I had no idea this was coming to PSVR2. I already put in literally hundreds of hours on the quest and PC versions. I'm super excited for all the people who get to experience this masterpiece for the first time!
I have played this on pc and standalone, though I haven’t played it on PSVR personally, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played it yet due to owning a PSVR2
Good call with diving in on the difficulty options. Such a smart design choice for people who might get overwhelmed. I've been playing on Normal, and i love the balancing. I'll probably crank it up post-game and really go ham with the combat.
I did something I rarely do and pre-ordered, knowing this would be my type of game. So, needless to say, I'm super relieved to hear your reaction to the PSVR2 port!
The game mechanics remind me of Dayz. The survival aspect, finding food & Ammo as well as caring for your weapons. Can’t wait to try this game out. Thanks!
If ITR 1 sells well on PSVR 2, I'm sure they'll port the sequel. That said, Sony doesn't have an early access program, so ITR 2 would probably have to hit full release before getting ported.
I was regretfully skeptical up until it was mentioned that enemies can be outright disabled. Not big on horror, but now I don't need to let that stop me. It'll go on my wishlist now. Will look into it when I have some spending money and time.
Excellent review. Glad to hear it has options for making it less stressful if I so choose because the Survival genre can be anti-chill and sometimes I want the atmosphere without the stress of dying of hunger or weapons breaking down and needing to scavenge for resources while crazy things are out to get me.
There are some framerate issues here and there even in performance, but unless you're super sensitive to FPS changes in VR it shouldn't bother most people, but they are there.
Please tell me they utilised touch controls for grabbing stuff like in the resident evil games I don't know why Arizona Sunshine felt the need to make me squeeze the life out of anything I held, like every gun was a fish waiting to jump out of my hand I even slightly relaxed pressure on the R1 button. But please no more
My ONLY complaint watching this is that the anomalies look basic. On pc they warp everything which dramatically adds to the experience. I’m super bummed about that, they look the same as they do on quest.
How did to feel about holding items? I’m new to VR and new to this game. I just tried the tutorial and found it fascinating other than issues with grabbing items. Did you experience this also? Really dragging down my experience so far
Can’t wait to play this game and and this is a overall quest ion not related to the video is there a treadmill for psvr2 want to move around in my games without moving the joystick just thought you would have options
The enemy removal system sounds really cool. Can you remove or nerf specific enemies? For example, if someone enjoys the combat aspect in general but is intimidated by the faster enemies, can they disable or weaken specifically the ones that make then uncomfortable?
Nah, you can't customize specific enemies but there's plenty of options to make it palatable to you. If you've played other horror games, you'll be fine. It's the audio design that makes this game so unnerving but it's not crippling when it comes to scares.
Reprojection runs the game at 60 fps and doubles the output. This makes quality mode match the framepacing of a 60fps youtube video perfectly. The performance mode likely runs at 120fps with drops to lower framerates so when the fps drops it can look choppy on a 60fps video
I plan on streaming this as a first story game to play on my channel is this a good recommendation? Im trying to begin content creation and I am exicted to start
Is it possible to buy the psvr2 controllers separately?? My controllers never worked from the very beginning and i never sent them in because i have a word anxiety about returning things
Still don't understand why there's a safety for guns...I've played this for 30 hours and still can't find a use for having a safety?so so glad about the quality of the port as I put it down on quest in the hope this would be a great port of the pc game and it looks like it is👌
Irl muscle memory/habits and feeling uneasy about it with it off all the time. Sounds weird but having things ingrained in you for years can do that lol.
I don't think it's right to refer to sponsored content (i.e. marketing) as a "review". Can we just reserve that term for videos that say they are an objective review that isn't paid for? (Of course it's entirely up to Jammy if he wants to do sponsored content; it's his channel and he has been transparent about it. It just feels wrong for others to equate it to an unsponsored review.)
@izzard that’s completely fair! for a video like this, these are my honest thoughts but and impressions of the game - but it is a tough one to call it an objective review from an audience standpoint. At the very least I hope that i’ve gotten across how I feel about the game, and I hope that you guys trust that a sponsor won’t affect how I rate something :)
@@izzard I changed it just for you 👍I was just saying gamertag says the triggers weren't put to any significant use and he didn't notice any headset rumble Jammy says that you can tell if a gun is on safety or not just based off the feel of the triggers Jammy obviously spent more time and paid more attention for his video
I already had the game preordered and still got early access. I'm glad I gave it money because the game is worthy of it, it's a total gem. Jammy is speaking truths. I made a video too if you're curious. @izzard
I love this game, or at least i want to but am i the only one that is having issues with a pretty janky experience with the controls? Please tell me i have not set it up properly or something because i would love to explore it further but the mechanics are really making life hard for me.
Was wondering if they are gonna release haptic triggers on PC then googled it and found a video about how to unlock it. what. going to that video after this one. Co's haven't tried enter the radius on my PSVR2 on PC only my quest 3 but will definitely if I can get that working.. I have enter the radius 2 as well but am waiting for them to add some new areas before i jump into that. They did just add armour and in depth difficulty settings though which is cool.. There was no difficulty settings before but now can tweak how alert the enemies are hunger they added just as well. To be honest adaptive triggers aren't that game changing on PC if sony unlocks it it';; be implimented into new games hopefully but as long it is done through a 3rd party app noone will. But tbh it is only rumble features and can live without that. If I buy a PSS5 Pro then yeah but on PC it is not needed especially headset rumble that would do my head in literally.
I bought a psvr2 but returned it, it’s just a bad headset tbh. Maybe I was just spoiled with the quest 3. I’m not sure what people are talking about the visuals are crap. I bought one just for re4 vr and I was utterly disappointed the lenses and resolution are seriously holding this back it’s a shame.
I am wondering, are there two quality, and performance modes there because of future PS5PRO announcement. Meaning you can see how the game would look on the more powerful console, and imagine it being not re-projected?
Project Wingman, Travel The Words, Switchback at launch. But I usually avoid games that wouldn’t be fun to play - I like to keep the channel positive! However - ITR is a fantastic port, and one of the highest rated VR games of all time ;)
