      i bought my quadzilla a few weeks ago and didnt know that the fuel pressure sensor is separate . Do i need to buy the sensor or could i use the glow shift gauges sensor i already have installed ? the plug looks the same

    • @purepanorama8484
      @purepanorama8484  5 лет назад +1

      @@excaliburjeepxj I'm pretty sure that you can plug right into your other fuel pressure sensor. The plugs are identical. I thought of doing that for a few days until I got my quad sensor hooked up but never tried it. I think you'd be good to go by plugging it in there though, and then just grab a 2nd sensor later on and have them both working. It is nice to have them both giving you a reading. I will show you how I set mine up to get reading from the same exact spot too.

    • @excaliburjeepxj
      @excaliburjeepxj 5 лет назад +1

      @@purepanorama8484 ok awesome also i m not sure if the snubber is needed ive been running my glow shift gauge for over 2 years and no issues the reading dose go from 15 psi to 20 psi but as long as it stays over 12 im happy..

    • @purepanorama8484
      @purepanorama8484  5 лет назад +1

      You definitely want the snubber valve in there. It will settle your fuel pressure reading down and keep it at a constant reading and also the pressure spikes from the vp44 that you're seeing can damage the sensor and eventually your gauge wont work is what they claim. I'd throw the snubber valve just to get a good accurate reading all the time at the very least.

    Great video. I've done a little bit of tuning on gas engines turbo cars. But this is a whole different ballgame. I've been into Cummins my whole life and it's a weird to start diving into custom tuning like this on a Cummins. Never used to be that way with these diesels. Looking forward to it and it's so new to me ha ha. Thanks for the in-depth video. I really wish there was more in-depth stuff like this out there. I gotta say quad Zila did a terrible job giving good explanation on their product thorough explanation and instructions.

They know how to build them or the parts u will need for a certified installer all over the country to put it together for you...they use build sheets and ask u many questions about what u plan on doing with your truck and build it to your specific application...none of the stage 1,2,3 like othertranny companies use...hope this comment helps you out. Is the red zone with the boost fueling basically the “ roll coal zone?”

    • @purepanorama8484
      @purepanorama8484  5 лет назад +1

      There are some other things in the custom tuning that can be changed to make the truck "roll coal" but raising the fuel in the boost fueling will certainly play a role in it as well. If I'm not mistaken I think these trucks can only take so much can bus fueling though, so raising it too high may or may not be bad for the truck and it's performance. I will have to try and find the canbus fueling number that I saw as a maximum for these trucks.

    Question is assume you know a decent amount about quadzilla adrenaline… I’m having some troubles and the support team wouldn’t help me…. So I checked all my connections, unplugged everything including batteries and I’m still experiencing the same problem. The problem is that when I have a tune turned up past 2 I get almost like a fuel cut or the wire tap is not connecting or working properly, and then it comes right back and then repeats over and over I don’t really know what’s causing it, I checked the wire tap for 12 volts and it’s got 12.7 volts so I’m kind of lost since no one seems to know. I have also tested full throttle and it almost seems to run on “stock” with no tap because there is no give power at all but a lot of fuel. I tried to launch it for testing purposes and it bucked like a bull while building boost/before and after launch until i let off because it’s ridiculous and getting annoying. Thank you for your help if you can give any.

    • @SquareGoated
      @SquareGoated 2 года назад

      Most definitely need an aftermarket pump as well as the factory torque converter starts to slip at about 650 foot pounds and the base tune on the quad makes about 900 something so at minimum need a torque converter

    • @purepanorama8484
      @purepanorama8484  5 лет назад

      Yes, mine was in there all the way but I think that actually needs to be pulled out and then the sensor needs to just be installed on its own possibly. The probe on it looks a bit long though. If you look in the instruction book it looks like the adapters and everything are installed but if you look on the website at the trans temp sensor its just the probe so that got me thinking that the first adapter is not needed maybe. I'm nervous to pull it out of there and screw just the probe in because I don't want it to hit anything as the trans in engaging.

    • @blawsonbl
      @blawsonbl 5 лет назад +1

      I was thinking the same thing. However I think you have it installed correctly and they sell just the sensor not the adapter for our transmission. I could be wrong. The reason I asked is because I wasn't getting a reading. Then I learned the sensor only reads 100 to 240°. I didnt drive my truck enough to get a temp reading. We are probably both good to go!

    • @purepanorama8484
