Scientists have no explanation to creation other than big bang. God said let there be light and there was light spoken into existence in this physical realm like a big bang. Bible also tells us that this flesh tent we live in is an avatar to our spirit and soul. Unfortunately this world is fallen and the creation is groaning because of the sin that inherently creeped into all physical creation as result of the first humans disobedience. From the spirit realm Father God created a body free of sin for his Son Jesus Christ and sent him into the physical realm through the birth canal of woman. He walked this earth told us there’s a heavenly kingdom for our spirits to inherit after this flesh avatar dies. We killed him for that but those who believe what he said will inherit that kingdom. Pretty cool.

How would you prove robot has consciousness using empirical data. How do you prove to blind man what color red is using empirical data. In theory, robot can be programmed to move its hand when it touches hot surface. How do I know its having the experience of hot using test tube(Deduction/induction). The only thing i am certain of is that i have experience of hot. This experience can only come from entity that can already experience existence (Allah-one/indivisible/self-sufficient/unique/All-Loving infinite perfection).
If you cannot prove your own consciousness using “scientific method”, then how can you reject the existence of Perfect/infinite metaphysical being(Allah)? “Cogito ergo sum”( I think therefore I am) should be read as “cogito ergo est”(I think therefore Allah is).

A simulation implies that the human experience coexists outside of the "simulation." The simulation would then by definition be simulating a subset of the behavior of the people who made it. So, in other words, the simulation is a recreation of the species that created us, and is limited to some subset of behaviors that the creators exhibit. This then implies that humans lack some fundamental characteristic of the simulators. The most probable lacked characteristic is the ability to break through the simulation or exit it. If we assume WLOG and coherence of ability, this inability to "break through the simulation" is due to some "bound." The bound in my opinion is the bound on time and space. Thus it takes too much "time" and there is too much "space" to break out of the simulation. Because of entropy, errors do indeed happen within both our simulation and base reality, which then also means that time and space aren't closed systems.
TL;DR: We live in a simulation of either more simulations, or more universes.

You are assuming that on a limited understanding of consciousness. The act of observing changing factors in the universe becomes very relevant. It could be that we are one with the “creators” of the simulation. Or we are existence itself and identity becomes multimodal. All of this is of course conjecture. And if we have no capacity to understand due to our “simulated” nature, then this simulation reasoning may not even suffice we would need a greater concept than reasoning itself that led to our current “simulation”.
This is my problem with simulation theory. Just because something exists doesn’t mean human like beings had to create it (especially with intention to understand as Elon Assumes). The logic and design of things can be beyond comprehension. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t connected to greater parts of ourselves and the universe, nor are we incapable of expanding our connection, awareness, and unawareness.
Since consciousness seems to be everyone’s gateway to this universe, it seems logical to seek to expand this and unlock the other multimodal natures within themselves because they likely exist, to gain greater understanding or, in lieu of understanding, a greater essence.

    • @vladusa
      @vladusa 10 месяцев назад +2

@@baileystark7629 I love proving that humans are the most sentient/conscious and most capable given reality's "rules." There's a popular experiment involving stimulation of neurons in a petri dish. Scientists noticed that the stimulation of neurons invoked pain, one distinctive factor of consciousness. This "pain" stimulation would cause the neurons to work faster, and electrical signaling speed increased. From this, we can generalize the idea of neural size and efficacy: the beings with the most neurons and efficacy are the most powerful. Humans top both of these, which point us towards harder questions like: what are the attributes of efficacy that we lack? One of those may be efficacy of physical travel (e.g. breaking out of the "simulation" or bounds of reality). One may also be which sentient being has more neurons and more efficacy than us? Because neither question has clear answers, we can deduce that either a) beings exist that have more ability than us or b) we are the most capable beings. b) couldn't work, because then we'd know why reality exists. If we follow a), we can begin to investigate the true nature of the universe itself. TL;DR: If you can prove that some set is itself a subset of every set, you can then deduce that humans' capabilities are a subset of some more capable being.

