Great reporting; I live near the Aero fire.
I never left my house. I watched the aero fire burn the entire ridge. Copper cove is fine. Just a little smokey

this is some of the best reporting I've watched in years. Informative, crammed full of useful information, and the reporter took the time to learn the proper pronunciation. Excellent!

While the information related by Cal fire was accurate.
I can absolutely assure you that she did not take the time to learn the pronunciations of the names up here.
She stumbled on the name of our town but most notably
butchered one of our major roads O'BYRNES'S Ferry is pronounced O'BURNS, NOT
O'BRIAN.
if your going to compliment some on their pronunciations, I strongly suggest YOU know what your talking about.
BTW I was one of the people in that shelter.
In spite of the majority of people NOT wanting to be filmed.... to get that short clip of the door the had the camera aimed AT the door for 5-10 minutes!
That meant people who slept in their vehicles & the people who stayed inside where forced to choose between being filmed or doing things like checking animals,using the facilities ect.
I know that they did not show any of us in the report, BUT once you are filmed in a public place that particular image NO LONGER belongs to you.
They did not have to keep the camera on the door.
There were plenty of other evacuation things there to use as filler
And just where exactly did this fire come from? It hasn't even hit 100, it takes about 400 degrees to set off kindling, oh by the way the state gov't always asks for federal emergeny funding anytime these "wildfires" come around, usually getting hundreds of millions of dollars

EV'S would start a fire just the same, maybe quicker. Word on the street is a welder accidently started fire. The power was out in this area since 4 or 5 yesterday and just came back on not long ago. The power goes out pretty often. And you want me to depend on EV's. Not until this country is ready for. We are far from that. Fjb
