The upper radiator hose nipple breaking off due to it being brittle is the first indicator that the cooling system needs a refresh! Hit up FCP and go for a CSF upgraded aluminum radiator
Did you monitor coolant temps? Any temperature readings during any of the time?
Common BMW problem. Plastic reservoir coolant tank.

I hope, I hope, I hope, I'm wrong. Unless something silly went wrong like you forgot to tighten the drain plug. You might, might, might have blown the head gasket and all that boost on that second pull, blew past the cylinder wall/gasket or even cracked the block and its first path of least resistance was the coolant galleys. So I reallllly recommend when you top off that coolant. To grab one of those Combustion Leak Detector's for your coolant. It's 25 at harbor search 30 at the zone, "Engine Combustion Leak Detector". Not trying hate. Just a real possibility and this 30 or 25 could give you the peace of mind or save you from totaling the engine all together. Basically, it can't hurt. I hope it ends up giving you peace of mind. Please if anyone reads this. Like it a ton so he gets to see it.
Wouldn’t the coolant filler cap let go first. I know they used to be set at around 13psi and then the cap would lift. I would have thought the drain plug insert should take a lot more pressure than that.
@@davemorris6747 Definitely a possibility. Also the most logic. But something happening that fast under a ton of pressure. You just never know. The point was better safe then sorry. Also by your point, if it was just a coolant pressure issue why not the cap as well, or boil over? I doubt with all this ripping, and never seeing a leak. That his plug happened to be loose or anything. Again it’s just a better safe then sorry for 25 bucks.
No way you will burn headgasket with only 7psi, is just old system than need some work and parts replaced.
@@fabini14 all I’m saying is better safe then sorry. And “no way”? You have no idea how much this car was beaten before he bought it. How he’s been ripping it since, then adding additional power and psi. We don’t know if it’s had over heating issues before he bought it. If there’s already been a crappy head gasket replacement. We don’t know if he took it out and it was still slightly cold then ramped two good pulls. “No way” is a definite statement. There is plenty of ways and plenty of variables. You’re just looking at 7 psi. All I was saying is god for bid. Spend 25 bucks to confirm.

On my 335i I upgraded my radiator straight away to full aluminum instead of the plastic...just to be safe. Glad it wasn't something like the motor...glad ya'll r safe too nawmean
Wait hold on… are you buying parts from “FCP Euro” for the m3? Highly recommend it. Oem parts or OE parts for life time warranty on them. I still don’t know how that is possible but it’s true. :)

Good thing that happened, now you found another weak link to get a reliable 650HP, look out for these challenges, they make or break you, and with a positive, opportunistic mind, you'll find every detail that can interfere with that goal of 650. Think of it as a win Devin, find them all! all the weak links! and upgrade them as you go! Every time my car breaks down I say "FINALLY!", its been 2 years since shes running mint, 1 red line a day keep the mechanic away 😂😂😂

I’ve had multiple bmws they are fun and I highly recommend getting a new aluminum radiator because it’s going to last you a long time and if you don’t want to waste any money go to bmw Spokane and get the drain plug thing it’s really cheap and congrats on your success

You need some new hood shocks bro. They are way overpriced (oem), but there is a non BMW part number that has the proper valving for the M3 hood. It's on M3post.
