That’s because Douglas was known to be a “Rough Rider” due to it’s short wheelbase.

Since Douglas had a short wheelbase and rough riding, did that ever cause it to derail? If so, then what date?
My best bet is yes, even though it is because of the Railway Series books. Awdry is known for making very realistic stories based on real life events.
