@@lauraJP76 Yes ma'am, we're having a spring gift day for Krissy's grandson, who lives with us.
He doesn't really have any friends, his mother is down in Florida somewhere, and he's never met his biological father, so we try to make the most out of Easter/spring, Halloween/autumn, 4th of July/summer, etc.
Just try to cheer him up a little, you know?

I'm so sorry u lost ur mom, and ur right about this story making u emotional because I lost my mom to cancer a few years back so I was over her crying. She wasn't always kind to me but we made amends and when she was slipping away each day, she only wanted me to take care of her because she said that I treated her exactly like how she should've always treated me? I hope ur feeling a as good as u can possibly feel? It doesn't get easier, u just learn how to cope better truth be told.

What an awesome story. I unfortunately know what it's like to pass the young age of a deceased parent, it's a sobering and reflective experience. For myself it made me understand for the first time that there was a person before the parent. That simple sentence in no way conveys the depth of the understanding. I have thought many times over the years of making recordings like these. Especially as I know just how quickly your world can change . This is perhaps the reminder I needed to get my ass into gear and make some videos, just to be on the safe side! Thank you for this, Stephen most sincerly, Thank you . Cheers, Lee.

This one reminds me a bit of the "Ignore the Earwig" (which I definitely recommend looking up because DAMN that one's a good read, that and An Empty Prison are still my two favorite creepypastas I've ever read) creepypasta in the way that it's conclusion sets up that by being made aware of the monster you're now potentially a target for it. There's something uniquely terrifying about stories like that, it's almost like breaking the 4th wall and it has the effect of making the threat of the monster in the story feel more real and personal and it sticks with you longer as a result. It's kinda interesting because it's such an effective tactic but you don't see it used as often as you'd expect.
I think the fact that it isn't used that often really is also part of why it's so effective because you don't get desensitized to it as much as the usual creepypasta format. It's way too easy for writers to default to "OP encounters eldritch abomination and then writes about their encounter on Reddit" (actually it's more often this but substitute "encounters" with "damn near gets killed by") when writing a creepypasta and it's not that I don't enjoy seeing some of the monsters we're capable of inventing, it just stops being scary after you listen to enough of those stories haha, when the eldritch abomination is made to be a threat to the reader it kinda feels a bit more ominous, that's all I'm saying.

To the guy in the story. Hey, no worries. I think my family already has something like that. Not exactly the same, but similar. So much misfortune, but we just don't die... Not ripe enough yet I guess.

If you put the 80s(?) Goosebumps intro at the beginning of the video, you could convince those audio listeners that these are from the goosebumps franchise.
