Matt and the guys had a great opportunity to get on the water .... they had fun even though the weather turned a few hours into their trip. Soon the weather will be less wind so we can go out more often. So we are still trying to catch the crabs. What kind of bait do you use to catch crabs?
Absolutely love the ideas youre sharing! Were also working on a major refit of our 65' power catamaran, and its inspiring to see others taking on similar projects. Keep the updates coming!
Hello from Ireland again, Matt. What a Treat, on a Sunday evening, lol. God, those old engines look so complicated to me, it's a good job, they have you around, a proper expert lol. We love your videos buddy. Keep up the brilliant work, Guys. 🙏🥰👏👏👏👏👏👏
My first employment after getting out of Comunity college was repairing DD71 and DD53 engines. Decades ago. I still have the specific socket used to secure the jumper fuel lines over the top of the rockers. Haven't had use of it for 45 or 46 years. Worked on a V16 71series. 2 v8 blocks bolted end to end. Fun. I remember chipping the built up "coke" out of the exhaust passages in heads. SUBBED.
I agree. It's nice for those guys to get to enjoy the boats and some team building instead of always just crawling around in super hot, cramped places working on them.
Hey Matt, you are tripping my memories again. I used to live on Sigsbee and the shot looking straight back as you were motoring away from the island at the cell tower was my backyard !! Short story about the one and only sailfish I caught in two years of fishing around the keys. My dad was base commander of the Air Force detachment on Boca Chica key and the government kept a deep sea fishing boat there for the "dignitaries" to go fishing while they were assessing the base.....yea right, anyway I was out with them one day and I hooked a sailfish and started to bring him in and my dad took the pole from me and gave it to some bigwig to bring it in and get the glory ! Kind of pissed me off but he did tell me next one I hooked would be mine. I was all of 12 yrs old and probably couldn't have got it reeled in..and never hooked another one. After watching you struggling with yours, glad one of the youngsters didn't take your pole !!!😊
Matt you should always flush engine when hot when you first get out keeps the salt from crystallizing overnight. It’s about time you took a day. Sucks about sail would of liked to see you land
When boating a bill fish two persons one on each side of the bill and pull in together. Never just one person. Years ago a deckhand was stabbed in the abdomen pulling a sailfish through the transom door by himself. He survived. The charter was out of Boca Raton.
I like to freeze the cutlass bearing before installing them, makes them slide in much easier. Sometimes a couple shots of ether in the air intake helps those diesels after sitting so long.
Poor boy ain't got a chance competing with the wife. She wants a bigger boat and she's gonna get it even if it's pink. Guess y'all better make a run up to the boat show so you can drool over your wants and needs 😂😂😂
I believe that was the sound of a F-18 lol 😂 and I can't wait to do some fishing myself here soon but this thing called snow and ice and cold kinda puts a pause on that lol
@WillFixThat well I'm hoping here in 2 months I can get my boat serviced and figure out why I can't get to full speed on it so I can go fishing with my dad in June when my parents come and visit from Minnesota lol
Do your alternators on your engines need algorithm changed with different type batteries, Lead acid/agm/lithium. Some require lower voltage and current rates.
Another good video as always! I have a carver 2667 and I keep in the water year round in its slip, question- I’m fresh water cooled but salt water cools my exhaust as you know. How/when should I use salt away? Any tricks for when it’s in the water ? Thanks !!!
curious about the 225... those get to be pretty heavy. the 200 yamaha's are just a 4 cyl, easy to fix/maintain. either way hope it works out well! I'd just keep the whaler unless yall like going out far.... then maybe look into something with twin's. (hear good things about grady whites) side note- if u do look into everglades, they have a hull vent/ blower thats notorious for being inaccessible/unserviceable to fix
Another great video , we love watching them …. Plus it’s very easy to see what genuinely really nice people you all are !! We are here in western New York. We have friends that live 2/3 of the year in Key West ( Mike and Kathy) and their son has a fishing charter there. “Off The Rocks “. Just wondering if you know them. Ps. Bigger fishing boat always better. lol
What do I think? Well let me ask, do you want to fish or work on boats (you now have two). Looks to me you’re now set up to take a break with as little as of half a day available to you. If you two are able to get on the water once a week through May 2025, your prospective on just about everything will surprise you. Good luck with everything. Thanks for sharing your life.
Yes, they do. Go to video factory tour. RAMCAP is the only hull construction process that utilizes a pre-molded high-density foam core that fits precisely between an Everglades hull and liner. Unsinkable and great ride!
@@RickHornsby-ry5grok this is Karriann I will let him know. We will have to research Everglade boats. Plus we need to get rid of a boat first before buying another one.
What are you thinking if the wife says to buy a Yellowfin you should already be shopping. The wife is right go Yellowfin they are a complete level or even 2 above Whaler. Much better sea boat as well.
Nah I’m not always right! When the time comes looking for a boat that keeps its value and is still desirable a few years later. We need to use the whaler first.

