I just ordered what I assume is a leftover version 2 since it was only offered in the tan color and medium size frame. But I got it for $999 with a two year warranty. I added the Glide seat post, fender kit, rear rack and chain lock all for just over $1100 after tax and a "welcome code" that knocked another $75 off. They also had a deal where you buy 3 or more accessories and get 20% off all of them.

Great video - I have a pari Pace 350's (Wife/husband) which for me is an excellent commuter bike. I do not need a class 3 and with the hills in my area (most of the town) the 350 is powerful and handles it well. I agree it would be nice to include the fenders at the price, however, it is nothing to add them along with the rear rack which I did on both our 350's. I think the value for the price in these e-bikes.

Totally agree. Wife and I love our Pace 350’s. Plenty of power. Good range. Comfortable. And easily fast enough of our riding style. Not a single regret buying these bikes. Very happy with Aventon. Going to be a fun summer.

you should probably try to test ride a big battery class 3 ebike first to see if you like the speed and weight and how long/far you expect to go. if you're a speed freak go for a big battery caus range will be more than halved at highest speed setting. but if cruising at 20mph feels more comfortable, you should consider lower power/ smaller battery bike that will also be lighter. focus on the core components quality that are either impossible, expensive , difficult or non standard to upgrade like frame / motor/ battery/hydraulic brakes/sometimes non standard fenders and racks. wear items like tires, derailleur, cassette, shifter or mechanical brakes are easy to upgrade independently as they wear out.. also consider maintenance if you want hassle free reliable daily commuter that won't require frequent cleaning/lubing/tuning, especially if it's not indoor/garage kept. ex belt drive, quality hydraulic brakes, single speed or internal gear hub paired with mid drive

    • @adaboy4z

I went with the Soltera. You will have to buy a better padded seat. I purchased both a suspension seat post plus softer seat. It has 22mph top speed PAS 3. Battery life could be better.

Don't do it. If you have a part that goes bad your bike is now a big paper weight. You will NEVER get a hold of customer service. Do a little search on customer service or try and call their number. you will see they hang up and no one ever answers or emails you back. Seriously. @geemy9675 2 года назад

@@Andrew-it7fb then you should probably look for a 20mph 750W (although nominal power doesn't tell the whole story) ebike, especially if you are planning to use the throttle a lot (20mph limit) and/or don't want to go faster than 20mph. look for the torque value too gearing for faster top speed is a compromise that lowers climbing ability as I discovered with my wife's ride1up 700. it will go 28mph on the flat no problem but will stall on steep hills if you're on the heavier side (I'm 200lbs) or slow down considerably on hills that are not that steep. for same motor/controller faster top speed requires less gear reduction resulting in less wheel torque

I appreciate the review! I'm 6' 3". Do you think I can get an upright ride from this? I'm looking for a super upright ride and it's a challenge to find a decently spec'd bike that is "affordable" and upright for a 6'3" rider (especially if the bike is not available to try).

My Aventon Pace 500 had a controller issue from the git go giving me an error 21 message and cutting out. After multiple calls to the support group (who are not supportive) I managed to talk to a technical person who sent me a replacement controller (which turned out to be used). It cost $100 to install (never reimbursed) and the issue er21 seemed to be solved, but the throttle control no longer works. Now the er21 is starting to come again, though only momentarily. Still trying top get assistance again. If I can I will return the bike.

Nice update! Aventon is killing it with the details. Agree about the rack and fenders, and can't imagine approving that color... I'd also like to know for sure if the height of the handlebars could be even further adjusted down with the stem. For me, seat up, bars down for more control. Which would bring me to the Level...

Aventon is killing its owners with LACK of DETAILED quality control. Battery terminals are getting fried, batteries pop out of the frame while riding, brakes squeal horrendously, rotors arrive warped and are not true-able, frames are warping near the brake calipers on the Level, causing brake stuttering, and more. Screens are hard to read in the sunlight, locking assemblies are failing, and chains are rubbing on the bash guards. Wiring harnesses are failing too, causing all sorts of errors. Very hard to replace the harness. If you buy one of these Direct on line, or at Best Buy you will be royally screwed when there is an issue, as support is next to impossible to get. IF, and thats a BIG IF, you still want to risk buying an Aventon, at least buy it at a dealer who can handle all the problems you are high odds of encountering. Even their dealers hate the bikes, and only carry them because they are one of the few low priced offerings. Most of the time dealers can't get them except for the largest Aventon dealers.

It should be mentioned, if describing this bike as a "commuter bike," that fenders are pretty-much necessary (and add another $85 in this case). Seat comfort should also be discussed, and 2.2" of tire width is not going to add appreciable cushioning (something only so-gently mentioned). I guess that if these reviews were even slightly more critical, Micah could lose access to test bikes, so every bike gets a rave review.

Others are more flexible, but keep the extension about the same.
