honestly it feels like they gave him the spider arms so miles and peter don't have a power imbalance. miles has venom powers and it'd be kind of weird for peter to not have some sort of ability as well (and the game also needed new mechanics), so i think they didn't really care about it story wise 🤷♀️
I agree, I said this in the video. But the alternative was to give Peter Web constructs or have him utilize his gadgets from the first game or have him be the one to use web constructs His mid air jump -> concussive blast
There’s a theory it looks to high tech as it’s coming out of no where and they aren’t in that era yet and since Insomniac noticed this and didn’t have a way to combat it and make it look good they just avoided it in the cutscenes.

My reasoning would be that it operates on a charge, and that Peter saves it for high combat situations (i.e gameplay) and during cutscenes it's either on low charge/unneeded in his eyes

There's one you missed. During one of the missions when Peter is trying to save someone and gets thrown away, he uses the arms like a cage to shield him and the person from damage while rolling. Also they're probably not shown as much since Peter has had almost no interactions with the avengers and he got the arms from Tony.

@@thatboikhy yeah no problem. I dont think he ever met the avengers so it was a random upgrade he got in the game, but because it was an important comic event, they downplayed it in the 2nd game.

They are saving the web constructs for silk. You should replay the game, Because there are multiple cutscenes after the sandman fight where he uses the Iron Arms.
Can you give examples? Because I believe I'd remember if that was the case. And I guess saving web constructs for silk makes sense, but I feel like Peter should've had them. Given his tinkering experience, I think he'd be the first to develop web constructs and use them in combat. As shown by his old gadgets web bomb, web tripwire, the web blossom, the ricochet web? Peter just makes more sense to have them over those iron spider arms, imo

I feel like instead of th pe dashes for Peter the upwards dash could be like a slingshot up liek in web of shadows and the forwards dash just be like a mid air slingshot forward, it would also solve the issue of only being able to slingshot on the ground and be more like tasm2 game.
