    I installed the CTS3 edge juice w/attitude on mine last year. 2001 dodge ram 2500 4x4 w/auto. I did install the BD stealth cover. Installed the fleece power flo lift pump kit. I did mill over deciding between the quadzilla and the edge. Keep in mind im not one for big power. Just a little better than stock. Made my truck way more reliable than stock was my goal. For somebody of my skill level, the edge was the way to go for me. Im not saying the quadzilla is bad. Its amazing. Maybe one day ill try it on my other 2nd gen. As i learn more and gain skill/confidence level. But super super happy with my edge. Great videos. Keep em coming. Always good day for me to see 2nd content.

    Been using the Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 for a couple years now with all the tuning set to the max with stock headbolts. Looks the same as the edge when in the truck, but has way more tuning parameters than the edge, and doesn't need to have the drag or hot unlock for the 36-3700rpm limit. The use of the iquad app is almost ridiculously simple. It won't be a huge difference on a stock truck, but with larger injectors and turbo you can turn can bus fueling lower than stock to make it clean if you need to as well as fine tune wire tap fueling and timing every 500rpm. They will have comparable fueling capabilities at WOT but edge is still using smarty like tuning whereas the quadzilla Adrenaline v2 is closer to efi live, of course not the same, but you can set specific values and limits rather than a vague scaling number. I really wish you didn't have to comnect to the app to change tunes so I like how edge has that. The apple app uses wifi and has more issues from what I hear but android uses bluetooth and I've only had an issue connecting once a year ago.

    Hey Andrew, I was wondering what your list of supporting mods would be to make 450-500hp reliably, on a VP44 truck. Would it be pretty much the same as the common rail video? With my 40hp injectors and it being a '01 NV5600, high output truck, I would be very close to that 500hp number with this tuner. I already have installed a Fass 165gph, which in my opinion, is the most important upgrade for a VP44 truck. Thanks!

    • @JustDiesels

      My plans for this truck are transmission (done), head studs, valve springs, push rods, Fass (done) and then eventually injectors and a turbo.

  • @bennybaldwin2627
    @bennybaldwin2627 Год назад

    Really like you mentality with your builds - After towing my race car with my '22 Hemi 2500, I'm going to give my 01 Cummins 5spd some love. I want to add power, monitoring, backup camera and Bluetooth audio. After messing with a double din install, I bailed on that as I didn't like the results. I'm gonna grab a new oem+ head unit that has Bluetooth input. I was leaning towards a Juice w/ Attitude CTS3. Seeing your results with the comp box has me rethinking. Do you know if the Comp Juice performs the same as the Comp box? Or would you look at a Comp Box + Insight combo?

    • @JustDiesels
      @JustDiesels  Год назад

      This is going to be the top power adder for 24v trucks from edge, so you’d want to pair this with the standard cts3 insight gauge if you want digital gauges

    • @edgeproductsman
      @edgeproductsman Год назад

      @bennybaldwin2627 it sounds like you're the perfect candidate for the Juice with Attitude CTS3. With the built in safety parameters it's a great option for a tow rig, but the monitor can accept a back up camera easily.

The DPF is still there the original turbo is there, it has 145k on it , I've primarily used it to tow a Fifth Wheel Camper around the USA . Unless the previous owner did something so discreet to it ? It's Stock and beats your stock time?

    Has anyone else felt that the Quadzilla Adrenaline has a "really clunky" interface like he says? I have no experience with tuners but I'm looking to pick up one very soon. The Quadzilla was the front runner for me. With him saying that it's clunky multiple times, it has me wondering. I didn't see where there was an option to run digital gauges on the phone nor did I see a valet mode option like the Quad has. Custom tuning was a big selling point for me. I'm not really sold on this comp box unless the Quad really is that clunky

      @TX-cumminsgriesel the Quadzilla has the most features of any tuner available for a VP44 cummins. You are able to tune it yourself somewhat like a standalone ecu. It has way more features, it also has the ability for one to make complete custom tunes in addition to the tunes preloaded from Quadzilla. Personally it was a night and day improvement from stock. Would recommend an upgraded lift pump or a complete fuel system to keep her happy though.