It is the case and God is real. By God,i mean 'Jesus'. What is the real definition of God? " God is a supreme being, creator of all things we know exists and is all mighty,as sometimes we Christians call him all-mighty God." Looking everything around us on earth and in the universe,it's obvious that it's not the aftermath of just random coincidence but the fruits of God. If we dig into the concept of a creator taking example on us human beings who are passionate about making stuff like cars, airplanes(not creating) and do everything to make our lives better, improve our health and so on,so was God purpose if we look at the universe where everything is where it should be without having planets colliding at each other and so many little things to consider(I would say endless details). The characteristics of a real God is one who is all-knowing,all powerful and all present. God(we talking about God the Father,Jesus and the Holy Spirit aka the Trinity) meets all of this. A real God is the one who can make the impossible to us become possible. God in the Bible shared many events to come in the last days or near future to his prophets in the Bible and if you do some research, you'll see that it's true and some scientists even agree to this. So many events in the Bible like Sodome and Gomorrah where God brings down fire from heaven to the city and destroy it is real and scientists have found similar site that fits perfectly. The human being himself is proof of God's existence. I respect all the religions in this world and their choice as God gave us free will but their is only one God that rules the entire universe and the things beyond our comprehension. If we were ruled by many God's,there should be uproar and fights. That leads us to Lucifer, now Satan who wanted to replace God and be in his place, the one who was cast out of heaven and tempted Adam and Eve to ate the forbidden, which has resulted the world we are in right now. And then, there's Jesus and he comes as the lamb, the perfect sacrifice for our sin in order for us by salvation to access eternal life. I can go on and on but God wants us to repent from our sins, accept that we do things wrongly and that we need him by our side in order to choose the correct patterns and two of the most crucial,to love him like he loves us and built a strong relationship with him. It's all up to us now.

So god himself must be insignificant compared to whoever created god. But then you can keep applying the same logic forever: the creator of god can't just be random; HE must have been created too. So eventually, don't you have to get to the level where one of the creators IS just the way the universe is, and there's no further explanation? He designs and execute storylines which gives context for Him to manifest good meanings, He manifest himself by radiating meanings from the abstract realm. Our job is to navigate these meanings towards Him. We are at our core a self who doesn't know himself, in other words have forgotten himself, and by figuring out who we really are, through navigation of this hierarchy of meanings towards ultimate good, step by step we dismantle this illusion of individual self that we assume for our self, and we merge with the Supreme Self, becoming an observer of Him, a mere observer in background.

I disagree that the reason higher beings would hold a simulation is to see what happens - just because we lower beings use simulations to see what happens doesn't mean that higher beings would do it for the same reason. Maybe they do it for entertainment. Maybe they do it for some reason that we will never understand because we are lower level beings. And that gets me thinking that if we are beings then we are not a simulation - we can't be both. I personally don't care what the answer is, not because I'm ignorant, but because I'm aware that spending too much of my limited life energy on contemplating things like this only takes away from doing more important things like spending time with family and friends, providing as much comfort to others as I can, etc. An analogy is I could spend my life figuring out how to get to Mars, an exceptionally inhospitable place and something that can't be scaled beyond a handful of people, or I could spend my life improving life on earth for myself and others.

Love the question, Elon here says "If we're in a simulation, the reason would be because the creators would want to see what happens - they don't know what happens." As someone who KNOWS God exists, as most people who know ANYTHING about chemistry and physics should unanimously agree with due to the sheer infinite amount of detail and design in the fabric of reality, I'd expand a little on that and say that WHAT the creators want to see, is whether each one of us as individuals is capable of choosing God and God's love and holiness over evil, anger and all the qualities that accompany evil. The singular thing we all have in common, even if you're an uncontacted tribe, is that every single one of us will be constantly exposed to both pure evil and absolute holiness, love and selflessness. We each have a short amount of time to align with one, or the other. God gives us very detailed instructions on how to go about this, and every single last instruction still holds up perfectly well today. God bless anyone reading this, you will find God if you haven't yet, in your own time. God is in fact the only purpose we have here, everything else we focus our energy on is a distraction and ultimately has no meaning.

