While I Do Like the Headphones, my main problem with them is that they are kinda cheaply made and I have had to buy more mainly after the plug got stuck in my iPad
I used a third party charger for my switch for about a year and a half and my switch is fine lmao, the only reason that you would buy the official ac adapter is so you can play docked
I bought those switch headphones because they were 30$ and I used the mic all the time for discord calls and such, after about 2 years they had some problems that I couldn’t really get around so I got new headphones but the switch headphones never actually stopped working altogether, the main problem they have is that the volume scroll wheel on them is too sensitive and easy to bump and also after a short amount of time became unreliable where even at full volume it’d sound silent until you fiddled with it a bunch, and after about a year and 6 months the left ear cable started having an issue where if it wasn’t at the correct angle the right ear wouldn’t have any sound, so the problem is not the mic it’s just that for a lot of people they’re gonna be too fragile, or maybe my set was just busted who knows, but gaming earbuds are not particularly comfortable in my opinion, I don’t really find earbuds more comfortable than headphones, and as a matter of fact those switch headphones were some of the most comfortable headphones I’ve owned because they perfectly cupped my ears instead of resting on them and although they don’t have a swivel joint the headband is made at an angle so they fit, all together I’d say that it just matters on preference of the consumer so don’t say that people should avoid the switch headphones and instead let them form their own opinions
Specifically when it comes to the USB C cable, it is a bad idea. The Switch doesn’t actually use a USB-C port that follows the USB-C standard, its just shaped the same. Using a regular USB-C cord can damage the battery.

I have the switch headset in the grey color and its only $15 and it works with every platform and sounds good. I also use the mic a lot and it works fine.
Me: Well I will use the mic for online games Him:WE dOnT USe ThE MiC
I got the animal crossing themed switch headphones and one side broke so now audio only comes out of one side..
The Nintendo headphones look so sick though!
I use a laptop charger I found at my school and it works like a charm it powers anything that takes usb c
No way I can’t bring my any usb-c cable for trips. 😡
Edit now I really like the joy con hand grips now, thanks for noticing me. 😊
2nd edit: I don’t need mic thanks.
headphones are way more comfortable than earbuds 👁👄👁
If you do by a wheel by one that actually has a stand with a pivot join so it recenters and act's like a wheel controller that just doesn't have a controller inside yet.
(i.e. it returns to a nurtal postion when you let go)
While I Do Like the Headphones, my main problem with them is that they are kinda cheaply made and I have had to buy more mainly after the plug got stuck in my iPad
Um.. I don't have a Nintendo charger and don't have the money...
you can use other cables just makw sure the voltage isnt too high
I hundred percent agree with the earbuds but I mainly use my headphones for the mic when I play Fortnite
actaully the tip about the switch specific charger is legit. other chargers of the type can fry the switch motherboard
I used a third party charger for my switch for about a year and a half and my switch is fine lmao, the only reason that you would buy the official ac adapter is so you can play docked
tbh, the charger part: as long as you're not plugging it for the TV, you're good to go
I bought those switch headphones because they were 30$ and I used the mic all the time for discord calls and such, after about 2 years they had some problems that I couldn’t really get around so I got new headphones but the switch headphones never actually stopped working altogether, the main problem they have is that the volume scroll wheel on them is too sensitive and easy to bump and also after a short amount of time became unreliable where even at full volume it’d sound silent until you fiddled with it a bunch, and after about a year and 6 months the left ear cable started having an issue where if it wasn’t at the correct angle the right ear wouldn’t have any sound, so the problem is not the mic it’s just that for a lot of people they’re gonna be too fragile, or maybe my set was just busted who knows, but gaming earbuds are not particularly comfortable in my opinion, I don’t really find earbuds more comfortable than headphones, and as a matter of fact those switch headphones were some of the most comfortable headphones I’ve owned because they perfectly cupped my ears instead of resting on them and although they don’t have a swivel joint the headband is made at an angle so they fit, all together I’d say that it just matters on preference of the consumer so don’t say that people should avoid the switch headphones and instead let them form their own opinions
Specifically when it comes to the USB C cable, it is a bad idea. The Switch doesn’t actually use a USB-C port that follows the USB-C standard, its just shaped the same. Using a regular USB-C cord can damage the battery.
don't buy the official nintendo switch backpack, just get a normal one instead
that being said I do have the joy con controller thingy, it's pretty good
