I'm a lifelong Wolverine, I idolized Tom Brady, and I've never been a Rob Parker fan...having said that, Rick Barry comes off like an entitled dick...again. His teammates hated him, he couldn't control his own temper, and he made a disagreement with a journalist personal, dick move. And then, he pulled the card that every single, big ego, small character athlete pulls, "You don't know the game, you didn't play"...it comes out every time a conceited athlete is disagreed with. It's like telling an oncologist, "you can't treat me, you've never had cancer." I don't like siding with Parker in anything, but Barry was completely out of bounds.

i do like him for the 10 seconds he seems to be giving a sincere apology to RG3 but otherwise i've never like him or learned anything whatsoever from him.
Here's the thing - the guy in the beginning who called Rob Parker a Loser - I don't agree with that cos he was talking as though he knows everything and anybody who hasn't played knows nothing. That is flatly wrong. So I give Rob the benefit of the doubt on that one. And I don't think Rob Parker is a clown as a lot of people say. At the same time for him to act like he doesn't have a personal gripe with Tom Brady and LeBron James is flatly ignorant.
You can be critical of them all you want - deflategate, spygate, or LeBron going to Miami, the Dallas series - that's all fine. Those are fair criticisms. But saying LeBron is not a top 10 player of all time and that Brady doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame and is not the first or second best QB of all time is flatly ignorant and deep down Rob knows it. I think it is a thing where he's had this argument about the two of them from the jump and because he argued to it for so long I think he's just convinced himself that it's objective and fights anyone who argues that it isn't. Doug Gottlieb's argument was perfect because he said it exactly as it - Rob is acting like it's not personal, when it is.
I don't think that makes him a "clown" but at the same time I do think it makes his opinions on these specific matters - in one ear out the other kinda thing.
