I have finished page 1, and 2 battles in on page 2. I have mostly been playing as Gaia, but some as Ra or Zeus. The Reward you get at the end of page 1 is really badass!
The reason AI built a fast TC is because it's set to a defender style of play, which you can see before entering a match so you can think about your approach before starting the game. It also doesn't help that you had a few hundred of food and wood, but almost no gold. So yeah, sometimes AI is not the smartest, but then there are players own mistakes. Additionally you start each game with a few hundred resourses and (that's actually something the game doesn't tell you directly) you can advance to second age FOR FREE in just four seconds, so building temple immediately is not just an option, it's a must. It makes for a fast and less boring beginning each time.
In the menu, it didn't look like you played to the end; how are you so sure it doesn't reset with randomised blessings, upon beating the end of the gauntlet? I'd also love for it to be a replayable mode.
Wait, I'm not understanding; is this NOT a rogue-like? Each time we play this mode, it's going to be the same maps, same layout every time? That's really disappointing if so. I really hoped each 'run', would have randomised boons and maps, etc
It's not a roguelite, but it has the building blocks there, all they need to do is come up with some game cycle and add stuff like hero selection. Or if not just open it up to modders and let them have a go at it.
So what I am seeing is that this is basically Northgard Conquest mode, it has set paths, you get upgrades (In Northgard you have choice of few), you progress and get stronger, maps have additional boons & banes... Yea this is Northgard Conquest mode... Neat
Hey 👋 Pravus ! May you Pretty Please play Stellaris ? It has changed a LOT since you last played, plus you might find it interesting, maybe the viewers will too !
Be careful, dont tell that to everyone who thinks retold is some "magical" remaster, and is any better than any of the other remaster flops that have come out recently.
I wouldn't say worst, but it doesn't feel like they gave it much attention in the remaster. To give the devs some credit, the AI is smart enough to take advantage of the free Classical Age in this mode at least. Haven't seen much evidence they account for the world twist stuff though, so especially Prometheus' (Titan Gate available right away) is basically a freebie for the player.
@Nirual86 I recommend you use/update advanced tooltips mod. There's many things the player can never know without using that mod, and among them is that some world twists _(the titan gate and villager doubling come to mind)_ only affect the player.
Who are these "Chrono" and "Orion" gods you speak of? Also, Einheri don't increase your units movement speed at all, so it doesn't help with "swarming" as you say in the video. It feels a bit odd to make mistakes like that as someone who covers the game.
Your intro was sick, the way you said the game 👌🏽 liked and subbed
If this was a roguelike it would be such a goo idea.
FINALLY!!! IVE BEEN WAITING ❤ I've been playing daily waiting for you to join.
I'm only 5 battles in, but it has been fun so far.

It's Skirmish but BETTER

I agree 100% unless they rotate it in seasons. Otherwise there is not really too much point of this even existing.
You'll have to leave that for the modders/custom map makers. :)
Yeap, garbo update if it doesn't come with patch notes for MP
It's basically a long series of maps though. So lots of content to play.
@@ChrissieBear I think the concern is there is little to not replay value because it is the same every time.

Been wanting to play this with a friend of mine. Excited for its release!
Northgard has a similar system called conquest I believe. It is a really fun adds great replayability to RTS games.
really really really wish they work on this, or atleast give this seasons etc. this got endless playability if they do it right

Truly glorious
I love this game so much and retold hits right
Hey 👋 Pravus ! May you Pretty Please play Stellaris ? It has changed a LOT since you last played, plus you might find it interesting, maybe the viewers will too !
Agree. Maybe play with the Gigastructure mod too please ?
i hope we are getting age of empires online remastered soon
You can try Celestial version. It have 2 new factions which are Rome and India. And also have constant upgrading.
Prostagma?
Rogan?
Vullermay.
@@Heranara Etimos.
I hope we will get some editor map with ufsark champion and heros war like in the first game.
hey, devs! listen to this man!
is it only 2 players vers 2 ai ? or can 3 players play together against 3 AI for example?
Only 2 players, but I think some of the maps might be 2v1 or up to 2v3. But there is always 2 of you
wtf is that 50k mission and extreme difficulty too? How is that extreme? Looks incredibly easy. lmao
🤫
Praise Pravus
I thought they advertised this as a rogue like originally?
Hi, is there someone that would like to play with me on extreme difficulty? Some levels are really challenging
MORE BIO INC PLEASE
Yeah, AI can't handle any non-default game like the one where you start with many resources.
AoM:R's AI may be among the worst in all RTS.

FIRST?!
Gotta be said, I was turned off the ‘addition’ - free or not - before three minutes in, sorry :-(
Why? It's literally better than skirmish.
