Max Verstappen has been dominant in the 2023 season!
The three-time World Champion has broken so many records this year we thought we'd put it all in one video to show just how special this year has been for the Dutchman.

I love what Max said in the Mercedes dominance era "Give me a dominant car and you will see what will happen." This year is just on another level
he said give me a competitive car and see what happens ,
When did he said that ,I belive it ,but where did he said that !
Genuinely don't think we'll ever have a season with this much domination by a single driver, it just seems statistically impossible to beat this. Absolutely incredible, consistent performance throughout the entire year.
I might be a nerd for this, but I'd love for someone to take a serious look at the statistics
I sure hope we dont
You guys forgot about Lewis?
@@petrabanjarnahor229Verstappen has been much more dominant during this season, beating a lot of records people thought were unbreakable. He has been much more dominant than Lewis ever was, Lewis was never as consistent as Max. So I don't think we need to bring Lewis into the conversation for the most dominant season ever
@@petrabanjarnahor229He was dominant, but he had some races that he lost, but max did not go off the top 2 except for singapore
Max Verstappen single-handedly helped Red Bull RB19 dethrone McLaren MP4/4 as "the most dominant F1 car" this year!
The fact that he couldve wont he constructor by himself shows the dominance
GOATSTAPPEN's consistency in 2023 is unreal. Insane skill and focus
verstappen's consistency is what makes him so utterly dominant. would perez have even had 5 wins if max was erased from the season?
he would be having 6, would've easily won the championship too but not in a fashion max did
@@birdwithoutwings6858 it's crazy he'd have 6. honestly didn't think he'd be past 5 lol.
How about this: The maximum # points in a season for a driver this year - 550. Maximum fast laps - 22. Maximum sprint points - 48 Total = 620
Max’s points = 575. % of point won = 92%
Damn!
even toto wolf admitted that max is probably the only driver that nails the sweet spot of the tyres every race.. what a driver
A funny record due to Max: the number of times the Dutch national hymns was played on an internationally podium in one year.
Max Verstappen also has the most amount of theme songs of any F1 drivers in history. He has 3.
I think the best man is seldom 1% faster (probably less) than the rest. Max too. But another champion might win some and lose some, and due to the law of large numbers he finally wins the championship by the narrowest margin.
But with Max it's different. While others express their 1% dominance on average, Max seems to be able to do that all the time. Every race, every corner, every damn second of the race. That's why he takes it all.
Think his most impressive record is the percentage of possible points he scored, which you didn't mention. It's about 93% if I'm correct. He just left 7% on the table, to do that over the many races we had, shows how without mistakes he really was this year.
One record I haven’t heard. Red Bull won 21 of 22 with Max & Checo.
The first 1-2 of redbull
Why are people still questioning if this is the most dominant season in F1 history? I know numbers don't tell the whole story, but I can't think of any other season that even comes close to stacking up against this one.
Homer: The most dominant season so far! ☝

Doh
The *best* ever for a driver
Horner Simpson
His most impressive record is he has broken the most records in a single season
I think the most incredible record is his [mistakes/races rate].
Is there any other F1 champion made fewer mistakes in a year as Max did in 2023?
I've been watching red bull's race since 2019, red bull's success is doomed. Over the years they always try to be the best in every aspect of a team. And you can see the driver Max impove himself every year. What they lack is just the car, or the engine. These are the reasons why mercedes look not competetive in 2021 even with the fastest car and why toto wolf was so deperate to ask fia to change the rule in order to confine red bull's tyre changing because mercedes's tyre changing is much slower than red bull's. Last year red bull has a 'W09' and its already a record breaking season. This year red bull has a 'W11', and they show how dominant a team can be if being top in every aspect.
Max won 2 championships this season itself. 4 time world champ
The video is from after Abu Dhabi but the numbers are from before? 🤔
The goat of goats. What more needs to be said
We wil see that next year, Max will talk on track and I fear he has a lot more to say. About how one should drive a F1 car. Max has some ideas he likes to share with everyone: wait and see, "the worst is yet to come".
You can replace the question mark in the title with an exclamation mark.
I hope max has some more competition next year!
Yea lol I like max and red bull but would love to see some closer races, great to witness this run but need some more competition
He literally did

Doesnt Button only have 5 pit stop? So Max has this record, I dont understand why the drive through is also counted
That’s the same shit as with being champion 6GPs ahead, all because of the sprint races. I get it but come on that’s not an actual record he broke
@@Mark-vn7etA sprint is not a grand prix, so its valid
@@ihateeveryoneofyou I know I know but it’s not kinda fair you feel me? That’s the same as with the maximum points because they changed up during the years, you need to look at percentage. At least that’s my opinion
@@Mark-vn7et Yeah but arguing about things like that is pointless. Otherwise you could state that X amount of drivers championships are invalid because under prior points systems they wouldnt have one. The simple fact is, there were 6 gps left, and Max had sealed the title.
@@ihateeveryoneofyou I know, well if I think about now what max did was way better then schumacher. Yeah there are more races but the more points per race also make it way more difficult to be able to outrun your opponent in points…..

