It’s an amazing machine!
How does it climb? We have some rides that start with an extended climb before we get to the goods. I know it's not an XC race bike, but reaching down to that climb switch looks nearly impossible on the fly.

Late to the party. Sweet review, thank you. Did you feel that the Megatower was "too much bike" for blue and green trails? It looks pretty fun to me on your terrain.
For blue green I would probably get a yeti SB115

I’m considering getting an SB130 like yours. Concerned about a creaking bottom bracket after spending so much money. How is your experience? Would like to get in touch with you as I live in San Antonio but new to the mountain bike world.
dude I have never had a creak in my bottom bracket and I have never cleaned it for over 6 months and have over 500 miles on it

Mine squeaks around the suspension... I cleaned it, olued it, but it still makes an unpleasant noise when it's moving
That’s weird bro, never heard of suspension squeaking
@@MTBdropIN I'm not sure what it is that's making those sounds... Its somewhere around the suspension area, but because the frame is carbon, the sound is kind of amplified by it, so it's hard to tell exactly where its coming from.
How does the megatower handle in Texas with no major elevation?
There is plenty of hellish chunk to climb in Texas .... honestly I would be fine with it but I do like my bikes to lean towards comfortable climbing , the Megatower barely passed

I built parkwood in 2015, shame to see how degraded it’s become.
What the heck parkwood is completely revitalized and built up now, it’s even crazy better then even in this video too, parkwood in the next 3 to 6 months will be without question the best place to ride I San Antonio, I just took a few guys there this last weekend and they said that on there own. There is a big group of guys that are humble and passionate that are taking parkwood beyond anything that’s ever happened in San Antonio , I’m so excited
MTBdropIN uh-no it’s actually far from. Those tables used to be about 2 feet taller, the big berm came up to your waist, the lower line berm was past your knees and solid, the line was dirted from top to bottom and was clean. I know the guys that are building out there, and if anyone can get it back to what it was or better, they can for sure . You must not have been in SA that long if you think PW is the best place to ride too. There are better places, ask around, maybe they’ll let you in on them.
All the new features are too big and built poorly. Them cutting down trees is going to make the city really mad when they find out

great video man!I dont really like santa cruz as a brand because its way to expensive for no reason, you pay so much for nothing.Maybe the geometry is a tiny bit better than most of the bikes but I tried the yt jeffsy and a megatower back to back the same day.Those bikes are like the same trust me, but the jeffsy is way cheaper and you get the same bike for a much better price!
The thing about Santa Cruz is that there lifetime warranty is top notch, while other companies claim to have a life time warranty they will screw you in the end. When you buy Santa Cruz you know if crap goes down, they got your back and will replace it for you.
MARKO I have to disagree, I Have ridden both of those bikes and the ride feel is night and day from each other. Lifetime warranty, amazing suspension design. You get a free set of bearings each year as well to keep your bike fresh. I may be partial to sc since I work at a shop that sells them. YT doesn’t support local , they aren’t Infact trying to cut bike shops out of the equation is seems with their direct to consumer sales.
Also, look at the resale value of each

I go back to the beginning and I was a partner Chanel back in the day too before Adsense and how ever the hell they are doing it now... sending it is a lot more air then you guys were tossing out on them 6k builds... you could have done the same on a $900 hardtail LOL
Put a Push 11.6 on the Megatower. That is one of the best shock´s for this bike.
