Very nice! Yes, a plan set would be good or a link to dimensions. Quite a bit of work, but what a fantastic result. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the video. Well done!
yep, no problem. all holes in gluing parts are cutting for largest engine size. there can be difficult with screwing nuts back... but I think it mustn't be problems with engine soon
Did you know, sir, that I watched this video more than 20 times and felt just pleasure and suspense. Thank you so much you are creative and inspiring. Thank you for your generosity, because you shared the plan
zurdok I would also like to know this. That is one of my main challenges in starting this project, or similar bandsaw, myself. I've seen people in other videos use old washing machine or clothes dryer motors, motors off other tools in their shop, and even hand drills for smaller ones. As a matter of fact, I actually thought the motor in this video was a repurposed handheld router untill about halfway through. To buy a motor seems expensive, at least for me, and I don't know what I need when it comes to power, rpm, or quality. Also, some people use a belt and pully drive as opposed to a straight drive; is the purpose in doing this simply to change the rpm or does it serve some other purpose? These are the questions that haunt me. I really love your video, especially the music. This is actually one of, if not "THE" best bandsaw build I've seen yet. It seems to be great quality and sturdily made with simpler design than a lot of others out there. I want to try this my soon. Bravo to you Sir! And have fun with your new toy/tool. PS: We never grow out of toys, they just get more expensive and dangerous.
right blade, lower rpm would do. instead of mounting the motor directly you can use a pulley system, which would allow you to use the saw for both wood and metal.
Great job! Amazing in its simplicity. As a beginner in the woodworking trade (as a hobby), I look forward to turning the making of this bandsaw into one of my first projects. What is the thickness of the plywood you used, ⅝", ¾" (16 mm, 19 mm)?
Amazing, can yo u provide the sketchup file, some diameter on pdf not apeare on it, Kike a diameter to adjust the upper wheel, i have a cuttin pieces but not finish for that
Good idea ..but a bit ironic! Cheap tool built with assistance of so many expensive tools !! If you can buy so many saws...why bother build a cheap band saw? USD 300 band saw is decent enough for light tasks.
Well done, excellent video, calm and precise easy to follow.
Very nice! Yes, a plan set would be good or a link to dimensions. Quite a bit of work, but what a fantastic result. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the video. Well done!
With the easy Tools you are using you are very precise. Awesome job!
From Vietnam: you really did it well! Liked and followed
Have you ever enjoyed good food? That's what I felt when I watched you build the machine so beautiful!
Thank you!
Very nice project, but please consider installing some blade and wheels guard. You ask for trouble.
Nice job, looks like it works pretty well.
Very good! There are drawings of the bandsaw?
Well I have some autocad side plans
nice work.
but can u change the engine after gluing?

Very good job, congratulations
great project...can you tell what is the depth of cut for this bandsaw?
It's about 120mm
Very nice job. Just a question, is the band saw blande 1900mm lengh?
Hi, can u tell me size of blade saw? 8" or 14" or... thanks
Hi, check out description, there is draft with measurements
hello. good work. I'm making the same bandsaw. can u tell me your sizes for the wooden part?
Hi. Check the description, I added some drafts there.
Its great to see that not everybody is building a "Matthias Wandel" bandsaw... :)
Question that I have, is the draft in cm, mm, or inches?
all measurements are in mm
Thanks for the rapid response. You have an awesome channel.
WTF - i'll be watching you. great job!
I like your work !
carlos de argentina hermoso trabajo te felicito
you done a very good job can you tell me how long is the blade thank you
This works better than my branded bandsaw
Facilmente executável, simples e funcional. Parabéns!
Koss т.е.
Very good job ! Congratulations from France .
Looks awesome but didn't you trap the motor in at the bottom when you glued the frame? You'd have to destroy the whole thing if the motor broke no?
Brilliant and simple build, like it:-), thank you my friend
what engine is used for this tool ?

Grazie
hey there wow looks great out of interest sakes, could you cut metal with it?
right blade, lower rpm would do. instead of mounting the motor directly you can use a pulley system, which would allow you to use the saw for both wood and metal.
This is a nice job. Thank you.
GREAT JOB MAN LOVE IT
awesome build... one question how thick are the layers of the body?
Perry como
awesome! great work!
very talented
what is the length of the blade?
Really Amazing - How did you got the upper wheel rotated to sand it down?
That's what I want to know too.
I think it's starting spinning by itself due the rotation of the angle grinder
Jörg Müller
What grade plywood and what is its thickness?

Boa tarde. Excelente trabalho. Qual a potência deste motor?
can we get a link for motor or a manufacturer name plz?
What is the song that sounds like strqnger in a strange land

good work thanks
Hi, very nice work. This bandsaw is suitable for cutting carbon steel for knife making? or something should be modified? Greetings from Argentina!
For cutting steel you should use blade for metal. And low speed motor.
wonderful!now you wont have to cut circles with your saber saw!

Turn off the sound.
That terrible music gets you a thumbs down 👎
