You'll be right about the A1. I've converted the b3 with the brass washer, but it wiggles after some time, I have a steel one but didn't have the time to switch

That a1 is comparing with the 860 from dewalt, somewhere near that beast

You need to find time and get the steel bushing in. It is a game changer! As for the A1 they should start making it again as a throwback line or something. Because I need a couple more of them 😂

    • @BrokeLifeEU

It is no longer available. And I can't justify the added cost from eBay. The A1 is also no longer available from Lidl. It can be found on eBay for 100-120 EUR and I can somewhat justify that price. Also I have tested it against the C3 in another video.

Some of these are such a bad experience that I can do with an incomplete collection. They can keep their B2 Performance impact driver and the A2 high torque. I need some more brand new A1 impact drivers. Unfortunately they are around 150-200 from eBay with shipping.

Anvil - www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006685992991.html - this comes with a base that has a height of 6+mm, which you somehow need to bring down to 5mm. Can be done with a bench grinder, angle grinder, easiest to do on a metal lathe.
Washer - either enlarge the inside diameter of the original one to 16mm or get one of these - www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003106128837.html - M16, however it has a height of 2.5mm you need to bring that down to 2mm, This is easy to do on even some sandpaper, however it requires a lot of time. Alternatively get the M14 as it has a height of 2mm and drill it out to a 16mm inside diameter.
Bushing - only one option and it is a steel one. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005414399400.html - 16x20x14 this bushing fits the above anvil perfectly. The height is the right one as well, unfortunately the outside diameter is the issue. It is 20mm as it comes, however you need to make it 19mm. The only way to do that is on a metal lathe. Basically for all 3 parts of this conversion you need a metal lathe.

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  4 месяца назад +1

Vielen Dank!

It will move just a little bit. It won't be much at all. Just some movement to show that there is some space between the bushing and anvil. It will be better with the steel bushing. I have has one or two faulty brass bushings but never a problem with the steel ones. Just make sure the anvil turns freely when you install it.
