I grabbed some cheap wireless ear buds that are similar in style to airpods. I wasn't even thinking and they are too big for my ears. They just slide out and I can't hear my content. I tried this trick but the stem is too long to fit in my ear that way. However, putting the right bud in my left ear upside down in itself makes the bud stay better. So your tip still helped. Now I just gotta scrape up the cash to buy a new set of Galaxy Buds. I loved them, but managed to lose them.
They are crap. Between the fit and sound I could buy a pair of $30 ear buds that are much better. I have the 2nd generation which are not worth $20. Before this I owned a pair of nice earbuds bought on Amazon. They fit very tight and had amazing sound. Then I lost them in an airport.
This is brilliant! I have always shied away from these type of headphones bc they ALWAYS fall out. So over the years I invested in over-ear headphones. Then I grew my hair out and I hated the flattened look that resulted from those head phones (for context, I have a huge afro now). I bit the bullet and finally got these bad boys, and when I tell you this worked!! Forever thankful to creative minds lol

I have an earpiece accessory with my AirPod that secures it into the ear tightly but over time the silicone has gotten worn down to wear it pops in my ear whenever I run so this HELPED so much, it secures the silicone ear piece ( I got big ears ) and also makes sure nothing falls out

I am the true test, I am an average ear sized individual who sports the occasional Beanie hat/Hoodie/Bandana, and I fix the sides of my hair a lot, asides that I do a job where im working on my feet for 10 hours in a no music policy on the floor workplace, asides from that before this video I was constantly having to adjust my airpods in secret every 5-10 mins or whenever the walking and bending takes it toll on the airpods, ever since trying this, I barely adjust my airpods but still it will fall out here and their so ive accepted that but this way definitely helps out a more active listener.
Nice hack! The only problem I see is that AirPods (like all earphones) have a dedicated right and left channel. So you are going to be hearing things switched. Not a problem for some things. But if you are using your AirPods to watch a video or movie the train moving from right to left on the screen is going to sound like it's moving left to right! 😳

Dude, I have been on a whole journey here with ear buds. I saw the picture of you having these on upside down and I had a feeling may actually be helpful. I bought the little covers thinking it was probably not gonna work and they didn't, I was thinking of returning them even thought I really wanted these to work. I'm thinking, "come on Apple, really??" And there are so many videos of people that have ears that work with these and they are doing the whole shake test- so annoying because all they are doing is showing that they these work in their particular ears. It's so not helpful to people that are having a problem. Anyway, I have these in right now and did the upside down and switch L one to right ear and vice versa, it's not fitting perfectly at the top but I went on a walk with the dogs. They have not fallen out thus far and that never happens. I actually bought earmuffs to wear over them to keep them in but then realized quickly that is not going to go so well in summer. Also I've tried other ear buds prior to these that fell out and decided that maybe Apple's won't. I have a few friends that are like- they totally stay in. So my husband bought them for me for Christmas. I think your video here is the hack I needed. So crazy. I'm gonna keep them in and see how long it works but I think this is solution. You said your 9 year old can do it this way. I think my ears are small and that's the thing. Works... but doesn’t each earbud have designated Right and Left sounds? So putting a right bud in the left ear, you will hear the right sound in the left ear and vice versa?
I am an old guy who goes to cardiac and pulmonary rehab; I just got some airpod knock offs at walmart and they're always falling out when I'm on the treadmill and the nustep cardio machine. This is the greatest, it works perfectly. Not only do they fit better but the volume is louder because they fit better. You are the Man, Thank You!

Airpods 2nd gen fits like a glove however upside make it more secure. Airpods 3 fit much better fit upside down.(much worst fit than the 2nd gen) I think my ears canal is pointed slightly up

Maybe they were designed to fit that way but the marketing engineers were too focused on inclusion and diversity they forgot to show users how they are supposed to fit. Frankly I hate mine. Poor fit and sound quality.