We are witnessing THE GOAT!!!
Why is there a question mark in the title?
GO MAX! 👍
Super Max
Why that question mark?
The only record that counts: Max won 19 out of 22. That says enough, that says it all.
All what comes after is rather pointless. Cause F1 is full of statistics, it provides a thousand ways to look at the same thing. But we knew that, didn't we?
Great, now you guys jinxed the 2024 season.

Max Verstappen will destroy others next season 👑👑👑👑
any cult members from team LH want to reply?
This record is so crazy that I believe it will never be beaten in the next decade. That's if f1 is still around. Max's dominance is not due to just driver skill above the rest as the difference between the top drivers is not accurately represented by the gap between him and the other top drivers. If he had a Russell or Charles or Lewis or Alonso they would have taken victories from him. Sergio is the correct teammate for team harmony and Max's dominance.
Everything that's being said about Max in terms of superlatives has been said about Lewis when he had the dominant car. Peter himself said he was impossible to beat. Without the machine the qualities of the special drivers won't shine as bright as they should. Lewis was sublime just over 2 years ago, you don't just unlearn how to be fast. Look at Marc Marquez in MotoGP, he won 6 straight but since Ducati took over Honda Marquez fell into the pack. Does that mean Marquez is slow all of a sudden and Paco is the new light? Same here in F1. Everything that Max is doing with the dominant Redbull car at the front Lewis was doing it in the dominant Mercedes at the front. He did it so well that Max always pointed out that if you have the fastest car you can do all those pace control and tire saving tricks and not make mistakes. Max used to say this in the conferences a lot when he used to finish 3rd all the time and sometimes second.
However I can say that Max as a driver in the best car has been more consistent than Lewis was in the best car. Max has been more decisive than Lewis in the dominant car because he's been willing to attempt high risk moves. Lewis is known to relinquish the fight for a less risky move down the line so drivers fight against him more. Max on the other hand is and has always been a bully on track and just don't give a f#$k in the press room afterwards, so drivers don't want to tangle with him. Redbull has a clear #1and #2 driver hierarchy in the team so all the decision naturally benefit Max first. I fully agree with that, that guarantees your best driver has the best chance of beating the other teams best drivers. Merc can't do that because George is no chump and has championship talent. So Lewis has to share the favorable decisions 50/50 with his teammates until he or his teammate is significantly ahead by a certain phase in the championship. That to me is too late if you have opponents like Redbull and Max.
The other thing is that Redbull has been the best team in F1 in terms of race management since before the hybrid era. Their strategies are always on point and when they need to gamble they don't hesitate and make the best of it unlike Merc.
If, by some miracle, Merc and Ferrari or McLaren are within a couple tenths in race pace next year we will start to see more mistakes from Max and Redbull and overall a better fight for the championship.
You get old, you loose the edge. It's the norm , no one's special in that department. Well maybe except kimi. Whom every driver in the rosters calls a freak of nature for raw talent.
Rossi , Marquez, shum, Hamilton they all hit peaks and then young blood steps up. It'll happen to vestappen too.
By the way, Hamilton has not been quicker by that much over Russel. So... You see ,he himself has said he's doubting himself. Nobody can beat age, better skill, or a faster car.
U mean century instead of decade. I mean some records were like 70 years old.
The red bull this year was dominant the first couple of races .. Mercedes has been much more dominant the past years( 14,15,16 and 19&20 ) .. Perez for example only scored 54 point in the second half of the year .. if the red bull was truly dominant like the Mercedes was Perez would have been second basically every time ( just like Bottas ). So that whole “sky sports narrative “ that the red bull is the most dominant car ever is just BS.
@@jurjenboelema737 Notably, the RB19 is the only Red Bull car to take a 1-2 in the WDC, and it did that *despite* Checo's laundry list of mistakes, bad luck, and other mishaps.
@@grommile I would say to that ; if you’re driving a truly dominant car you will not get in the situation of making so much errors and mistakes. Again Perez only had 54 points in the second half of the season.. The same Perez who beat al his teammates the past couple of years ( not saying he is the quickest driver out there but he is certainly not bad or average)

It just shows in F1 it’s the car not the driver. Hamilton 7 times champion is nowhere in this years championship because his car is rubbish. Stick Verstappen in the Mercedes’ and he wouldn’t win a race because the red bull is literally straights ahead of the rest. It’s always been the car!!
