So... Is Blackness talking with slang? Being uneducated? Why must this Black man put on the black-face? What Rob Parker said was none of that. What is Blackness?
when did he say talk with slang? or being uneducated? Do you think rob got to that position in the first place being like that. Your CTE side effects was showing 5 years ago, i pray your doing better
Gotta love tv black dude says something about another black dude let's get thoughts from a random black dude on the situation to speak on behalf of a whole race
I remember watching this live, and will never forget the absolute look of stunned astonishment on Stephen A. Smiths face after Parkers obviously idiotic comment.
That's Marxist zii09nist no education. Like the anti tesla and marconi shit universities of that's not science then convex vectors are not a plane the that's protocols engineering not working out well junk science
I don't disagree with Rob Parker getiing suspended. When you're an employee at an organization such as ESPN you have to choose your words wisely. I do agree with the primace of Rob's point though. Although alot of black root for RGIII, most of them do look at him as a cornball. I'm not saying it's right; I'm just stating the facts. This "is" discussed in countless barbershops.
I honestly think RG3 is simply saying.. HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE DEFINED AS BLACK. He wants to be known as a quarterback. An athlete. A PERSON. No one talks about Tom Brady As a "white" quarterback. He's just a quarterback. And the same for every other white quarterback in the league. And I'm sure that's all griffin meant.
As a black man these talks to do go on... I understand completely what rob Parker is talking about... if your a black man and you can’t at least admit that these talks go on then idk what to tell you..
Ephraim went super defensive he could have just made his point without throwing the other black dude under the bus, what parker said could be seen as slightly racial - the white presenter was being more sympathetic to parker
Sadly there are so many black people that think this way that are among us. The worst kind of racism is from your own people. Tribalism is never a reason to cast out another black person.
Rob Parker: “Players don’t understand the years of school and the hard work we have to go through to get to this position” Also Rob Parker: “do you wish your daughter married a better defense coordinator?”
My first time learning of this. I had to search articles and videos after watching The Breakfast Club. I'm confused how this guy called for Rob to be fired, crowned him, and now makes guest appearances on the Odd Couple. There was no falling out between the two after this? Wow
Rob Parker has now been fired from ESPN because of remarks made about Robert Griffin III that were racist in nature. It doesn't matter whether you're black, white, Arab. Chinese, or a green Martian, it just isn't right to make racist comments, especially on the airwaves. ESPN made the right move in getting rid of him.
I remember Rob Parker making those comments. I don't remember him personally attacking RG3, I thought he was saying how some black people stereotype their others within their own race for being different in positive ways. Some people say Russell Wilson is looked at that way as well. I know what it feels like to go through that and it is hurtful, more so when it comes from people you talked to on a personal level. Only reason I disagree with Ephraim is because he's trying to speak on behalf of others. If conversations like that happen in some barber shops then Ephraim would only know about select few. ESPN questioned the blackness of Tiger Woods because he didn't criticize Donald Trump.
i'm disgusted with the way Ephraim Salaam handled this. Gottlieb had legitimate points and Salaam would not let him finish. he interrupted him right before he was about to make a real point. what rob parker said may have been politically incorrect, but people need to hear it and not be ignorant to the real world.
Rush Limbaugh was dismissed from ESPN back in 2003 for comments he made about then Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, saying the media and other folks were rooting for him to succeed because he's black. He should have kept his mouth shut. I liked McNabb as a quarterback, and it had nothing to do with the color of his skin. My aunt was a big fan of McNabb and felt he got a raw deal, first by being traded to Washington, then by the way Washington and Minnesota treated him later on.
I agree, No one should be able to tell you that you are not black enough. However, We live in a world where people are going to judge you no matter what. Rob Parker gets paid to give his opinion. That's all he was doing. He never said that he thought RG3 was not black enough. He simply was shedding light on how lots of people feel. I've been in enough black barbershops to know nothing is off limits. I guess Rob just forgot where he was, lol.
Not to pull away from the good point you made; ESPN didn't actually fire Parker, his contract was up at the end of December 2012 and they opted not to renew it. Some people are pissed b/c ESPN didn't strong arm Parker to resign the way they did with Rush Limbaugh for making racists comments about McNabb.
yea but HE didnt re enforce the fact that it wasnt him that said it, he acted like he was part of the discussion and that he actually AGREED with what was being said in the barbershop!. . u see what im saying
Lol looking back it's crazy how rob was stereotyping the he'll out of RG3 lol....he speaks well so he a cornball but he rocks braids and that's urban 🤣🤣🤣. This nigga was really on one that day
See? That's what the media does best. They twist your words. Rob Parker said all of those things but not the way they were shown on this talk show. His words were taken completely out of context. All they did was take the most inflammable parts of his comments and paste them together. Listen to what he ACTUALLY said and compare it to this BS.
Thats comical that you think IM the one who doesnt get it. He is trying to say the "RG3 isnt black enough talk" doesnt happen in barbershops while Rob Parker says it does. I think the guy who owns a barber shop would know what kind of conversations go on in there.
Rob Parker belongs nowhere near a television camera. This man has insulted his own race and more importantly segregated his own race. This is the kind of poison that belittles black people and RG should speak about this.
You can get a shave at the shop. Head or face, its also a community spot. Dont always gotta get a cut, trim or shave. Cant believe people dont know this.
Rob would be on FirstTake right now considering Stephen A. and Skip are on vacation and I like Rob Parker but, he did shoot himself in the foot!....Now I'm subjected to hear Lomas Brown and his voice irritates me!
To continue my reply to jazzsexy, I'm glad Limbaugh was fired by ESPN. He had no business ever being on a sports network. In 2000, ABC considered hiring him as an analyst on Monday Night Football before opting instead for Dennis Miller. If Limbaugh had been on Monday Night Football, he might have lasted three weeks, which was about as long as it took for ESPN to fire him from their NFL Countdown show in 2003.
Nah dude was talkin about guy on this video who said he goes to the shop twice a week. Not Parker. Parkers definitely got some problems with that mess.
3 year's later both Rob parker and Doug goltebb work at fox sports
Ephraim works at FSR on weekends too
Ephraim is on robs radio show too lmao
Lakers Nation and they both still suck lol
HOW MANY STUPID PEOPLE LISTEN THER SHOW??
Must be uncomfortable for rob to let ephraim appear on his radio show as a guest lol
The real question is why does he go to the barber shop twice a week....
To keep the bald head, bald
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😅
To look fresh. Gotta shave the head at least 2× a week. Mandatory
🤣 winner!
When "keepin it real goes wrong"
He didn’t knew it real
He's an ESPN employee. He should stick to sports. Nobody cares about skin color in football, only if you're a good player.
Unless your Colin Kapernick
@@humblehugh23 colin sackorpick does not care about football. No one thinks hes a good FB player either.

