    Lessons learned. Hire editor. When vacationing- spend at least a week for yourself then a week working & shooting. Don't get SO wrapped up in your channel. Take full RUclips, social media , everything breaks every so often.

    To anyone saying she is complaining and she has an easier job.

    Guys she's not saying that her job it worse that other jobs, actually it's the complete opposite she's saying how lucky she is for having this job, but that it's just not as easygoing and relaxed as everyone thinks it is and that you shouldn't be hating and saying "it's so much easier than other jobs so why are you complaining?".
    Yes there are probably harder jobs, but she wasn't saying that there weren't.

    Comparison is the thief of joy. Stop comparing your life and hardships to these people. Are they out of touch in some ways? Probably. But all they know is their reality and all you know is yours, and you’re both allowed to complain about facets of your life, even if you are blessed and grateful. There’s nothing wrong with a little honesty. There’s always going to be someone worse off than you are, looking at you and telling you to be grateful. We should let that humble us, but give each other room to breathe and feel how we feel.

    I feel like people completely forget how rich she is because of youtube. She is a millionaire, if not multi millionaire. And if we as subscribers make her so rich, i think we can expect her to work hard, which she does. And like everyone who has a job, she should have some free time every year. But I still think this job is waaaay better than a lot of other jobs out there, yes its hard sometimes, but she gets sooo much money for it, other jobs are harder and people don‘t get neeeearly as much money as she does. So if you like the influencer job, then it is awesome, and she knows that. But everyone can get a crisis in their life, thats what it was...

      I actually don't really feel sorry because these people COULD slow it down with all that success and money. It's like in other jobs, when people are successful they often want more and more and neglect their health and relationships even though they COULD take breaks and take it slower or get way more help at that point.

    this should definitely have more views!! Ive been wanting to start a channel for now 5 years but I can't even find the time or energy to post video edits or edit my instagram posts. I give a lot of credit to all you tubers out there and seeing how so many have had these breakdowns and breaks taken(James Charles, Alisha, etc) proves how stressful it can be. Yes it seems like an extremely fun job and getting to meet all these cool people even those who you've looked up to and getting once in a lifetime opportunities is amazing..but this is a behind the scenes on the process. I FREQUENTLY tell my parens.. "ohhh I don't even know if im going to go to college" or "im going to become a social media influencer and not have to do any of this work or deal with this or worrying about buying something expensive" etc.
    ^^but virtual hugs to anyone that actually read that..😂🤷🏼‍♀️

    I get that being an influencer is hard and you want to show that it isn't as easy as people believe it to be. I applaud that. But on the other hand I feel like you have so much more freedom being an influencer. When working in an office or doing physical labor; you only get a few days or weeks of from work and social life is a struggle. I understand that the influencers want to show the viewers it isn't as easy as it seems but don't go to far.. I mean every job has it's deadlines. If you have to give a big presentation you can alse be busy with preperations for daaaays while people only see a 15 minute presentation. That's life

    Creating videos becomes such a tricky and frustrating thing when you know you have to try and beat the algorithm. I've watched my video quality and effort go from being really creative and well put together to thinking "eh this video isn't great but I need to get something up." I've given up on my channel sooooooo many times because the videos I felt were the most creative performed so poorly. And now that literally EVERYTHING has been done, it's so much harder for creators to create. For creators like you guys, where this is your full time job, I can totally understand the level of stress this brings. I think it's important to remember why you started this all in the first place. Making videos you like. But I really appreciated this video! Thank you (:

    I appreciate what this video was trying to portray, and I think a lot of us don’t really get what it means to be a social influencer where you are constantly online pushing out content and selling yourself to brands and people to get views and promotions. That being said, I don’t know that this video was really able to get that point across. The way it was edited and the things the people said in it were choppy and it didn’t flow together. I think it would have been better to sit down with one or two of these influencers and let us hear you discuss with them in a less edited conversation the cons to your jobs. Unfortunately the way this video comes across just makes it sound like everyone is complaining. I don’t think anyone meant to, but that’s what it sounded like. We aren’t really able to grasp what the hard parts are because it jumps around too much. Hope that makes sense. I appreciate the hard work that you put into your channels and based off of what you and a lot of others have said, living on social media is almost like living a double life and that would be draining on anyone. Maybe it isn’t the same as being a doctor or working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t hard, and I think it is fine to try to explain to people why you needed that break and why it can be hard to come up with content and get it out there. Anyways, I look forward to seeing more videos and I hope this comes across as constructive criticism and encouragement and not as a negative comment.

    Any job has it good and bad parts. Just remember some people in their jobs are working ridiculous hours and do not turn off once being finished for the day, or don’t get paid for their time, or are run into the ground, physically and mentally. It’s a job, just like any other. But you’re able to feed yourself and have a roof over your head so it’s better than what a lot of people in the world have. Some people put in hours and hours of work and effort for standard pay, no rewards and certainly no trips away. Be thankful for whatever you have, always.

    I get that being a youtuber is hard because it is time consuming and there's a lot of pressure to get the numbers you want/need. However, when I think of students that get out of bed at 7 am, go in class for hours, study all night long for exams, get stressed about grades, sleep deprived, work part-time or full-time, can't take days off, don't make 1/4 of the money that an influencer makes, I realize that this video could have been made for any career or any situation. If you compare the incomes and benefice of being an influencer VS the incomes and benefice of most jobs based on the sacrifices, efforts and energy put into the work, you, influencers are in a pretty good place.

