take out the push button start as well, AC off and keep the driver side door open? Where do I see the status as zero?
Thanks for your response. Ok then, I recently changed the battery and all the preset were still operational, for example, all the windows and the moonroof opening up when holding the unlock button on the fob keypad for a few seconds. That did not change. I did look for one but did not find one.
I have been searching your channel and others looking for help to diagnose my 2005 E500 4Matic Cruise Control issue. My problem is that at exactly 50 MPH or higher, cruise will not engage, below that speed it works fine which is terrible because anything below 55 or more is often stop and go traffic. I am reluctant to think it is a speed, abs or other sensor because it works up to 49 MPH. Once I try to accelerate using the Cruise stem and reach the magic 50 MPH it shuts off. Any thoughts are welcome. The Curmudgeon Man.
I've got a w211 2003 e500 I'm replacing the main battery.. will the auxillary battery keep power to the electronics/computer while I'm changing out the main battery?
Great question! No - the auxiliary battery is for the gear selector and the brake assist. You can avoid losing all your settings by making sure all of your components are zeroed out (completely) off. See the video above on how to do it. You can also connect a settings saver (plugs into your cigarette lighter) but I'm not a big fan of those....
No the auxillary battery is for the braking system and gear selection if the main battery is dead. I show how to keep all your settings by zeroing out the mercedes in this video. Please look at the video Thanks.
Great video!! I see you use original Mercedes part. I found Aux batteries that fit my LM350, one has a 12v 7AH number. Does this matter at all? Thanks again!
Good day. My 2007 mercedes GL 450 starts up slowly each time I start the car but just today I tried to start it the engine didn't turn over no crack no start.. I have swapped batteries yet it didn't start. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?
It could be your starter and your alternator. I say alternator because if it's not charging then the new battery will die. The starter could be also worn out. Have you tried jumo starting the vehicle?
@@iRepairAutos I tried to jumpstart the vehicle but it didn't turn over. I would have the starter and alternator checked out.. thanks for your instant reply. but I learned changing the starter could be difficult.. any hint on how it's done?
Do you have an icarsoft scanner? If so you can diagnose the ignition and see if that's an issue. Scanner here amzn.to/2MI76ZT I will do a video on this..
Hello, Red battery light and red BREAK light comes on episodicly on dash cluster. Alternator and main battery has been replaced. Could this be a aux battery problem? PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have 07 ML 500
No. The aux battery warning is a white light. For the Break light check your brake pad wear sensors, I have a video here ruclips.net/video/BbJWCBbJMig/видео.html about that. Also check your brake fluid level. Your battery and alternator connections may need looking at. Also check the pully/belt that is connected to your alternator.
This was great! I ended up changing the auxillary and regular battery at that. But now I get a red battery symbol popping up every now and then any suggestions??????
I'm glad you got that figured out. The battery indicator "RED" comes on as the battery starts to die because your alternator was either dying or dead. Good catch!
I have watched several videos on this subject but none answer the question for my 2015 C-250. Does anyone know where the auxiliary battery is in this model?
hi, I need your assistance I have a 2003 Mercedes e500 and I'm on the process of testing the charge system and both batteries, so the main battery reads 12.7 Volts at fully charged when I start the engine it jumps to around 14 Volts, the auxiliary battery reads 12.95 with the engine off but it will remain the same even when I start the engine, I'm not sure if is that normal Or supposed to act like the main battery plz let me know. note. the auxiliary battery is brand new I will appreciate your response
Absolutely fantastic, thank you so much. My aux battery has been dead for a while and I'm only just thinking about doing it. I've ordered the battery and it should arrive in a week and with your help now it will be so much easier - thanks again - LOVE AND RESPECT FROM AUSTRALIA

Thanks! Sorry to hear that those parts are missing. You can find them at the dealership and or some of those auction sites. Good luck.
I used the Amazon Aux battery replacement link you shared; the Amazon link advises me that that part does not fit my 2007 ML350?

