I just want to write one more thing: someone during the preview wrote that when he's happy and listens to post-rock, then he feels sad.
I think many post-rock bands are very melancholy, but not necessarily sad.
And, as Hippocrates said, melancholy is the state of mind that more than any other comes closer to peace and to stillness.
Here, I don't feel sad when listening to post-rock.
I feel melancholy, I feel calm, I feel at peace. I feel good.

Melancholy is a state of low mood.
Melancholy is over thought, prolonged and can be caused by any reason regardless of its the magnitude. It's a very personal, heavy weighing sadness. It has similar characteristics with depression however, melancholy is an insidious sadness.
It was often depicted as a sweet sadness or "beautiful sadness", probably because of romantism at a time. This going to the extremes sometimes of describing it as a "happy sadness"... well, you're either happy or sad, and if you're in between, you're in between, not both at the same time.
If you're melancholic and you're feeling at peace, and you even feel good, I'm sorry to break it to you, but then it's not melancholy that affects you.
Or it's the kind of blurry state of sadness that comes with dreams about things being different.
But dude. Melancholy is just a subgenre of sadness. If you're not sad, if you have no sadness in you, you're not melancholic.
The main different is that sadness is an emotion, while melancholy is a state of mind. It means you can be sad for five minutes and then it stops. Melancholy stays at least for days, if not for way longer, and it can often lead to mental issues.
      Have a nice day.

      @ AGKyran
      Thanks for the comment.
I didn't write anything about "happy sadness" or "beautiful sadness", because I don't believe it.
It would be like saying "I'm happy to be sad".
When I'm happy, I'm happy and that's it, just like when I'm sad. On this I agree with you.
However, I repeat what I wrote in the other comment, in other words.
It is important for me to realize that there are infinite possible nuances to make a canvas.
When I'm melancholy, like now, I'm not sad. When I'm melancholy, I'm not happy. I am simply melancholy.
When I think and see the wickedness in the world, wars, rapes, greed, injustices, vivisection, animals and humans being killed with cruelty, when mother nature is despised, I feel sad.
When I see and think about the people who do good, who fight for the good of all on this earth, who trying to do something that goes beyond one's personal good, beyond one's own garden, I feel happy.
But both happiness and sadness pass quickly.
Most of the time, I feel melancholy. I feel melancholy because I miss the people I love, both those who died and those who are still alive but who I can no longer see, touch, embrace, caress. I feel melancholy because I miss the animals that are my companions have been in the past, and now I'm not here anymore.
Their absence no longer gives me sadness, as they once did. It gives me melancholy. Because I know I love them, and I don't want anything in return for it. I just love them. I will always love them. This makes me melancholy.
I feel melancholy because I see that human beings sometimes pay more attention to their personal interest than to the good of all. Sometimes we call love the achievement of our personal purpose, the possession of someone or something, we ask for love but are unwilling to give love. Sometimes we love with calculation, not for free. We love but with reserve, not totally. We love waiting for something in return. Often we do not feel love simply by giving. We want something. We want to get something.
I feel melancholy because I see that we are not all well on this planet. There are millions of human beings, animals, plants that suffer because of ignorance or the wickedness of others. All this once made me sad. Now it just makes me melancholy.
I feel melancholy because I know we could do a lot better than we are doing. We could all love each other better. We could all love each other more.
And when I feel melancholy, I don't necessarily feel sad. Sometimes, on the contrary, I feel the selfish joy of the inner peace that this melancholy gives me. I accept suffering, which is real and inevitable, and accepting me means recognizing myself for what I am.
Personally, I think more about death than happiness. I'm not interested in being necessarily a happy person. I want to be a person at peace with herself. This is why I often think of death: it is the only thing that unites us all, all of us, on this earth. If thinking about death made me sad, or depressed me, it would mean that I can't accept life for what it is. Instead, I am learning to accept, to be grateful, more compassionate, more good.
      This too gives me peace.
And if I am at peace, it means that I am not fought by internal wars. If there are no conflicts in me, it means that I am well.
When I'm melancholy, I'm not sad, I'm not happy.
      I'm calm, I am serene, I'm tranquil, I'm quiet, I'm fine.
This is not the truth. I don't want to teach anyone anything. It's only what I think, what I feel, a point of view, one of the infinite nuances that exist, in addition to white and black.
I wish you a splendid life, to you and to all the people you love.

@@heartlockd I'm gonna get back later to make a complete answer. But I understand your point of view. I nearly feel I was wrong to correct you, but if it's for having that kind of answer, it's not that wrong :D
I wish you a splendid life too, see you later :D

I will probably give this a listen sooner or later as I love the post rock genre, but for now: The terrible grammar in the title and thumbnail get on my nerves every time I see them. I really wish you'd said "listen to this" instead of "listen this".