I'm glad you stopped the white dude. He was about to sound like a fool

This is so funny, I love how Ephraim Salaam tears apart Rob Parker. Rob Parker is such an idiot
Rob more successful than this bum
Ephraim Salaam, I have to thank you for being a decent human being and that is all that matters.
I remember watching this live, and will never forget the absolute look of stunned astonishment on Stephen A. Smiths face after Parkers obviously idiotic comment.
It was a valid question, RG3 turned out to be a complete cornball 🤣. The fiancé thing was way outta pocket tho and very ignorant
@@charlesdonawayiii3396 he called the man a Republican for marrying a … women . He made a racially motivated statement that’s corny
@@Discipleofthelordandjesusnah RG3 is corny
Lol😂😂😂😂😂
He was right
I came on here to hear what Parker said and came away with Doug Gottlieb not knowing what racist comments are.
"When keeping it real goes wrong; look at that hair line" funny.
It's true.... he shouldn't have said it on national television! !
Imagine this folks and seeing where we are now. The white guy was ahead of the woke times, he saw what was coming.
⏩ Ephraim now sits in and regularly contributes to Rob's radio show. 😏 Life goes on and is so beautiful....is it not?
Ironic
In 2012 what cause are you down for. In 2021 if you said this and your black you'd be attacked by the media.
Dave Chappelle reference lmao "When keeping it real goes wrong, you lose your job and your hairline looks like that."
We have these discussions everyday, wtf is this bro talking about! Not just us but our women too.
This is exactly what Dave meant to exemplify in his skits...A real life "when keeping it real goes wrong"
Right lol it was true tho what he said

Rob Parker is "highly educated". He has a Master's Degree from Columbia 📻
Just because you’re educated doesn’t mean you’re smart (Donald Trump)

He was jivin heavy on the topic for sure
NO WAY, NO HOW!!!
People say time heals...Time hasn't healed racism...
Lmao, I love watching this every now and then...Rob deserves every bit of roasting he gets.
Bravo Mr. Salaam. You do have class.
Why is Doug Gottlieb defending him on this?? Ephraim, and most of us, find the statements inexcusable.
Him saying he’s a Republican and holding it against his race is EVERYTHING wrong with this country.
Sadly there are so many black people that think this way that are among us.
The worst kind of racism is from your own people. Tribalism is never a reason to cast out another black person.

Anybody else wondering why Ephraim is at the barbershop twice a week? Hey man, I'm bald too...so I just want to know.
Maybe he doesn't shave his own head and has a barber do it so he won't have clean up the mess left behind?
Ephraim Salaam needs to relax. Don't ever be calling for people's jobs like that. *COME ON NOW*
Rush Limbaugh was dismissed from ESPN back in 2003 for comments he made about then Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, saying the media and other folks were rooting for him to succeed because he's black. The fact that dude tried to take up for Rob Parker. Smmfh 8 yrs laters and he still on TV.
Black means embracing that you are black, and not being scared of it, or thinking you are too smart to be black.
I understand the concept. I just don't think it's necessary in this case, especially since Doug doesn't work for ESPN anymore.
My point was that if you commit a crime, you should go to jail no matter what race...
Years later and this is just awkward.
"Some validity to this"... WTF???????
lol Ikr. I guess he was trying to make a debate out of it but it wasn't going to happen.

Again, how is RGIII a sellout?
His way of thinking is primitive. RGIII is a human being. Why isn't that good enough. Why must someone put him in a category that will separate him.
See? That's what the media does best. They twist your words. Rob Parker said all of those things but not the way they were shown on this talk show. His words were taken completely out of context. Does it not help our "Cause" to be educated, accomplished and well spoken like RG3?
This literally was when keeping it real goes wrong..
How is this consisted racist? Let the man speak his mind. As soon as I heard that RG3 said that, I thought the exact same thing.
