That 3 piece router bit set is awesome! I like how they have made 1 bit to do a few different cuts on the same pass. Saves a lot of time and bit challenging. Nice job on the doors. You always make this look so easy as I know it’s not.

I discovered this video after purchasing the Infinity router bit set, in fact I got the same one as shown here for a Shaker style profile. The video is super helpful. I do not have a drum sander so I am thinking that if I want to remove a bit more from the underside of the 1/4 round based on glass thickness I could do that with the slot cutting bit, I would first use it to remove a bit more wood, then reset the height and fence for the side cut to remove the 1/4 round.
I've enjoyed this build. When I do cabinets I know will have under cab lighting, I try to get a light to cut a flush panel on the underside, just for that extra step that sets me apart from anyone else. Keep up the good work

Your Safety on the router table is not bad in any Case.
But in carpentry, i use the big brother of these things (Really, i dunno if they are called Router tables as well, they are similar but bigger...) and we never used Featherboards for something like that. There are a few cases where they get used, but i have not needed one yet.
Also, why do you use those grip things on the jointer? It would freak me out to not feel what the cutter head is doing.
Well done, Enjoyed the explanation for the choices and methods you used. And like all comments I have a question... why did you choose the HORRIBLE metal shelf strips? A few carefully placed holes would give you some adjust-ability for bottle heights, but those strips are just not in keeping with the craftsmanship of the piece. Always that one troll. Loved it. Take it as a challenge for next build.
Traditional shelf pins wouldn’t have been nearly strong enough to support the glass shelves and bottles. I personally don’t mind the look of shelf standards, but you could paint them black if you don’t like the look so they disappear more.

No, these are overlay doors so they overlap the edges of the cabinet.

Look great! Do you get any rattle with the glass only being held in with the strips? I always use a tiny bead of silicone to avoid any noise, but those strips really make it look amazing.

I kind of find it funny how he says the powermatic tools will last for years but he seems to always upgrade and get knew ones every couple of months I'm not saying they won't but it is something I have noticed
I have upgradeitis for sure, hah. I don’t see myself upgrading from the machines I have now, I just should have gotten the bigger planer and jointer to begin with!

I may have a problem. I keep pausing the video to look over your collection of alcohol rather than the details of this project. Also, Smuggler’s Cove! Great book.
Don't get me wrong, your videos are top notch- but for the weekend woodworker, near impossible to replicate. I don't have the money to spend on all the tools that sponsor you- and therein lies the issue. Each video has a sponsor that, understandably lets you produce such great content- but makes it hard for us "normal folk" to follow.
I appreciate that but also think the same techniques could be used with less expensive versions of the tools I have. A Dewalt planer and Powermatic planer both perform the same basic operation, one just gives a better surface finish and has a wider capacity, for example. I actually think this project is pretty accessible if you buy pre-milled lumber. A table saw, router table, drill, and sander would be the only major tools needed. You could flush up the glazing strips with a hand plane if you wanted, or even sand them flush with a random orbit. I’m sorry for the long reply, I just get kind of frustrated by this comment, because there are a million ways to do everything in woodworking. I wonder if Norm got the same kind of fan mail back in the day. 😂

With the expansion of solid wood, those doors will not last long.....
Millions of cabinet door are made with nothing but glue at the corner joints. It is too small an area to have a problem with wood movement.

Maybe in America, where they don't have furniture culture. But here in Italy, where the furniture has been made and exported all over the world for centuries, in the junctions it is customary to put wooden pins or mortises and tenons. Gluing dead is a wrong technique at the start that is usually used to save time or inexperience. If I offered a job to my client I would at least be taken for an amateur .....
Either spend 200k in woodworking machines or just get the cabinet made.
