    Not only did you use the same molding that I am but you ALSO installed it in a very similar peak angle that I have too! Nice job. Hope mine comes out just as good. Ty :)

    Great video! What I’m confused on still is why would it not have worked to keep cutting the crown upside down at 15 degrees?

    "SAWSET PROTRACTOR" is the most accurate miter finder out there. No Math. No gimmick.
    Do the comparison. Great for cutting on the flat.

    your 50 degree is really 52. a 38 degree spring angle. 38+ 52= 90 degree

      Read his channel name and it should be more like 38 + 52 = 90 degrees.

      Your comments show how little you understand about installing crown molding, which is difficult enough, but doing a peak angle is even harder. The cut he did here has nothing to do with the spring angle. It has to do with the change in direction from straight to sloping down 30 degrees. Nice work, #notahandyman!

    Simple angle divider tool should be in the apron of every finish carpenter., not only for crown but all kinds of trim molding.
    As a stairbuilder, I used mine constantly.

    I'm confused, how did 30 divide by 2 become 50 on the jig?

    • @anthonydelatorre9503

      Thought he said 15

    • @fev3rd
      @fev3rd Год назад

      Cause he rolled his crown to fit instead of using the spring angle of the crown. Also the proper angles of the wall.
