- 272) Great track filmed Feb 2020 at Brookfield's Soul Club
Northern Soul TV was created by me to promote all aspects of Northern Soul. The wonderful music, the fun, and friendship you find in the scene, the events, the venues, the dancing, and most of all the people and community that come together ALL OVER THE COUNTRY to enjoy this lifestyle.
My name is Ralph I recently retired having reached the landmark age of 65 “what do I do now ?” is the question I asked myself. What do I enjoy the most well that was easy to answer I love to dance and I love to listen to Northern Soul this love of the above started what seems a lifetime ago in the late 60’s when I discovered a small dark and dirty place called THE CATACOMBS for those with really good memories UP THE JUNCTION and the scene was cast that would frame my life.
I missed The Wigan Casino and The Mecca which had only just started as the TORCH closed followed quickly by THE CATACOMBS I naturally came to the conclusion that the world was about to end. However, at that very same moment, I met my future wife to be and the world didn't end, in fact, after meeting her on a blind date some 46 years ago we celebrate 43 years married in August. Northern Soul T ha become my passion putting something back with my videos creating memories for people to look back on in future years fondly.

House tunes, and Northern soul dancing...
What's not to love. .
Absolutely awesome...
Big up all the wonderful dancers...
Keep the faith...💙 🙏 🇬🇧
Love the little red head, she's one of the best there is.
I don't want to reveal her name to everyone, it's the same as my brother.
Her footwork and posture is unchallenged on a northern soul night. X
Sorry this has to be dumbed over the top of the original sound track, pure disco canna see any one ever dancing northern soul to this track, it’s great in a disco
Sorry fella, but this is disco / jam from the 90s,can you really say this is northern, if so I'll hang my brogues up, and my comment is by no way vitriolic, ktf.
Peter Thompson agree 100% absolutely love the song. As I do Harolds original but as for for it being played as northern it’s just a big no for me
Couldn't agree more...if this is the direction NS is going, then it might as well just be called "CLUB-DISCO".....great song and version, but Northern? Not in a million years!
sorry but it says it is R&B + Soul
@@Bowser-u9j Where does it say R&B + Soul? Perhaps I’ve missed something?
@@Bowser-u9j this is never R&B+ soul,what planet you on!..😁
nice track but doesnt belong on the scene
100% AGREE........KTF
Lmao yeah keep the faith with this tune.. Its not northern soul 🤣🤣🤣❤️
The northern scene has adopted a handful of house records in recent years, Dimitri, Michael Procter and ‘Tears’ spring to mind. This track is a very poor example of “soulful house” or vocal house. Utter gash, fluffy, sugar coated house. There are tens of thousands of soulful house rekkids the northern scene is oblivious to. The scene is still playing catch up with garage or soulful house
So where’s Harold Melvin ?
There are videos with that version I have done check them out
They look like they're dancing to something else....? surely no one would play this at a northern soul night ...its bad enough playing Petula Clark's -I Couldn't Live Without Your Love these days without this ....
The Harold Melvin version is played in many venues I visit this version I dont hear that often
@@northernsoultv868 heard the Tom Moulton Remix of Harold Melvin played out quite a lot ....this is just 'disco' from Stock Aitken & Waterman ....nothing to do with 'NORTHERN SOUL'...
90's house/club, yes
Is this for real .. Never ever been Northern soul. It's disco-pop music.
I went to Wigan Casino and they definitely did not play this !!!!!
90s house pop club (PWL if I remember correctly) getting into the Northern scene same as the Kim English record on Nervous records, or Drizabone - Real Love. Personally I approve otherwise new people will find it hard to come into the scene. I left that scene and went to the Soulful house scene in my twenties (50 now) because it was not progressing. All my older mates got me into Northern and I still love it now, but when I was 18/19 you could still buy say Dean Parish - I m on my way, but now you have no chance of purchasing these old records. To attract younger audiences they need to be able to buy the music as well that was part of following and being connected to the scene. So you have to let other music in.
its not a bad cover version i wouldn't play it myself
Are the people even dancing to the track ?
Yes they are
@@northernsoultv868 how bizarre that's a house record .
bit like playing showaddywaddy at a rockabilly gig
Disco with disco ball to boot....
Mid 90s cover rubbish nowt like northern soul are they dancing at a wedding
It would make more sense to play Grace Little, wouldn't it? This is just a contrived SAW mess.
Variety is the spice of life ? Brave to play this in a Northern Soul session ?......Pioneering lol!
I don’t understand how they dance to this music??
Where are you located? I really loved the gentleman in the white tee and the black shoes with the white stripes!
yeh i get what pete says but still a great tune with a souly beat. i have also heard at a rave many moons ago.BIG UP SOUL TV KTF
