Don't watch cable anymore because of you guys. Shows are awesome! Learned a lot from you guys. Don't have that offshore boat yet, but eventually it will come. For now sticking up here in Ponce Inlet with the Kayak and Mosquito Lagoon flats fishing in the Gheenoe.
Great video...and awesome magazine you do work on.. I truly recommend it to the beginner or experienced angler in this always evolving sport.. Thanks Cap. for such a good job and sharing!
those bar jacks will eat anything. one time we were covered up in dolphin and I was reeling in my bare hook after loosing a dolphin and a bar jack ate the hook bare lol that was a first for me
I am going to marathon Key for 2 weeks in Augustin from the 1st to the 14th can u recomend some bait shops on the atlantic side near the airport. We are staying on a canal and i wanted to fish it could you give some tips on that to. Thankyou I love your guys shows
i have a question... those little bar jacks that are so prevalent on the weed lines, are they edible? we went out to the 46 line yesterday and caught a ton of those and also a bunch of dolphin.
GREGORY WEAVER You certainly could eat them but its not going to compare to the fresh dolphin. I would recommend catching them on a sabiki or small jig depending on size, and using them for bait rather than dinner. - Capt Mike
Question: Why are their 'catch limits' for the fisherman but there are NO 'buy limits' for customers of fish houses, on fish caught in the same waters, same species? I was shocked how much fish I was able to take home on my last FL Keys trip, when I left my boat at home and used the bait/fuel/toll money for purchasing fresh local caught fish. In know that I was able to bring home 10 times what I would have caught, especially considering the crappy weather that weekend. Can someone please explain to me how this is good for "CONSERVATION"?

What is a deep bait that you put on a planer?
A bonito strip or ballyhoo with skirt/lure is perfect.
Could you use live pinfish for dolphin
You certainly could, not my first choice but they'll whack 'em!
Thanks I was just wondering because you know how the other kinds of bait might not be available
What inch iland lures do you use?
Both the Illander and Jr. Illander. - Capt Mike

+Joe Shmoe Welcome to America, where sometime rules and regs simply make no sense! - Capt Mike
Florida Sport Fishing When things don't make sense, the answer is always M O N E Y . :) Thanx for your reply.
+Joe Shmoe Sadly, you are correct.
do u do charters
No, Im sorry I don't. - Capt Mike
how far out were you
10-13 miles off
Love it!! However you shouldn’t touch baby dolphins cause it removes the slime. Causes them to get sick and die.
