    You always make me hungry when I watch enjoy your foraging. Especially when you have a catch and cook. Never ever tried or seen anyone cook deep-fried Abalone. Looks really yum. 👍💯👍💯👍💯

    Another great video out on the beach foraging, then cooking. Some amazing creatures along the way with a plentiful supply of lobsters for the late spring. Yes you work hard to get the ormers so you deserve the spoils, thanks for posting.

    Hi Jay, to make it extra crunchie after dipping it in the beer batter then dip it in the panko breadcrumbs, and cook in the hot oil straight away.
    I used to work in a chicken shop that did this in my younger days, they dipped the tenderloin in the batter then the breadcrumbs and then straight into hot oil. They sold quicker than any other chicken pieces.

    I really appreciate you making the effort and braving the cold, I have had hands so cold I had to use a pair of pliers to open my fly when the need occured. Keep a pair handy!

    Sam is like an orma jedi at the moment,using the force to get them.looks like the Larry's are doing the same also.some fine lobsters in that area.well worth heading back there again.i had just ate a nice take away,but seeing you cook them orma's made me hungry again.weill done lads.

    It looks really cold where you and Sam are. So cold here in New York. Too icy for me. Always impressed by your knowledge of the Latin names for the different species. I taught a semester of marine biology many years ago before there was your channel. I know that my students would have enjoyed it. Great video. Stay warm!

    if you pressure cook abalone with some salty water, sake(or white wine), and some kombu(or any other seaweed) for 2 hours, they got extra tender :D

    Slice them in half horizontally, dip them in flour, egg and panko bread crumbs.... Or smashed up chilli tortilla chips. I believe a well known brand starting with D makes them. Then make up a cream cheese and chive dip for them.

    Hey smash! Why is it you can’t keep the Larry’s while they are soft? Just wondering if you may have received the package I sent out? I’m guessing not yet seeing you haven’t did a catch and cook with it yet. Maybe due to the corona it’s taking a little longer than expected. Hope you get it soon. As always I enjoy the videos!!!

    Excellent as always smash! What beer do you use for your batter? I use Newcastle brown ale or any dark ale gives a lovely crispy batter and a beautiful taste! Great content as per stay safe! 👌

    Great vid Smash. Ormers taste great but not tried the beer batter. I usually fry mine in a little olive oil and lemon juice. Shame about the Lobsters. That would have been a helluva cook up. Keep safe mate.

    How come you can't keep the soft lobsters? How long does it take for the shells to harden? Absolutely love your videos!!!

      They don’t taste nice , it takes about a week for the shell to harden properly