We use chicken and bunker, I believe you call bunker pogies down there

Sounds like a lot of work! 🤣
@WillFixThat hahaaaa it is but isn't always:) and it will be worth it! Thanks for following our journey! 🔥❤️🔥
Always look forward to 9am on Sunday mornings!! Love the show
Appreciate you watching us I know you’ve watched us for a long while. 👍
Great to see the crew on The boat having some fun fishing.
We did have to get back to work when we got back. We had calls scheduled in the afternoon. They had fun.

Definitely enjoy the Whaler first!!! Time will tell if you require a Head in the vessel!!! Bigger isn’t always better she said 😂
We had a head and took it out in our first whaler video. We aren’t cleaning a head 🤣 yes we need to make sure we are going to use the boat.
I'm happy to see you take a break on your boat. I use the same cleanup process for my boat.
Thanks! We all need a break sometimes.
I know those jobs are a lot harder than you make them look. Can only show so much on video. You do great work.
Very hard work …. But we try to have a little fun and give each other a hard time in between.
I agree. It's nice for those guys to get to enjoy the boats and some team building instead of always just crawling around in super hot, cramped places working on them.
Enjoy your videos so much!
Thank you both and your entire team.
And yes that is the sound of Freedom! 🇺🇸
Thank you so much for watching.

Wow what a story! That would have been exciting as a young boy.
Great video and see the boat running! Take a look at the Edgewater boat.
Looking for a boat that keeps its value and is desirable a few years later.
Love your videos and watching them from Fort Myers 🥰
Keep up the excellent work and enjoy your free time together as a Team 👍💪
Thanks Tom you’re just up the road a couple hours away
Thank you for the great content
Have an excellent week ahead, stay safe everyone.
Kev
Thanks for watching Kevin 😊
Finally nice weather here great video
It’s still so windy here not worth getting beat up.
Get the yellowfin. Or look at a Cape Horn. A no frills yellowfin battle wagon
We shall see how much we use this whaler first.
Any commercial truck parts/dealer would have that bolt. Commonly known in trucking/construction as a "cat" bolt
Wish I was with you Guys! Looks great!
They had fun!
Matt you should always flush engine when hot when you first get out keeps the salt from crystallizing overnight. It’s about time you took a day. Sucks about sail would of liked to see you land
Yes you’re right we just got back and had to get to calls that day. Sail would have been nice. 😊 next time.

Thanks for the tip agree they are dangerous with those bills.

We freeze cutlass bearings too when they are hard to get in.

We just went to the one up the keys last week. We went to introduce ourselves to life by the bow and dinner with a friend.
Nice youre boat and the fishing👍
Thanks for coming along.
And those cylinder holes you call them those hands. They also worked really good for rebuilding great calibers
I believe that was the sound of a F-18 lol 😂 and I can't wait to do some fishing myself here soon but this thing called snow and ice and cold kinda puts a pause on that lol
We’ve been paused by life and wind. Any day now we can go but the next week looks windy.

19’ gets really small quickly when the storms kick up. Get a 30’+, you won’t regret it.
We shall see first we need to make sure we are going to use the whaler. We have great intentions of using it when the winds get better.

Have you tried placing the cutlass bearing in the freezer overnight, it reduces the OD by a few thou.
Yes helps them go in easier great tip for others to read.
B. Bust

A. Another
T. Thousand
We say TEN
😂keep the lady happy get the yellowfin..&.go deep drop fishing
We want to buy a boat that is desirable and won’t lose as much value… what you think?
Love Yellowfin boats! That would be my first choice. 😀
When the time comes looking for a boat that keeps its value and is still desirable a few years later. We need to use the whaler first.
All I need is Flares for my new used boat😂😂😂😂
Wooohoooo finally fishing!
New Saturday and Sunday rates: Double time pricing, no exceptions.
Yup only needed flares he won’t live that down 🤣 we rarely work on boats on the weekends. We and our guys need a rest.

Yes our plan is to try and get on the water more to fish and have fun. Relax and enjoy life and we get to bring you with us.
finally on the water yessss, must be happy ya
Finally is right… more real soon. Just waiting for the wind to die down.
@@WillFixThat what ever you do, go and have some fun, you work hard son, you deserve it
Definitely Yellowfin
Does it keep its value and how desirable is it a few years later?
Those dumb senders don't go all the way to the bottom.
We need way more fishing videos..
You got it! We will make sure we get some of those up soon. Just waiting for the wind to lay down.
That’s y way that call it fishing not catching
Exactly fish got to live another day. Would have released it anyways.
Stay with the 19ft
We will see …. Need to start using it a lot before something else.
Good morning
Morning fatcat.
So is the tug running?
Yup it’s out of here.
Regulator ...
Thanks 👍
Everglade boats.

Matt, there's a used 2007 Everglades 240cc on boat trader in summer keys Fl for sale. You may want to take a look at it.
Sorry, Summerland Key Fl

Definitely if all of us go or we take both boats.

@@mwrcrftwe pulled the head out of our whaler. Use bucket and take your crap with you 😂 Matt would kill me if we had to clean a head.
Just get a third boat. I think at that point you can officially start putting hull numbers on the registration and identify as your own Navy.
We won’t get a third boat until we get rid of one or both.

Yes we’ve been using legs last week someone said cat food.
