The man knew how to make the show. Rip Legend.
Best everything !!! "Nothing compares to you" PRINCE!!
“America.” the live 9 min version by Prince!
Please do more Prince reactions :)
Watching this song performed in a scene from Purple Rain, where Prince did the damn thing, no one left the theatre NOT believing he was indeed a "STAR-RAH!"
Dont tell my husband, lol … But I’m in love with Prince. Even though he is gone. 🥰
He lost album of the year award to Lionel Richie's Can't Slow Down. Purple Rain lost to Can't Slow Down. Let that sentence sink in.
And in 1987 he was once again robbed for album of the year. Equally criminal, as Sign 'O' The Times is his pillar of a masterpiece.
The grammys has always robbed Prince of many awards 😑 even AMAs robbed prince in 1985
Just look at the history of the Grammy's, they oftentimes made the safe choice for awards. Bob Dylan didn't get an award until 1979, that's almost 20 years after being the voice of a generation.
U2’s Joshua Tree beat Sign O’ The Times, Bad, and the Whitney album. So disappointing.
@@5xjosee566 Joshua Tree is a great album. Sign O' The Times and Bad are far more acclaimed nowadays and I'd argue better, but Joshua Tree winning wasn't the worst offence.
@@5xjosee566 well P MJ and whitney went there so i see its ok for U2...Prince went there so going again its ok same for MJ.. Sign o the times is Princes magnus opus and for music real listeners is the last truly last album of rnb & rock with jazzy elements before hip hop and sampling music take over rnb and rnb itself
Saw him in concert 3 times the greatest💜💜💜that's Jerome from Purple Rain dancing with him and of course Sheila E.
Prince is, was and 4ever will be the best Live performer in the world! I have zero doubts about that. ... 💜 O(+> 4ever
Watching Grammy in the 80s was cool !
I love how they start out at a hype level of 10 and it just gets crazier and crazier
Amén hahsha
Please react to his live performance of 'play that funky music' during his welcome 2 America tour
Prince was dating Wendy's twin sister Susannah during this era. She was the singer in a band Prince produced, The Family (nowadays fDeluxe). It was also the band that released the "original" version of "Nothing compares 2U". They re-recorded this song 7 hours and 15 days after Prince passing in 2016.
I watched this when it happened. I was a 15 year old white girl in Jackson Mississippi. I had my walls plastered with prince. As you can imagine, some people didn’t like it. BUT I DID NOT CARE!!!! They stayed. This performance wore ME out 😂😂
Prince was just full of energy.
Love me some Prince, had this album on tape. Wonderful.
incredible performance... i still miss his presence here and in music today. he was one of the greatest to ever do it. his artistry, his musicality, his voice... just amazing!
Fashion sexy manly intelligent funny , lace on him just 💜💜💜
I hadn’t seen this performance before. Great seeing your live reaction also
Prince and the Revolution not evolution! Just FYI. And a Revolution they were to me as a highschool kid in KY.. I saw The Purple Rain Tour 1984 December. You will not believe it to watch a whole show from this era or any other!! I have several live Prince performances to suggest. I love your Elvis ones by the way. He's a favorite as well as Prince and many of the artusts you react to. Seen a bunch too! But...anyway Prince: Peach. With Mayte the aftershow video not the awards show one. It's insane 2000 people in a warehouse made for 500!! All jumping up and down. Prince is amazing in that live clip..keep in mind its after a full show..there is more footage of that show out there harder to track down. Also..Prince on Vibe..Sinbad's show. He does let's work and Delerious. Its wild. I like Prince in the 2000s on NAACP awards and also the Brits and the Alma awards with Sheila E. His award show performances blow the rest of the show put of the water. If you are looking for a ballad The Beautiful Ones from Purple Rain. BTW of the actual PR album is pulled from a very few live performances many on the first take with some overdubs. The cut of Purple Rain that is released is the first live performance ever of it and Wendy Melvoin' s stage debut at 19. Let that soak in. I'm sure you have seen PR but I also love Computer Blue..the movie version. Well I could suggest Prince all day and Elvis too. I know most of their catalogs and have listened to the albums in depth. 2 artists I believe who sang their life stories and Prince wrote his. But the more you know about them the more you understand the music. And that is why it's so powerful. Prince I would have to say..best all around musician and writer producer ever. Elvis had a great deal ti do with his arrangements and I believe he was a little more raw and vulnerable with his ballads than the master perfectionist Prince. But Prince ballads are totally neglected as is Elvis 70s country soul . Elvis Polk Salad Annie 1970. Check that one out! Ok. I need to write a book haha. Love your channel.
Check out all of his performances of these songs, he seems to have always changed it up a bit but each version is amazing. Just an amazing artist and musician. The best of the best
Jammin! 💜💜💜💜💜🎸🎸
This is definitely one of my favorite Prince songs.
If that's Andre on that bass ... then Andre is playin' the absolute HELL out that bass...!!!!!
Nice! They all did their thing.
Thats brown mark. Andre cymone left in 1981
@@sammclaurin9296 Ahhh. Ok. Thanks. He rocked that base...!!
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER O(+>
