Haha. I'm the author of this thing. But always considered it no more than a hobby project. I never expected someone to make video reviews on it. It's a very strange and unfamiliar feeling. Nevertheless, thanks for your attention. The project is not finished, there's still a lot of work to do, but I keep working on it when time allows.
i'm curious to test it with my screen reader. Megamek does not play well with zzoomtext or jaws. The mechlab is 'ok' but the actual game move is not at all usable sadly.
Over on the MegaMek discord there's also a guy working on "Mega strike" which is an Alpha Strike port to the mega mek environment on 2D hex maps. There's good fan projects out there.
@@maroonmattadoor5022 oh wow. That is pretty cool! I like megamek well enough but the 3d models and animations in this are like... leaps and bounds ahead lol. It really helps put me into the game, ya know?
Love it! Alphastrike being the twin system to the lesser known Battleforce game (where the alpha strike stats originated) getting a computer game is way over due. If there was a way to couple your system with the strategic Battleforce game, then players can finally do larger scale games. ie, your battleboard could represent 1 hex on a strategic Battleforce map.
@@boateye same that's where I saw it! He's definitely making something great! I desperately want SFX lol. My mind missed the little whoosh of missiles and BWOOOM of lasers.
It looks great! Love the effects and animations, and I like how it has the armor/structure pips and the movement dice right about the Mechs. I do hope the dev continues to develop this, as a dedicated Alpha Strike app would be amazing. That said, I DO have an acquaintance who created a mod for Table Top Simulator(Steam) for Alpha Strike. It's not as flashy or polished of a UI as this game, but it has 3d models & terrain that can be movedaround as well as AS Cards for many Mechs. It's a bit more manual in how you have to interact with it, but it's perfectly playable. Def going to give this a shot!
@@TheManyVoicesVA For sure! You can usually get it for 50% off ($10) when it's on sale. Besides Alpha Strike, you can also play the Battletech CCG, among the thousands of non BT games.
@whitefoxplays oh Im aware haha. My introduction to Tabletop Battletech was Arthur Perkins of APGamingReal. He ran several Battletech campaigns in TTS and the tables and everything looked very nice. It's just lots of work since as you say, TTS often has physical sheets and stuff which are a bit finnicky. I like Megamek because it's so fast. All the dice and stuff are rolled for you.

used to love that about BF2, running planitary assault scenarios and such!
I saw this guy's OP on Reddit. Haven't tried it yet but it looks better and better!

Full star of Bane 3s (and spotters) behind building on your starting area. That's the Sigma Strike grind set!
@@A88mph good lord lol. Ya the missile boat meme lord over here lol...
@@TheManyVoicesVA It really is the most broken unit in AS. (Good thing it's very costly, especially with better skill pilots)
That looks fantastic. Fan Battletech game reaches 2010's graphics 😊

Neat, a new medium to drown enemies in waves of HBestKs

Oh this is cool, I don't have a Battletech scene out where I live.
Hopefully CGL doesn't throw a GW style fit...
@@androssthered1157 that was my concern as well lol. As long as it's not monetized hopefully they are ok with it.
For online play with alpha strike there is a great TTS mod
TTS is amazing but not everyone uses it. I really should get it at some point tho haha.
I can try playing alphastrike now.
