Thanks for the consistently great content! I love caving in ARK, but I'm frequently annoyed that one only gets to the XP boxes by the time one has basically already cleared out the cave. Plus, you usually want an imprinted and leveled mount to even start going into caves for the artefacts. But visiually and lore-wise, those buried ruins are really extremely cool... Always gives me the chills to think about centuries of survivors before having explored and inhabited The Island only to be overrun by bugs and other nasties! And I love the attention to detail that went into Ark Ascended. Shortly before you started grappling to the artefact, those rocks look element infused, because they are in proximity to the Artefact spawn. Not a problem on a healthy Ark, but we all know how that kind of thing goes on Aberration...

Maybe dumb question/ideas, but does the Bary "roar" draw agro? Also, rare flowers seem to be a decent way of drawing crowds when/where you want them. Haven't seen anyone do this, so is it not good in tougher caves?
That walkway at about 6 min into the video, when I lost all my stuff on Sunday (and 2 mounts) it was stacked with dinos all over. there where that many they couldn't get past each other and I had to clear it in waves, took me about 10 min to do :-(
That kind of depends. Not sure on servers, but in single player it can take 10 min or so and there might be a limit of number of spawns per day. Not sure if it is still the case, but those shimering force-fields around the TEK structures in the caves used to give an indication if an artefact is spawned in. They are pulsing and emit sound when there is one to be picked up. The artefact can usually respawn in SP before you even exit the cave. If it is the first time you go into caves, spawning of mobs, loot and artefacts are sometimes a little bugged. I would recommend to "initialize" the cave by walking in past the start with the weird lighting and then go out again, best even out of render range to be sure. I usually do that before building my log-out shack, so the spawns inside the cave have a chance to happen. We all want that sweet cave loot!

Rare flowers are extremely good for hard snow cave as they give a buff where you can't be knocked off your mount
on gportal there is no ascended servers...only evolved. do i get an evolved server even if im going to be playing ascended?
I build over the gaps in this cave on my server if the server allows it I've always felt more comfortable
