good idea using the small neo magnet to mount the reflector clever thinking. thank you for the kind fathers day wishes and a very happy fathers day to you too. thanks for posting today.
In the 70s I worked in an American car only garage. A long time regular customer bought a Toyota and the owner agreed to service it but we sent him out to find a metric brake spoon before we could adjust his brakes. It turned into a 3 hour adventure, first parts store sent him to another place but called ahead to keep the joke going. It snowballed. Poor Dale.
Yup that is a nice looking Hungarian made lantern you have there Ken! 🙂🙂 Great idea of using those Neodymium miniature magnets to secure the shield on your other lantern! 👍 Yup gives me an idea to fabricate a little reflector shield for one of my lanterns!👍👍 Yes getting ready for camp & yup a few lanterns to bring to camp & deciding on which lantern or lanterns to bring!🙂🙂
Ive fashioned before, an aluminum pie pan just below the crown of my lanterns to help reflect more light shinning down when i string them way up high under a tall tree branch.
Have you washed it out with a good degreaser? Especially up inside the chimney there could be some old soot from burning something odd from the previous owner.
