Who is down voting Andy, even though few, what kind of malicious people are out there that would do that? I just picked up my new panzer 3 Ausf D/B mix panzer its beautiful! Can't wait to start it! My hobby shop stocks loads I ordered this one in special for me and got the stug 0 series coming in tomorrow for me! £44 British pound well worth it!
VERY excited about MiniArt!! First full-interior Grant/Lee tanks I'm aware of, and it's about time!!! The early-production full interior Lee is something I've been eyeing for some time now; it's the only REAL full-production Lee issued during the war, and the tank on which I'm basing my LULUBELLE scenario on from the movie Sahara. Absolutely thrilled!!!

So glad to see Miniart making a push into the US. They have a great website with tons of pics of each item. I’m guessing the small sprues in the Grant are for British specific details as opposed to the Lee. Fewer spares for the old parts box but keeps the price more competitive. Would love to see the Grant or Lee built up. Nothing on RUclips the last time I looked.
Having moved to the states from the UK a couple of years ago, I do miss the miniart stuff. So when I moved, I bought lots of what I thought I might need, and shipped them over with my household goods. Can recommend them if your diorama skills are not as good as you would wish. Great video Andy.
Like the new cards and new intro. As for Miniart, I've bought a bunch of dioramas accessories, bottles, crates, etc... Here, in Canada, they are priced at $20 and they are a bit expensive compared to other brand but in the same time, they have much more stuff. If the price is going down, that will help. As for the M3 Grant, I'm about to finish the Takom kit. The one with the interior kit must be nice. Maybe I"ll try that version in the future!!!
I have the Miniart Su 85 with full interior. I watched Miniart's youtube video on how it goes together... Amazing kit with amazing detail. Just wish they would do a Tiger with interior as well.
Great stuff as always. Very much want to hear more about the diorama mats, please. I'm a builder who always has plans for dios, but usually winds up with weathered models sitting on their own. Mats could be a great help if they are affordable and realistic.
Thank you, Andy, for such an interesting review. Tha "Autogiro" was invented by a Spanish Engineer which was not expert on aeronautical matters, but on roads, water channels and sea ports -that is the direct translation of the academic title in Spain-, and that might be the reason why his invention was so unique. He died in take off accident in 1936 (41 years old)
Great video. Andy what’s the largest figures. You can do. I remember one as a kid it was the knight on hoarse back and a Roman. Legioner. Thought I Whould ask. Allways build 1/35but Whould like to go bigger. Thank you. Jim carr
Glad you have this sorted out, we have been more lucky in the UK, still one of the more expensive ones . We have the opposite as you said, for example SMALL Shop tools are so expensive here due to customs, along with Evergreen .
Sober Сossack about the same in euros in Finland, not so expensive in my opinion, Miniart is a quality manufacturer, great kits, planning to build their T-54 A or T-60 in near future.
also interesting: flying to Kiev or Lviv is not expensive...even in summer. Certainly within Europe...but even from NY it is one of the cheaper destinations.. The wife will also enjoy the culture sightings and cheap shopping. (just after ccvd19 shutdown in may the airlines will scream for passengers !!)
Hi Andy! I love your work, and your passion for hobbies. When do you think you will be opening your web orders to overseas orders? I live in Australia, and I would like to be able to buy some kits from you.
I didn't realize the price issues with MiniArt, a lot of their T-54 kits are only around $30 online. I bought a T-54 from them and started on it but had big issues with the fit starting on step 1. It burned me out on MiniArt and I think I'll avoid them in the future.
I am currently assembling the SU85 kit. I was impressed at first at the level of detail, but have changed my mind on these kits. They are way to complicated and in my opinion do not need to be so. There are almost no parts that are complete assemblies. Everything has very small and brittle parts that are almost impossible to remove and break really easy not to mention that for instance the drivers seat had like 10 pieces that had to be glued that were so small that it was all tweezers and magnifier instead of making it in one piece.
Hey Andy I just want to tell you that your video inspired me to start modeling. P.S. I'm going to join the marine corps in two years and I plan on being a tank mechanic. If you're wondering what my name is it's Jacob
All though I like MA for the most time their figs is kinda mixed bag; some times a LOT of flash and/or HUGE seems on both the figs and the equipment. I don’t know about their latest releases (or the tanks/”what if”-aircraft-series) but prepare to do a LOT och fileing/sanding/filling on their figs. At the same time MA figs does some pretty cool figure sets; tank crew men in relaxed poses, mixed sets (i e german POW’s + US paras, britsh paras being disarmed by german LW soldiers). Stuff like that I love. Something different from all those ”chaaAAAaarge” ”action poses. So if you don’t want to break the bank with a resin set MA is comes out on top.
