Well it's because most of the time people just get 4 wheel drive just because it sounds cool. Probably on 2 percent of buyers actually use 4 wheel drive
@@rememberthefallen1970 I disagree. Up north 4X4 isn’t just a off road thing. Winter comes and you will need 4wd a dozen times in 3 months. And due to that nobody wants a 2wd model north of Cincinnati.
@@blessedheart3917 I guess it’s subjective. Unless you’re off-roading or driving out to the middle of a farmer’s field, I can’t imagine when you’d use it.

I agree, you don't need a HD truck for light duty work and there are plenty of sacrifices in ride quality and mpg but if you need it, they're incredible. I have the Ram 3500 dually and it's excellent for what it is. I would consider the Ford Super Duty as well.

Was gonna say pretty much the same thing. He has no idea what truck stuff really is. Probably parks his prius in the diesel lane and can't figure out why we flip him off.

If it's just your driveway get a cheap beater, if it's commercial use go for an Ford super duty with a gas engine. The front ends hold up better to the abuse from a plow and a diesel is unnecessary, the gas engine also does better in cold weather. Get a 2011+ for the locking rear differential which locks the two Axel shafts together to improve traction. I don't believe the ram offers that and the Chevy/GMC independent front suspension won't hold up as well.

Coldfireice8044 2015+, ford has a fully boxed frame. That test is no longer valid and yet it continued to beat the competition. This 2500 sure is nice but 80k dollars for a depreciating asset is beyond stupid unless you can throw down cash money. Mist will finance this for 1300 bucks for the next 8-10 years 🤮
nathan3306 I mean 80k for a Ford is even stupider. Every vehicle is a depreciating asset so your argument there isn’t really that valid. Also to be fair trucks depreciate FARR less then cars do. Also, most guys who do buy these trucks buy them for 8-10 years, and a Cummins will go even further.
For the person that wants to take their living room with them - gorgeous.
That made me lol. So true.

The fact that he doesn’t recommend four wheel drive but the Sun roof instead makes me think he has never used a truck in any type of work environment.

Don’t order four-wheel-drive on a pick up truck but order the sunroof and touchscreen? That is what’s wrong with people today
Well if you’re getting it mainly for towing heavy loads it does lessen payload. But I’m with you if you’re anywhere with weather you’ll want that 4x4.
Why? Some of us have no desire to pay $4000 for something we’ll never use and that just makes the truck heavier at the front.