    I totally get that there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that we don’t see, but this isn’t the only job that takes an insane amount of work, or the only job that people loose nights of sleep over or have to make sacrifices for. And for pretty much everyone else, they can’t just take 3 months off whenever they want to.

    Thank you Alisha for giving us a perspective of you creators, and we can recognize the hard work y'all put into making content. BUT you tubers can choose to take breaks, in other jobs you can't just freely stop and tell your boss "I'm gonna rest for a few months, but when I come back (whenever that is) it'll be like that never happen and I'll still get paid." A lot of jobs effect your time and relationship more than you’d want. So ya'll have the option to take breaks and can’t actually get fired. You also basically need zero education to be a youtube star, and you can decide when you upload or when something is due. Other jobs you need to studying get a degree, and then get hired, and then someone else (like a boss) gives you a deadline of when things are due. I understand being "self employed" is hard and you need to be disciplined, but the pressure is way worse. (TBH we really don't care if you upload a day late, and you won't get in trouble if you do.) These are just a few examples, and all I'm trying to say is, y'all have it WAYYYYY better then some people do. Thank You for reading my rant.

    This is so true, RUclipsrs do so much and have so many different skills and they do it pretty much all by themselves. People watch RUclips like they watch TV shows but shows have so many people working on them, you can tell by the credits at the end. They have producers, writers, make up people, lighting, sound, camera people, directors, marketing, editors, etc and youtubers do all that and more by themselves, I can't even imagine the level of pressure to post weekly let alone couple times a week, also most people get weekends off to recharge but youtubers work 7 days a week

    i honestly love alisha so much and i think it was interesting to see the other side of this but i disagree with so much of what she said. yeah, i understand that it can be difficult and that people expect a lot from you. but honestly youtubers have it so much better than so many other occupations. not everyone can just take breaks whenever they want (while still making a ton of money!), get a BUNCH of free stuff, go on fully paid trips, etc etc. some people work twice as long and twice as hard and don’t make nearly as much as youtubers do. i just don’t think it’s right for youtubers to complain when they can just take a break and, although there will be haters, most of their fans DO understand. i read the comments on Alisha’s videos where she said she’d be taking a break, and SO many of the comments were super positive. people are more understanding than youtubers give them credit for, and they can just take a break whenever they need! while still making money!

    • @user-sq2px5pb2s
      @user-sq2px5pb2s 5 лет назад +1

      i’m not saying thinking of video ideas and editing and all that stuff is easy. i know it’s not and i’m not saying i could do it. but it’s THEIR choice to pursue this career. if they don’t want to, go to college and get a degree in something they’re passionate about. but instead some (not all! a lot are really grateful!) complain about how hard it is when they have it infinitely better than most people.

    • @zaewhitman9913
      @zaewhitman9913 5 лет назад

      Alisha and other youtubers have the right to talk about their careers! They aren’t complaining as they are very thankful for the job BUT it’s not about free trips and free stuff. They have a difficult job and it’s a lot of work. I was actually just talking about my job and I was having a what the hell am I doing with my life moment? It’s normal to talk about their careers and are you a RUclipsr? You don’t know how “easy it is. We’re all humans and they have feelings about their careers. I personally learned a lot about their careers. I think people are just so sensitive now at days about everything. It’s just as stressful as any job and I’m glad they shared about alll the hard work that goes into it. Really enjoyed this video! Excited for more of her content. Let’s be supportive of Alisha and this journey she’s going on. She’s being open and honest about her life and I love it!

    • @user-sq2px5pb2s
      @user-sq2px5pb2s 5 лет назад

      Zae Whitman yeah i agree with you! i’m definitely not saying it’s easy, i know it’s not. i just think they should understand that most of the time, their fans are very supporting if they need a break or something. although there’s always gonna be haters, their true fans with stick with them through the tough times. i know it can’t be easy to put your whole life on the internet, i just don’t think they get that that’s THEIR choice. if they truly wanted to stop they could go get another job. most people with a 9-5 job can’t just take a two month break whenever they want, which is alright because the people that choose those jobs understand that. i just wish youtubers would see that they have it better than many other occupations. i’m not saying it’s easy in general, but it’s easier than other jobs

    • @zaewhitman9913
      @zaewhitman9913 5 лет назад

      melina rose I understand what you’re saying but I think it’s wrong to try to tell people how they should feel about their own job. Yes their true fans will stick with them but it’s still hard to leave. And they could stop but it’s their passion and they love it. They aren’t saying “our jobs are so much harder than everyone else’s” they’re just simply talking about it. Like I said they can talk about their job if they want. I just don’t think everyone should be taking this very seriously. I’m a college student and the only thing I do is go to school. I’m very thankful that I don’t have to work. Does that mean I can’t talk about how stressful school is and stuff? I had a summer job so I just recently was talking about how stressful that was. It’s literally no different it’s jus because they’re youtubers they shouldn’t talk about their jobs because they can talk off for a whole month? Yes that’s a privilege but again that doesn’t mean that they don’t have feelings about it.
