Great videos 👍, I’m also from NewZealand I come from a mx background currently on a 2019 KTM 250sx two stroke . Looking at buying a 2021 wr450 before the law change to be road legal aswell .Do you think this bike can be set up for mx and enduro?a lot of the reviews I’ve read say there a great all round bike similarities to yz450f? . Cheers
Hi Josh, it is my personal opinion that the WR450F is the most versatile bike in the Yamaha 450 line up. It can wear many hats and do many things. Unlike Euro brands the suspension is very supportive and could easily take in a MX track. Unless you are A grade fast and heavy I wouldn't bother changing a thing for MX. The power is whatever you want it to be thanks to the Power tuner. I've ridden all sorts of bikes over the years with all sorts of power deliveries but none that are as flexible as the WR. Don't like the power? Change it, still don't like it. Change it again. It's literally unlimited how many maps you can make. The biggest challenge for the WR is hard Enduro. That type of riding belongs to the two stroke. However when possible I've going to see if the WR can handle that two. I know of some brutal tracks in the area I normally ride on a KTM 300. The WR450F front brake takes some getting used too. It's evil good! Way stronger that the KTM Brembo I've had. I didn't expect that as Brembo has the name in brakes. True one finger stopping power. The 5 speed gear box was a worry in the WR before I purchased it as I was used to 6 speeds my whole life. Honestly I don't even notice. This thing has some long legs. You be a brave man to rev it out in top off road. I think it's geared for about 165kph out the box. I'm not 100% on that so don't quite me. Fast enough regardless. I see Yamaha have just knocked $1000 of the 2021 WR on run out. Good time to snap one up. Mine came from Yamaha motorcycle Whangarei. Great guys and girls there. Really helpful. You might have noticed the swing arm decal. Take care. Happy riding.
No. Really strict here. At level 4 only essential travel is allowed. To get food basically. Essential workers can travel for work. Other than that nothing else allowed. They closed the parks. They shut off the forest ranges with signs saying stay out. We have a whole list of banned activities here under level 4. Sure if you had a farm you could ride on your own property but even that is frowned upon due to accident risk. I'll have to be content with you tube videos and Netflix for now. First world problems. Lots of people have it much much worse for sure.
@@jasonshellop4840 no not cheap for sure. Sold my KTM 300 now, literally a week before lock down and splashed out on the Power Flow kit. I know some guys with YZ450F's who say very good things about the kits. Filter volume is certainly alot more than stock. Can't wait to try it..

You could travel to the supermarket on a superbike. That would still be ok. Not much good for shopping however. 😁
Unreal well I hope you can get out riding, that twin air kit is not cheap $478.00 canadian
