One of the few good 40k gaming titles. And yes, I am hyped for the sequel!!
The other good title is "Dawn of war". A strategy game. With it's expansions it's a great introduction to the universe and different races. You should really give it a try as well!

@Ole Herland there's more than just those 2 games. Chaosgate daemonhunters is only a year old and is great. I had a lot of fun with darktide especially with friends. Battlefleet gothic armada 2 is also pretty good.
If you've not play Mechanicus, you're missing out. Bit of a hidden gem!
@@xxchaos315xx6 I would add warhammer 40k, space wolfs ( a card/tactics hybrid former phone game ported to pc, no pay to win) and 40k gladius which is essentialy civilization in 40k universe so no peace and diplomacy only war

Fun facts:
- Titus has been an Ultramarines captain for 150 years. A typical codex chapter numbers at around 1000 space marines, split into 10 companies of around 100 marines each. Meaning that you as the player are in charge of around a hundred other space marines. And the fact that the mission you're being sent on only requires you and 2 other members speaks volumes of a captain's ability.
- Space marines not wearing helmets have both a lore and meta reason. In-lore, having no helmet amongst marines is a sign of superiority, that you trust in your skills to not get hit so much so that you are willing to show the enemy your face to defy them. Of course this doesn't work against those enemies who can aim well... but IRL the reason is that bare-headed characters are easily identifiable among a group and therefore more likely to be attached to by fans. It's much easier to market special characters with a face people can remember than the same helmeted space marines over and over.
- Captain Titus is voiced by Mark Strong who you may know from the movie Kingsman. This is his first of two warhammer-related roles as he would later go on to lend his voice to inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn in the game Eisenhorn: Xenos.

Makes a lot of sense. And it's funny, because I just answered a message about using a mod to get helmets on, and I feel that is taking away a bit of the charm 😅 I want to "care" more about the characters, and without helmets that is easier 👀

33:50 It seems pretty rude but they're surprised that the remaining forces are commanded by a lieutenant. Considering an entire regiment was deployed, that means that not only is the Colonel of the regiment dead but so are all the company commanders of which there should be at least three. The regiment is super fucked for command to go that far down the chain and it's a miracle they're still fighting.

Forgeworld are planets that make all the Imperium's weapons, vehicles, and ships or literally anything that's a weapon

While Space Marines are generally considered "above" other Imperial troops, it's important to note that the two are completely separate chains-of-command; Space Marine Chapter Masters can find themselves under the command of an Imperial Guard General almost as easily as the other way around. The one caveat to this being that Space Marine Chapters have a large amount of autonomy, and as such, the act of subordinating themselves to another Imperial entity is only ever done voluntarily. I.e: it's never ordered; it's only ever requested.

Bruv, the most guard general can do is to ASK chapter master to do something.
Even Solar Macharius had astartes as allies, not subordinates.
@@OleHerland It might. Some chapters notorious for not sharing their plans with the army commanders and basically operating completely independent and unpredictable for both enemies and allies.
It's borderline painful seeing both Ole and the chat fail to see the endless prompts about stun + execute for HP for first 30 mins +
Also, the grenade thing it literally said "Q" in the "How to use grenades" prompt. Guess that's what happens when 70% of the attention is focused on chat.

If you are interested in GOOD (Outstanding) 40k game with great plot and a lot of different armies I would really suggest you to chek out Warhammer 40 000 Dawn of War. Especialy Winter Assult and Dark Crusade addons. This is the greatest 40k games, they introdused me to the Hobby and you can play them seperatly from original game. The only thing that can ruin your expirience is it if you don't like strategy games. But I beg you to give it a shot + react/chek Dawn of War intro cinematic.
This is the thing that made me A HUGE Warhammer fan.

Technically, I don't think the Impieral Guard answer to the Space Marines, they're two different branches of the military, like army and navy, a regular Space Marine have no power over a Lieutenant of the Guard.
Of course, in reality, as Space Marines are 2 meters tall demi-gods (literally, part of their genome comes from the God-Empeor), everyone respects them and listen to them. But they're not supposed to command guardsmen to combat ^^
The chain of command is different for each part of the Imperium, for the Space Marines, it's God-Emperor, then Primarchs (all dead at the time of this game, Roboute Guilliman was ressurected at the very end of M41), then Chapters Masters, Captains, Lieutenants, Sergeants, and finally the normal Space Marine.

@@OleHerland Yeah, since the Horus Heresy, the Imperium is really divided to avoid giving too much power to one man. Especially a Space Marine for some reasons :p
But everyone still have great respect for Space Marines ^^

I recommend battlefleet gothic armada 2 (one is for the story) is a space rts 40k game
I wish they somehow could translate this game to consoles since my PC can't run it, but it would probably be to hard to make work on a joypad.
