Elgin St. is a bustling thoroughfare that runs through the University of Houston. Lined with a variety of apartments, restaurants, and small businesses, this vibrant street is a hub of activity for locals and visitors alike. However, it's important to note that there are areas where panhandlers tend to gather that may cause concern for some motorists. While the street may be a bit bumpy in areas, the potholes, cracks, and road repair patches do not take away from its usefulness. The faded road markings may add a touch of concern for some motorists. Overall, Elgin St. is in fair condition.

Good - Road that exhibits some minor cracking, a few potholes, a few repaired joint seals, minor alligator cracks, and minor road humps. A road that experiences vehicle congestion and exhibits road signs that are slightly damaged and/or unclear. A road that shows some wear and exhibits unevenness in some areas. Road markings and road signs show slight wear.
