So here's a quick overview of Lake Kovd for those who are curious. TUZ 16 Actaeon and Ford F 750 reviews incoming, as well as some other Phase 1 DLC stuff. Hope you enjoy and apologies if a mistake snuck in, been a loooooong day.
3 things with this update on the PS4 1) The red blinky lights of the Internasty now work. 2) In Lake Covid-19, the Internasty is just mildly offensive. 3) At night, headlights, fog lights, off road lights, spotlights, etc make anything you point at glows so bright it is impossible to see ahead of you.
@@alexanderwren1732 hopefully when the delayed release due to the pandemic the bronco was supposed to release internationally this year at all auto shows but the pandemic caused it to be delayed to 2021. But I hope the bronco does have a raptor edition in the states it would make up for the lack of the ranger raptor here in the states. But then again the CEO of ford in the states wants the u.s. to be the prototype grounds for alternative energy vehicles. Needless to say Ford is regarding that decision now due to the lack of sales over the past 2 yrs.
Quick tip for you guys: before you go to the land behind the garage (since it has no watchtowers) get the mobile watchtower because it has a huge radius
I do actually quite like this map and it was almost worth the wait. It can be a bit desolate but that's what the mobile watchtower is for. Your the only person who had actually given me some inkling on how to get the damn thing. All in all, funish map, the vehicles are nice, the environment is pretty. Just wish there was a bit more communication from the devs.
Those cars at the end were Mercury Cougar Eliminators. I started the new map today, I'll make it a priority to get the new trailer and new trucks tomorrow.
As for me, the Ford F-750 is an OP vehicle, with too much repair addons, and the GMC MH9500 doesn't need AWD, because it already is the best highway truck due to a difflock. What does really need to have AWD, is WS 6900 Twin Steer.

Im not too happy that the unlock for the GMC is within a dlc. No base came content should be in the dlc. If i didnt buy the dlc but found the upgrade with a friend would i still get to use it when not on the new map.
Yes. And if you are on his map when you get trucks you keep them to. Just like every other vehicle and upgrade in the game. They are a smaller developer trying to pull money its not a pay to play or EA level robbery.
ONLY the host gets to keep found vehicles in multiplayer they also remain locked until u find them for yourself upgrades can be kept and used tho although this might be different for the dlc map I know in EVERY other map though you DO NOT get to keep vehicles unless you are the host and it DOESN'T matter who finds them
@@leoest1971 that's not true. If you find a vehicle in multiplayer, it get's unlocked in the shop. The same is with upgrades. At least it was like that at the beginning.

Or atleats make it avalible for players who dont have the dlc to get it, like add 1 task in alaska that makes you go to the port and it takes you to the new map to conplete the task but only that upgrade is the reward and nothing is in the map other than that task.
So it sounded as if it was part of this map but it seems to be you will bring it back from Afrikanda to this map. The split phase thing is making it harder to work out what's what.

I’m getting a mission message when I complete another telling me to “find the truck “ and the name of said mission is “the first truck” I have the entire map unlocked with the mobile watchtower trailer but the mission market is nowhere on the map.. does anyone know why this is happening? I feel like I’ve explored the map and don’t think I missed anything
That's odd. I know these days you have to physically visit the mission start marker as opposed to seeing it in the list. But if you've found it, that's weird. Maybe go back and restart it if you can? I can't remember the location of this mission sadly.
A Tribe Called Cars turns out I’m an idiot lol. That and the watchtower missions that were popping up were the very first missions from Michigan. For some reason those two first missions got restarted 🤔

you have to install it manually from the store. search for SR, select the "search & recover" DLC (it says its free if you have the season pass), download it (it´s basicall just unlocking it) and start the game. afte that it appears as a new map in the game.

Install the latest update, install the premium pass and also the Search & Recover DLC. Did you enter the code within the premium edition to unlock the season pass? I'm Xbox but I think at least one of those things should help.