Great video thank you. I have a Mercedes ml350 2008. I need to change both batteries like you showed. Your saying I don’t need an external power source or anything to save the on board systems when I unhook the battery if the key is off and the door is open right?
That is correct.
You are by far the most thorough repair guy on RUclips :)
I had white battery icon for a while (about 4 months, barely drive car (maybe once a week).
J
Thanks
The car charges it... however the aux battery only has so much life in it and eventually doesn't hold the charge. Replacing is the only option.
@@iRepairAutos thanks brother
Fantastic thank. But I need to change the auxiliary battery on my R Class and it's right under the driver's foot and next to the main battery under the seat
This video is extremely helpful. Thanks a lot. But I have a problem with my sound system which is exactly like this very one on your vehicle. The issue is, I can't connect my phone because it keeps saying "Phone Not Available". I have tried everything but nothing works. It seems Bluetooth facility didn't come with the sound system. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Such a detailed and fantastic video! Thank you for this.
Thanks! Glad it's helping.
Would it be the same process for jump start or recharge the main battery of a 2008 diesel ml320 Mercedes?
Good job, nice video, it sounded like I could hear your power steering pump going out in the back ground, you might want to check your fluid level on that. I gave you a thumbs up on this one.
I appreciate the comments and the thumbs up. The power steering pump is noisy - fluids are good. (Probably will change it out before it dies). That's a good observation!
I have a 2012 ML 63. I found the battery in right rear fender. I can't get the battery out of the holder after taking out all the nuts. Any ideas?
Mi auto ml 350 2011 me salió código de mal funcionamiento batería auxiliar. Si la cambio resuelvo el problema?
Please teach me how to replace the auxiliarybatteryon my 2020 Mercedes GLB 250 ,thank you
Great video! I've got a 2015 c300. any idea where I can locate my auxiliary battery? I've heard its in the trunk several times but I've removed all carpets there and still can't seem to figure out where it is. Thanks in advance
check at the driver side dashboard on the side
Thanks very well explained good job done 🤙
How long would the auxiliary battery last on an avg? Is it ok to replace it with OEM Duracell 1.3ah 12v? Do you change the main and auxiliary battery at the same time to be safe?
Muchas gracias por el video, tengo un problema no puedo desplazar del todo mi asiento del copiloto automatico...por que es? Gracias
Would the auxiliary battery stop car starting
I've got.
Mercedes a class
In it wont turn over
I've powered starter up a. It runs
(Pulled off cap of relay)
But won't start unless u power up the. Igniter wire
I checked wires on relay
12v on one positive main wire
3volts on live that powers switch for relay
I'm assuming the battery powers up Sam units an alike
So stopping it starting
Will test will meter tomorro
Excellent job and thank you
can you pls tell me the part number for the vent port that is locate above the main betterie ! Thx
If the back up battery is removed at that point in time does it affect the car memory?
What year is this? I have 2010 where would the auxiliary battery be located?
amazing info? the right information and to the point. awesome
You should zero out the car to avoid losing memory settings etc.
Great video thanks. Does the nex battery need to be charged beforehand or does it come charged? Also is this the same battery as needed for a ML 320 CDI? Thanks
+AusTexish battery comes charged. Same battery for ml 320 cdi, you can also check with the parts dept at Mercedes. They will tel you that for free.
Thanks, this was great and instruction video was perfect. Replaced this yesterday and all came out well. Thanks
+AusTexish glad the video helped you. That's for the feedback.
Keith, you da man!
hi brother from zimbabwe well done
This was a very well done and informative video. Do both batteries have to be replaced at the same time, or can you only replace one at a time?
Both don't have to be changed at the same time. I suggest changing the auxiliary when changing the main battery, but not necessarily the the other way around.
Hello sir
I have a problem with my mercedes ml 320....its stiil blockbustere the navigatioon...it goes but I can not go to orders only from the steering wheel...the auxiliary battery is not changed...it may be from the battery????