I've been searching for some kind of understanding of it all my whole life and basically all the answers point into this direction - from spiritual teachings and experiences, to psychedelic induced states and near death experiences - all basically point to this one thing - that we are god itself (or whatever you wanna call it), this field of consciousness being separated into different bodies (but only separate on the surface), basically role-playing our lives - usually for the purpose to experience and understand things like love, fear, happiness and sadness - and the entire spectrum of human experience.
It's more of a video game than a simulation. A dream is probably the best analogy - especially the fact that we all dream every night (more or less) and it's kinda poetic to think that the whole thing is hinted at us every night when we go to sleep.
I just hope that there will be some kind of "aha" moment when we reach the end - the idea that there is nothingness after death is too depressing for me. And from reading many near death experiences, so far it seems like this is all a part of something bigger and more beautiful than we can ever imagine with our human brains.
I guess we shall all see at the end (or we won't ^^)

I really liked those ideas when I was a student. Existentialism, all this cool kids stuff.
In 1989, in broad daylight, fully awake, no drugs, no alcohol, nothing... there's suddenly God right next to me. Like 3-4 meters from me. Telepathic transmission, directly to my mind, no sound. I would say face to face, but there's no face, it's an energy field. Yet, in your mind's eye you can clearly see it like a pillar of smoke. Not exactly like smoke but this comparison is close enough.
Scares the shit out of me because the energy field is insanely absurdly powerful. It's prolly something you would feel if you would be teleported to the centre of the Milky Way, in the middle of the central cluster of all those massive stars and black holes.
I go instantly in panic, I'm certain I will burn to crisp, I'm trying to run but can't figure out where... and then I realize, wait, I'm still alive, and there's no pain. I'm confused about that but I calm down a little, I can think again -- and then this being speaks.
Anyway, that's not the important part. Something happens with reality.
Suppose you try to doubt the reality of everything. What's the last thing you would doubt? That you yourself are real, right? Anything else is really easy to have doubts about if they're real or not, you yourself, that's kinda hard.
When I stood there this centre of what's real, the focus point shifted from me to this being who stands in front of me. I can't logically explain any of it but at this moment I could doubt I exist no problem, but it was absolutely impossible to doubt this thing was real. It became the centre of reality, literally.
If someone would have told me this moment that I'm just a dream of this "pillar of smoke" in front of me, I would have totally believed it.
After that I lost interest in those oriental ideas. Doesn't compute. Yes it's a dream and we're one... but the orient got it backwards -- my experience tells me it's not us who's doing the dreaming.

Maybe the answer to the question instead of a binary "yes" or "no", it may be the entire continuum between the yes or no. Can a human understand what is a continuum of yes and no? The closest word to that might be "to be". So "to be" gives a glimpse to the answer for the Mystery but also captures the essence of human experience. Meaning is merely the human justification for that experience.

What if, the essence of matter being causality, whatever system beyond cause and effect would require it to essentially ‘play out’ its contradictions

Determinism and being in a simulation aren’t mutually exclusive. Just because you don’t know what will happen in the simulation doesn’t mean there are unlimited outcomes. The parameters are set beforehand and therefore it will only play out as it was programmed to play out. You don’t say that the rocket in your simulation has free will, it’s simply reacting to the parameters you’ve set.
Just because you don’t know what will happen doesn’t mean the variables and parameters you’ve set have agency.

And even if their motive is exactly tied around learning, that does not by itself exclude the possibility of determinism.
We give different models plenty of initial characteristics and run them to see what comes out of it - that doesn't mean that these models have volition within them just because we are oblivious of their end state.
Do his rockets move voluntary just because SpaceX engineers don't know how they might react within a simulation?
The more Musk is putting himself under the spotlight, the more we discover holes in his reasoning, and how he retains confidence despite of them. It gives us a picture of how great minds can be equally insufficient when thinking about certain topics.