A Tribe Called Cars Maybe my route needs redoing... I use a Voron Grad with the Highway transmission. You can pretty much max it in High Gear the whole way from the train station to the lumberyard. This XP method with the container delivery has been really helpful, I’m soooooo close to the Azov 42-20 Antarctic... so close

I wonder if the ice physics will drop you into a deep bit of the lake or just the shallow bits? Hmm. Car at the end is the new ford Bronco. Lwb model looks ugly though, should have just left it at the classic swb model.
The new trucks were kinda cool, but I don't currently really have a need for them. Especially the F 750, since its really underpowered without its engine upgrades. But in the Phase 1 overview trailer that Focus released, there were some new trucks that could be spotted. Looking forward to those. On a side note, I hope that Saber would add a DLC truck that can rival some of the other trucks in the game, because none of the current ones do (aside from the Navistar). The only problem if Saber does do this is that people are almost guaranteed to complain about how the game is 'pay-to-win.' I can see why this would seem the case, but I also don't want to pay for truck that I'm just inevitably going to sell. Also, that car at the end is a Tesla Model J.
I think giving each truck a purpose with more tasks will help with balance as it means you have to use lots of trucks instead of just one. You definitely can't please everyone.

I was hoping that the new maps would each be 8x8km, but the fact that they are only as large as the larger maps already in the game and the fact there are only going to be 2 maps is disappointing... The breakable ice is a cool idea though and I hope we will have a lot of potentially sticky or even catastrophic situatiins happening because of the ice.
Hey Alex. So it seemed as if the bomber would be in this part of phase 1, but it seems as if it will actually be in the next one. It's hard to keep track because of the split-DLC approach. Apologies for the confusion.
Pretty rough and unforgiving map I should say. I quickly realized that Tatarin is not that great anymore.... when it stuck in the ice....and there was nothing to attach the winch to. and then it stuck again.....in the deep snow....yes yes, deeeeep snow

getting the ford was a pain in the neck for me i flipped my tuz on the side on a mountain but i had the offline winch so i was fine then came the cliff and finally the mud pit where the acteon spawns also not so fun fact kola is where the ussr tested tsar bomba. spintires chernobyl all over again thats alot of R A D I A T I O N
Kovd is a great name for this game, I mean all the life in Snowrunner is extinct . There's no Non playable cars moving on te roads . Not a single animal passing by . No human on any of it's maps. Everything is DEAD. There's no cutscenes , no voice over not a single proof of life. It's an extinct sandbox.

Agreed, decent map. The developers would help themselves by being more transparent. I think a long wait is better than an indefinite one.

This map is very tough. I scouted the while map in a Fleetstar and a Navistar just so I could acquire all the upgrades and the vehicles.
The Navistar is surprisingly good in Lake Kovd.
The car at the end was definitely either a Nissan micra or a Toyota prius
maybe even a Vauxhall Corsa

Needs to attach to a scout with a trailer hook then go into the function menu and press the option to use it. It uses fuel so keep an eye on that.

You just travel there in the global map if you have the Season Pass.

I was hoping that the new maps would each be 8x8km, but the fact that they are only as large as the larger maps already in the game and the fact there are only going to be 2 maps is disappointing... The breakable ice is a cool idea though and I hope we will have a lot of potentially sticky or even catastrophic situatiins happening because of the ice.
SpinTires, MudRunner and SnowRunner do not support maps larger than 2x2 kilometers...

Pretty rough and unforgiving map I should say. I quickly realized that Tatarin is not that great anymore.... when it stuck in the ice....and there was nothing to attach the winch to. and then it stuck again.....in the deep snow....yes yes, deeeeep snow

@@ATribeCalledCars Actually I was thinking to share that obvious idea lol. Maybe the best scout and tires (tyres) in particular, because it is about scouting mainly for now. I am revisiting my vehicle preferences due to few obvious reasons.

It's a long old trek to the Ford, not the easiest journey either. Think I used the Azov 73210 in the end.

Kovd is a great name for this game, I mean all the life in Snowrunner is extinct . There's no Non playable cars moving on te roads . Not a single animal passing by . No human on any of it's maps. Everything is DEAD. There's no cutscenes , no voice over not a single proof of life. It's an extinct sandbox.
It's a bit eerie at times. Maybe they should do a prequel that tells the story of why everyone has gone.
@@ATribeCalledCars a rabbit crossing the road, some birds flying up or some deer in the forrest would bring the game to life .The environment is amazing though.