I did the air filter changed on my 2007 ML350. When I put back the cover on and the metal cliff at the back which I pulled forward to hold the cover and felt off. How do I put it back in. I tried to hook it back on but some how it is too high. Can you help?
Will it make sense to try to bring the old aux battery back to life? It currently has a little over 5V. It was the factory battery that’s been in the car for 6 years. Thanks
I would replace it. Especially if you're replacing the main battery. It's too much of a pain to put off replacing it.
Thanks for tell me what the aux battery is for.
You said something about electronic status zero before changing the battery. So basically take out the push button start as well, AC off and keep the driver side door open? Where do I see the status as zero?
Would this be the same general procedure for a 2014 Mercedes S550?
Yes. Aux battery may or may not be in the same location.
iRepair Autos I did this changed the battery but it’s still not shifting
Is the axillary battery in the same location for gl 450 2007
Thanks for your response. Ok then, I recently changed the battery and all the preset were still operational, for example, all the windows and the moonroof opening up when holding the unlock button on the fob keypad for a few seconds. That did not change. I did look for one but did not find one.
Outstanding job!!
do you have to reset anything when replace aux battery
Can you show this procedure where the auxillary battery is inside the cabin, under the glove compartment, like on Mercedes GLA 250?
I have been searching your channel and others looking for help to diagnose my 2005 E500 4Matic Cruise Control issue. My problem is that at exactly 50 MPH or higher, cruise will not engage, below that speed it works fine which is terrible because anything below 55 or more is often stop and go traffic. I am reluctant to think it is a speed, abs or other sensor because it works up to 49 MPH. Once I try to accelerate using the Cruise stem and reach the magic 50 MPH it shuts off. Any thoughts are welcome. The Curmudgeon Man.
Hmmmm. Do you have an icarsoft scanner. It will tell us exactly what dtc error codes your cruise control system is throwing.
Hello, can you help with location of 2014 mercedes sl auxiliary battery?!
I try to use original OEM when at all possible. How much of a difference in price is the after market one?
Half price. But I also want to make sure that the AH numbers matter.
Here's what matters: physical size, voltage, and amps; the OEM is made with non spill fiberglass.
Thanks! Top-notch video, thx again! Can you make one on how to change the window switch, driver's side?
Hi to help I have Mercedes Benz C LA 250. And is not starting And every time I put the keys All the light I hope you can help me Thank you
Is it cranking?
Please can you tell me where is Auxiliary battery located in a Mercedes E220 Blutec 2015 Model
Try using your remote to lock then unlock your vehicle. It may be in a weird anti-theft mode.
@@iRepairAutos I already did but it didn't work. When I turn the key it makes a click sound and nothing else no crank no start.
Do you have an icarsoft scanner? If so you can diagnose the ignition and see if that's an issue. Scanner here amzn.to/2MI76ZT
I will do a video on this..
Do you work on the gl350 diesel .."? Mine it’s cranking but no start now new batteries in it
Check fuel pump fuse, relay and pump. I would plug in a good diagnostic scanner and start looking at dtc codes.
Hello,
Red battery light and red BREAK light comes on episodicly on dash cluster.
Hi Tania, What's the year make and model on your vehicle?
Hi it's a 2010 ML350 but I figured it out....its the alternator
I'm glad you got that figured out. The battery indicator "RED" comes on as the battery starts to die because your alternator was either dying or dead. Good catch!
Hello, my Ml350 year 2008 only blocks on position P I do not know what to do or why
Your charging system and batteries are functioning as designed.
@@iRepairAutos thanks very much bro
Hello would this be the same for a 2007 e350 wagon? The battery light has been coming on and off for the last 2 days
+Michael Reyes very similar. However your batteries are not under your front passenger seat. Check your trunk.
Good video. Where's the aux battery on a 2009 R350?
It is also located under the front passenger seat, beneath the carpet like the one in this video.
What is that computer beside that battery?
Very helpful thanks
