While I like a lot of Batman stories, I have 2 favorite Batman run which are Tom King's Batman run and Scott Snyder's Batman run. I have a lot of Batman mini series books: The Long Halloween, The Dark Knight Returns, The Mad Monk, & Night of the Monster Men. But what got back into Batman was the storyline called Under The Red Hood by Judd Winick.
No Alan Grant/Norm Breyfogle is crazy, but I do respect the lack of Hush and, as a big apologist for it, the inclusion of War Games. Though I definitely have a lot to argue with your top ten lol (mine would at most include Year One and The Long Halloween too)
Batman 1 (1940), no hope in crime alley, night of the stalker, a vow from the grave, autobiography of bruce wayne, annual 14 the eye of the beholder, dead reckoning, annual 2 some of these days.
The sequel should have been considered. You're right. But the original storyline, I couldn't do it. I almost placed it on the list just because it's well known, and Jim Lee's art is great, but I dislike the story too much. To me, it marks the beginning of the fall of Jeff Loeb.

But just because he’s overrated doesn’t mean the story wasn’t a lot of fun to read, and it’s certainly better than a lot of other books on this list, especially rules of engagement. I’d rather see cool drawings of Superman snd Batman fight than just “Bat cat bat cat bat cat” monologue story.

And the joker was based on The Man Who Laughs movie, and Superman was based on a 1931 novel called Gladiator, and the whole idea of superheroes comes from pulp adventurers and the Scarlet Pimpernel. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s how things were those days, when comics were seen as disposable fare. While I very much enjoy this sort of trivia, it just doesn’t fit in this particular video
@comicbelief nope. Try The Grim Joker by Theodore Tinsley, also from '36 and stolen from a Shadow magazine story. Supes is a rip-off of Doc Savage, Fortress of Solitude and all.
@@KardboardKenny my point is this can be said of any character. The X-Men plagiarized the Doom Patrol. The Avengers copied the Justice League. There’s a 1950s sci-fi movie that’s pretty much the plot of the Incredible Hulk. Plagiarism is not an exception, it’s the rule
