i feed about a dozen ferals that lives in my property. there's a cat that took me 3.5yrs before it softened up & allowed me to pet it, now she's one of the most affectionate cat. patience, consistency & lots of food along the way
I have a stray cat in my neighborhood that I feed too. She comes up to me now and she’ll let me pet her but if you make any sudden moves she’ll walk off. It’s almost like she kinda trusts me then again she doesn’t.

They're not angry, they're scared, they think you want to hurt them.
A scared cat wouldnt approch him, not even food works if the cat is scared, they will flee and hide from you and not let you close, and if cornered then they will acually attack.
Also title is click-bait, he knows the cat isnt really angry, the "bites" are just gray cat saying "HEY DAFUQ DUDE?" cos he isnt used to getting petted xD You know cos his hand only gets slapped and nibbled, not shreaded :P

That's not how you get them to behave. You send a decoy hand straight to his face (like what you're doing), but your other hand should be hovering over him while he's distracted. Then your sneaky hand should just pet his head all the way to his back. And then it's a wrap
They can bite through all seven layers of skin if really angry

After seeing your angry white cat video and several other videos of angry white cats here on youtube, I googled white cat behaviour - I had wondered that since many if not most white cats are deaf, maybe they are overly sensitive to other stimulation, ie visual.....or being stroked etc. I havent read much so far, but this one particular articles suggests that there does seem to be a correlation between coat colour and aggression levels, with white, orange and, as shown in this video, gray female cats, tending to be more aggressive than other colours, but clarifies that correlation does not necessarily mean causation.

he lloks just like my gray kitty kat that I took in as a stray early last year. he used to act much the same way which leads me to think he was abused badly too. he would hiss at me whenever I approached and slink away. but after many months of loving care he no longer hisses and lets me pet him and scratch his throat.
