Well NME sells monster's, Machines and home amenities (Like hot sauce or cook books) comes free of charge. Heavy Lobster is more of a machine than a monster so it falls in line with company policy.
If the original game is any indication, it's a feral war machine they don't really have any control over. The moment they deployed it, it tore through the Halberd and basically gutted it.

Nope! Like Godzilla in the original movie, many of us are secretly cheering the monster on as they go on their rampage! In fact, I was just posting in an argument about whether or not this guy or Crush Claw would win. I linked to this video to give my opponent an idea of this thing's strength.
To be honest I kind of prefer the walking a little bit. I would prefer if they had used both walking animations and gliding animations. I guess I like the walking because it creates this sense of fear because this giant metal lobster robot is shaking the very floor just by taking a step as it walks towards you trying to destroy you. Yet the gliding is also terrifying because now it's somehow faster than a car and it's still chasing you.
To be fair it did have that glide ability in the games, and the fact that it use it almost exclusively in the anime shows how less restrained it was than in the game. Sure if it walked menacingly it would be cool but heavy lobster simply wanted to destroy anything in its path as fast as possible

With Meta Knight being inexplicably Spanish and Blade Knight sounding like a Californian surfer dude, they really just threw in whatever accents they felt like, didn't they? One of the charms of dubs of the era. Reminds me of Joey Wheeler sounding like he's from Brooklyn for no reason.
Funny thing, chances are that even if Heavy Lobster thawed out, it would be nonfunctional, all that ice, then melting into water, it would absolutely destroy the mechanical parts and leave Heavy Lobster as a giant centerpiece, just like Kawasaki wanted
Now that you mention it, I think Heavy Lobster would have been a much better boss of Egg Engines then that lame disappointing battle with Metal General, yea it has a giant robot, but THATS only in the EX version.
I'm going to guess that they swapped out the flamethrower for the Laser cannons, since they anticipated that the latter would be more helpful in melting through the various blast doors Heavy Lobster would inevitably be faced with.

When I was younger, I loved this heavy lobster segment but I was always angry for one tiny reason. "Kirby! Just suck up the lasers" Was my constant yapping towards the screen, I always wanted kirby to just become Idk laser kirby but Nooo the animators didn't do that, either way fun episode
One of the few things that annoyed me about the anime was how Heavy Lobster wasn't one Meta Knight's side like in the games. But they still did a good job on making Heavy look like a beast though.

There's two things I always loved about the show.
1-Meta Knight had a spanish accent.
2-Kirby was the only one in 3d.
This show is a 10/10 for me except i hated how kirby and king dedede were cgi for no reason
