hey thanks for this video it really helped me out. I never knew about the threshold getting rid of the buzz, that was my biggest problem is i was having buzz but i did what you said and it worked. Thanks man for making the video i didnt see that in anyone elses video
1st. Don't play music over your speaking. 2nd. Either don't sit so far away from the mic or get a better mic. 3rd. Thanks for making videos like this. Very helpful.
Excellent! I’ve been an LT owner for nearly 5 years and have known some of what you say. But the idea of using the global EQ to free up a block is it gonna be great? Using my HX Stomp as a back up for my LT so hopefully I can get the most juice out of it that I can.
Hey buddy great video there were a few things you said that I will me trying to add more to my pedal. Also I could hear your voice fine no one should really hate on your background music. It’s petty
So, i tought impedance was to match to your amp and pedals in the chain. Example my amp runs >1M. So i will match Hx stomp to that. I tought on the guitar that value was good cause is fuller at >1M. I always use that way. My guitar is a ibanez with dimarzio, is Bright and Open.
The input impedance will greatly impact the way your guitar connects with the stomp. With a bright guitar you might drop the input impedance a bit. It’s just good to know it is there and I would always get the input impedance sorted before moving on to other tweaks.
Quick question, it seems like an amazing unit that can replace a lot of good effects and amp, so why people are still bothering buying ToneMaster which 'simulate' only one amp (super reverb) for example when you can have this ?
It's easier for a lot of guys to understand that amp because it's like an old map. And you have a speaker etc and can use normal pedals... HX stomp is another type of device it's more like a swiss army knife. You can use it as a delay, reverb,... in the loop of an amp. You can use it as your direct amp or it can be your whole rig.
Can anyone help me with the HXStomp I/O settings when reamping the dry track using studio one i have recorded both wet and dry tracks, its just the output setting hook up i need to know. Thank you Stevie F
Push both page buttons at the same time. You should see three parameters at the bottom menu...now press the right page button ...you should see global settings...press the button under it...take the dial between veiw and action turn it right until its on the footswitches...look for stomp 3..turn the dial under it until you see footswitch 3
I only give likes and subscribes to people who don't bang on about it and waste time making the video more annoying, sorry. The way to get get likes is make a good video, short, to the point without begging people to click this and like that
Hello, I bought this pedalboard and I tested on the amp's returno and it was too bad the simulations of amplifiers. You can make a video linking it on the amp's return and how to configure it. I realize that there is no way. Just a miracle. IT IS EXCELLENT BUT ON THE AMP RETURN IS HORRIBLE, BUT WITH CABS SIMULATION ARRIVES IN AN EQUITABLE ACCEPTABLE. LAMENTABLE ... CAN YOU HELP ME?
A little hint when you're trying to explain something don't put music over your voice can't understand a f ing thing you're saying had to stop watching

Wow the tuner trick! That made me subscribe. TNX
Glad to have you on board!
Good call on the global EQ. I had been setting up an EQ in many of my patches, now I can save a block!
Your music is too loud when you are talking.
Thanks for the advice, will make sure it's better in the next videos!

Thanks for the tips! Cheers
Nice comparison on the input impedance....Good tip.

I like how you utilize this small box. SO great.
Another great video Max! Thanks for posting. HX stomp is amazing
thanks dude, it was really helpful! you deserve more likes and views.
Thanks! Have been working hard on these HX STOMP videos!
Didn’t know about the tuner! Thanks!
No problem Lucas! cheers
I'm new to your channel, and thinking about buying the HX Stomp. So I am going to watch a bunch of your videos as a way of researching the unit more.
Hey buddy great video there were a few things you said that I will me trying to add more to my pedal. Also I could hear your voice fine no one should really hate on your background music. It’s petty
What headphones would you recommend? I'm seeing lots of web chatter suggesting that results through cans are poor.
Very helpful. Thanks
Thanks for the info Max...Love your videos
Thanks Michael! Cheers

How were you able to turn off the tap tempo in order to free up that footswitch?

@@MaxCarton I see, I have to agree that technology can be a little be frightening, especially when it comes in a small package like this.
so easy to access the tuner without the footswitch!
The trick with the Tuner (action + page right) doesnt work for me
I cannot find one video on getting rid of the tap/tuner, and turning it into an effect on/off switch.
Are you recording direct in this demo ? what amp and cab you are using ? sound good !!!
Hey Max, thanks for making this. Very useful. 1 new sub!
Very good man! Thanks a lot.
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Any thoughts on the Line 6 Pod Go vs the HX Stomp? THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!
Can you make a video using the 4 cm with the hx stomp? I'm thinking about using the hx stomp with a EVH 5150 III.
Cheers!
For sure!
Awesome thank you
nice video very informative.
Thanks for the comment! Love to help!
Are you recording direct in this demo?
Instant subscribe! This is quite literally the next best thing after...well buying an HX Stomp!
Can anyone help me with the HXStomp I/O settings when reamping the dry track using studio one i have recorded both wet and dry tracks, its just the output setting hook up i need to know. Thank you Stevie F
So how do you change the 3rd footswitch to be a regular stomp and not a tuner?
Push both page buttons at the same time. How do I know what my guitar and cable impedance is
That hasn't got a lot to do with how you should set this. The higher the input impedance on hx stomp the more scooped the sound will be.
@@MaxCarton can you explain scooped?
@@timjoseph887 It will sound more like a strat the higher you put the input impedance.
What do you mean by "ir"?
Impulse response. Fancy name for a cab simulator
didn't know about the input Z setting had mine to auto also the global eq nice tips
Glad you liked it Brad! Cheers dude!
You should have shown how to navigate to the input impedance
I cant get that tuner thing to work...tried forever
Weird, it works for me... What buttons do you press?
@@MaxCarton
You have to have the 2.7 update. I'm only at 2.65
my stomp sounds like shit thru myy . interface no matter what i do help!!!!
Is it clipping? Try to lower volume on the HX and the interface input and make the monitoring volume louder.
