I personally worked at a big MNC ( I won't disclose it) after doing MBA..The working hours were like 10:00 am in the morning to 12:00 Am sometimes even 1:00 Am during month end at office. Apart from office days, I also had Rigorous field Visits ( Atleast 13 days a month), atleast 150 phone calls on an average per day and sometimes even have to work on Sunday. The CTC was around 12 lacs. Now this is what a pathetic work life looks like.14 hrs at an office, endless market visits. I literally forgot the last time I had dinner at my home with my family because I always reached home after 12 am. So coming to the point Work Pressure related to Bank PO is highly subjective. For me PO has far better work life balance as compared to my previous job.. So, whoever is reading this comment first instrospect yourself and then make a judgement.

Neither Bank job nor Corporate job can be classified as good or bad as a generalization. It depends on the Bank & branch for PSBs and individual Company work culture. I have personally experienced working in a large Commercial branch with Industrial finance and timings from morning to 9.00 pm and back home 2 hrs to commute. Had to do sittings even on 2nd October National Holiday. However later I also worked in branch where staff left for home @7 pm regularly. As for Corporate i have met many employees who were very happy with their jobs as Company used to provide good work life balance. However some people were in toxic workplace with lot of pressure & office politics. So nothing can't be generalized.

M happy that you r happy.. but bank mei chargesheet cbi enquiry plus u don't know colleague usne fraud kar dia toh u will get framed and may get suspended.. now in my current branch previous all staff got chargesheet because a clerical having power to debit account upto 20k debited various accounts and took money by fraud.. being officer they got chargesheeted... Now just imagine he took money from customer who r illiterate voucher is there.. how would officer know if clerical is doing fraud.... I was also working in pvt reputed MNC work timing including travelling was 14 hrs.. but I was happy.. I was working for myself and earning more and was recognition but not getting punished for someone's fraud.

He is not demotivating. Rather, He is trying to show the reality of bank jobs from an employee's perspective. We compete with lakhs of banking exam aspirants expecting after clearing all this I will live a peaceful and respectable life. But, Reality hits when you are continuously pressurized to achieve your weekly, monthly, and annual, targets for different financial products of third-party companies to whom you don't owe anything.
Bank jobs are good but for those who are in desperate need of a job due to financial conditions or in their late 20s. Apart from these two factors you can only survive in banking if you keep your expectations low and are ready to do anything for your organization, in that case, you can join any private company or bank they will ask you for the same and the growth opportunity is much higher there.
Shared this as an experienced former banker and current aspirant of RBI Grade B and other regulatory bodies.

    BANKING IS JUST SALES
I have a family of bankers, 3 of us are in government, 2 were in private. None are good. It's a suffocated life. You are talking about just transfers and notice if we didn't perform, I have seen my regional head screaming on the branch head just because of the mere target, so much that he cried. You must be thinking he was weak. No. He wasn't. It's like hierarchy our branch head used to scream at us, we used to cry too. I remember one day doors were closed because we didn't achieve our target. I used to leave home at 8:15 am and come back after 9:30 pm. Everyday! These days weren't even closing time.
Just it, if you all want to prepare for the exams there is nothing wrong. If you are good at SALES, definitely go. But if not you will sacrifice your work life balance and peace of mind.

You will definitely do well in banks. If you are a banking aspirant, go for it. If you are already selected, I can see you have job satisfaction which is rare but really good thing.
For us, it is unbearable and we are trying another way to get out of it.

Now the ridiculous target culture in banking industry would ruin the trustworthiness of customer and lives of employees as employees would resort to unethical practices to achieve such disgusting targets. This culture is like a virus which till now was peak at private sector but now also affecting public sector banks. Transfers and deputations have become tool of vengeance. Taking care of ego of higher officials carry much higher weightage in your promotion. And this culture is getting increased in magnitude day by day.

A lot depends on how well your managers are and how well you tackle the bad managers. I have seldom finished most of the targets and never gave a heck bout insurance selling.

Apne yeh bhi bola ki bank mein ghusne ne bad pata chalega ki yeh wo jaga nahi hai jisme aap rehna chahte ho, yeh apke liye ho sakte lekin sabhi ke liye aisa hi hoga yeh aap kaise bol sakte ho?
Agar banda jobless hai, employment nahi hai, income nahi hai ,,isse achha toh job-pressure hai na!!! Aur insaan ka expectations ki bare mein Kya hi bolna!!! Iska toh koyi limit hi nahi hai..pehle Chahiye Hota hai, sirf ek job pvt ho ya govt,Agar pvt mile toh firr govt job, then salary, then home state then home town then work from home ho toh aur bhi badiya..
Dekha jaye toh log ajkal IAS IPS se bhi resign kar deta hai toh kya isse puri UPSC kharab hai? Usko satisfaction nahi mila toh kya sabhi ko same hi hoga?? Sabse badi baat apne sirf ek side ko dikhaya hai iss video mein, jo aspirants ko bohot zyada demotivate karega...baat hai job stability aur job security ka.. india mein kitne aise job hai jisme apki organisation starting se hi apko 60+ salary dega aur lease accomodation aur incentives alag se?? Ap puri youth ko jo bank job mein interest rakhte hai unka moral down kiye ho iss video mein aur misguide bhi, sirf negative negative aur negative wo bhi tab jab apka khudka 5 saal ka bhi job karne ka experience nahi hai...banda jab UPSC ka preparation karta hai na tabse hi uska mental preparation start ho jata hai, lbsaana mein jane ka bad mein start nahi hota.. toh banking aspirants ko bhi preparation phase se hi prepare hona chahiye jo jo challenges milenge bank mein jane ke baad usko face karne na ..jo apka nahi tha sayad, isliye zyada din tik nahi paye ap..
Covid ke time, jo log bade bade company mein 50k se 1 lakh tak ka salary pate the, un logo ka bhi naukri chala Gaya…manta hu ki bank walo ko COVID ke time bhi office jana pada, kam karna pada, Lekin naukri toh nahi gaya Na!!! Life mein sabhi ko koyi bhi headache pasand nahi hoti hai, ekdam relax aur Aram zindagi pasand hai…Kabhi Govt Hospital ke Dr aur Army walo se baat karke dekhna…kinta challenges hota hai..
Banking ek Aisa sector hai Jo sabhi stream ke logo ko equal opportunity deta hai, employment ka mauka deta hai, iska recruitment process bhi ekdam fast, fare aur transparent hai, ratti bhar bhi partiality or biasness nahi hai, lekin log job Milne ke bad issi banking ko gaali dete hai, toh firr aate ho kyu bhai..
    All my dear Banking aspirants..
Always keep in mind that, job pressure is better than no job/unemployment. Aur ek baat add karna chahungi banking aspirants ke liye, job Milne ke pehle aap ek aspirants ho..lekin job Milne ke baad aap papers mein aur designation mein toh ek officer ho, lekin real life mein aap ek public servant ho..so be ready for sacrificing a lot of things of your life.