@@MikeDonaldson-eh2ru I know what determinism is.
I don't think you and I are too far off from each other. As of now I don't hold with any great conviction that just because we cannot predict things at the quantum level that things are probabilistic and not deterministic. For me, I'm not sure if we have the right answer there. Maybe it is probabilistic or maybe we just haven't got deep enough to understand what's happening at that level. I'm still on the fence. Is it probabilistic (which doesn't offer free will, it only offers probability) or do we just not understand something.
Also, just because something is probabilistic at the quantum level, that doesn't mean things are probabilistic at the macro level. The motion of the moon is very deterministic, along with the tides, ext. It could be true that things are probabilistic at the quantum level, but that goes away at the macro level. This might explain why we don't see the moon in one place and then it jumps to another place.
Regardless, I see three option and one doesn't work. Free will exists. We can make free choices. This is obviously not true. Or, we are completely deterministic. Or we are probabilistic. I find deterministic more likely than probabilistic. I'm generally the same person from day to day. I consistently don't like cooked spinach. As of right now, there doesn't seem to be a probability that one morning I will like cooked spinach.
Probability at the quantum level doesn't get us free will. At best it gets us randomness. But then we need to explain the consistency of the macro level.

I've always had issue with the argument that existence of probability on the quantum level somehow should convince everyone that we have free will.
And it is perfectly reasonable to assume that what we deem random on the quantum level is in fact deterministically organized, albeit unbeknownst to our current level of understanding.
There was a quote in an article on free will that perfectly summarizes your argument
"It’s simply a matter of recognizing distinct domains of knowledge - of accepting that at certain levels of reductionism, some explanatory power vanishes while some is newly acquired".

If you could sculpt statues like a great sculptor, you would carve great sculptures.
If you could create a universe, you would create a universe.

The human behavior that is one of the effects of the pangs of existence, belief. A search for meaning and self.
Let's consider two individuals. It doesn't matter who they are. Let one be a Muslim, and the other a Christian or Buddhist, or someone who worships the sky. The Muslim says, "The most accurate belief is my belief." They don't doubt and don't question. They don't question because they don't doubt. They don't doubt because they consider their belief entirely correct. Therefore, they don't research their belief or other beliefs. They have complete faith in their belief. The person who worships the sky under the same conditions also says, "The most accurate belief is mine." They don't doubt or question. The conditions are the same.
    So, which one is correct?
In the estimated 4.5 billion years of human existence from the beginning until now, thousands of religions have formed and continue to form. In the books of the most well-known Abrahamic religions, the world is said to be 7,000 years old (in some places). Of course, I don't know how this time is calculated, what kind of calendar is used, or based on what criteria.
How can you be sure that your belief is the correct one among all these religions? How logical and accurate is such a radically accepted belief?
How can you convince yourself that the belief you grew up with is the most correct, especially when you don't know other religions properly and haven't even researched, read, or learned about your own belief? Are you lucky because you grew up in a Muslim family, and was it unfortunate for someone growing up in a family with a different belief? Why should you be considered lucky, and what makes you special? Why prophets from a specific geography, why not Iceland?
The unknown is one of the most frightening things. That's why we prefer to believe. This way, we can use our beliefs for the unknown aspects and soothe our hearts. I say we can soothe our hearts because no one imagines something bad (hell) for themselves. Every believer imagines good (heaven) for themselves and their loved ones.
When you believe, you don't think, you don't question. You surrender your consciousness to your beliefs. There are no mental pangs because your ready-made belief guides you. Moreover, you become complacent. You endure your pains and troubles, saying it's okay. You consider the difficulties you face as atonement for your sins and imagine that you will be rewarded with paradise for enduring them. That's why religion has been called the opium of the masses.

The assumption of a creator does not get us any further. The universe can exist forever. We have to understand and accept three difficult concepts: the concept of time and space infinity, the concept of objective randomness and the fact that the "Nothing" does not exist, cannot exist. All of these go against our experience, but they exist in my opinion. We cannot understand infinity, objective randomness, the impossibility of nothing, but they can explain everything. If there is infinite time available, basically anything can happen... even something that has zero probability. If "nothing" is not quite nothing, then sometime, somewhere, something can happen, which, if summed up, can something actuate. The condition for infinite existence is "wave motion", or more precisely, the wave-like behavior of the universe, through negative feedback. That is, an explosion is followed by a contraction, then another explosion without end and so on. I can imagine such a universe.

Other religions, Islam for example, doesn’t allow this.
