Note on capacity ttd had a 1 minute minimum cycle time to allow the hydro launch to recharge the accumulators and ttd seatbelts tended to make the platform slower
Thanks for the review! This kinda gives me vibes for how I think some coasters (Steel vengeance 2nd half) would be better by doing less. Sometimes elements rapid fire too quickly and you can't even enjoy each sensation because it's over before I can notice it. cant wait to try out this ride!
5:30 I was there for the prestige Passhorder Preview and when i was in line, it went down for an hour. it was the only time it went down the entire day as far as i know, but my guess as to why is because it was around80 degrees and it was a very sunny day so i have a feeling the stators were getting a bit too hot. but hey that's just a theory
I used to be a ride operator at a different park and my theory is that the rights will have natural shut down times for inspection. Every new ride was shut down at certain planned intervals for inspections. Also there may be bugs that need to be worked out too
Did not realize how ridiculous the forces are on the way down the top hat. Honestly would not be opposed to a Kingda Ka similar treatment down the line (Sammy’s definitely gonna hate my for saying that 💀)
If they were to do that I would say replace the backwards spiked with an inverted top hat and then go back towards the main tower with the spike. With 5 acceleration launches. Pull out of station Transfer onto main course 1st launch up tower half way 2nd launch backwards up inverted top hat 385' 3rd launch backwards up spike built onto original tower 415-420' 4th launch boost just enough to crest invert 5th launch to full speed to complete top hat traversal and into the brake run. Just an idealistic thought.
Great Review right there....That makes me feel like the positive vibes when it comes to Top Thrill 2...... I think it would be nice if the staff at Cedar Point might give me some opportunity to try out the new Top Thrill 2.....I think there should be staff available there to assist me with test seating and all of that....but I believe that the Cedar Point staff along with the TT2 crew members should be able to help me out in case if I need assistance...I bet that they are always helpful.
This thing blew my expectations out of the water. I didn't expect the 3rd launch to be as good as it was and when you are in the back of the train it has an almost Skyrush-esque attempt to tear you out of your seat. So far I have 3 rides...Front, Back, and middle night ride...
I took my first ride as of yesterday, I thought it was intense af. I rode in the very back on the left and my body was tossed by the spiral drop. Also, the ride is smoother than it may look.
Thanks for the review. I do want to ride this, but there's no way that I'm going this year. The hype for this ride, and the attention it's gotten, is unlike I've ever seen before for anything. I wouldn't be surprised to hear about 8+ hour lines regularly, especially considering the 1-2 hour lines that even their bad rides draw. I will wait until 2025 or later to go back, waiting for TT2's weekday lines drop down to 3 hours.
My worry is the shimmy is going to get worse with time. You can see the spots that it shakes on the launch track looks like it’s ever so slightly bent. Hopefully they can address it in off season. Also the height of the new seats with the new heart line likely makes this shake more pronounced than it would have been on the old dragster trains
The added high off the track of the chassis definitely allows for a lot more airflow underneath, which is with lifting the train up causing it to bounce on the track.
I do plan to go to Cedar Point at some point. Not only for Top Thrill 2, but also for Steel Vengence (which many say is the best in the business). I know they have other great ones as well. Do the lines tend to be long? Are weekdays a better bet for getting on more of the rides would you say?
If you can get to Cedar Point the last week and a half in August on the weekdays you will pretty much have a near walk on to a minimal station wait for most coasters. I did it last year and it was 20 minutes for Steel Vengeance 25 minutes for Maverick. Everything else was 10 minutes or less. It was the most fun I had at Cedar Point in a long time.
If you go during July & early August, even weekdays will have over hour waits for everything, even for the dumb rides like Corkscrew. I will never go to Cedar Point again during that timeframe. I imagine June is only slightly less terrible. My first visit was early June 2014 on a weekday, and lines were horrible then, but not nearly as bad as my more recent July visits. In the future, I will only visit Cedar Point on weekdays in May or late August. That seems to be when everyone says to go. You may not get any night rides, but the much shorter lines make it the far better option.
Like within a few weeks! Now that we’re in the main season of theme parks, live stream will be less frequent than they were in the winter due to life being much busier now!
Maybe it’s just me but idk how confident I would be riding this as it’s a 20 year old ride retrofitted by a company that didn’t originally manufacture it

Great Review! I'm a big fan of the channel!
Thank you!

As in remove the launch for ka? Hell no.
@@gunsmoke132 well it’s not going to be able to operate as is forever. I’d rather they reimagine it than take it down .
Not opposed to it either
Hell nah 🗣️

This is a great review, and very well made video
Thank you!

I plan to go for the first time this summer I'm hyped.

Definitely go on a weekday, preferably before or after mid June through beginning of August.
@@jamesm7517 Thank you! I will try to aim for that time then! It is a long way from my house so if I go I want to get the maximum experience.
Just curious, is there a front row queue for this ride? because ive never done a strata and i will literally not get on it if im not in the front 🤣
There is!
@@ColiwoodStudios they let u wait in it too?
Ka’s restraints hurt my thighs so bad. Hoping to try this soon!
When’s the next live stream?
Like within a few weeks! Now that we’re in the main season of theme parks, live stream will be less frequent than they were in the winter due to life being much busier now!
Where do you rank tt2 in your top 10 cedar point roller coasters rankings?
As I said in the video, at least top 5!
Now I feel like all eyes are on Great Adventure and Kingda Ka
I dont think yet...if it keeps having problems this season then yes but it's running fine right now
Maybe it’s just me but idk how confident I would be riding this as it’s a 20 year old ride retrofitted by a company that didn’t originally manufacture it
RMC does the same thing and there coasters are amazing
Everything is new except the tophat..and that had a major inspection and some bolts and nuts were changed on the structure
What u think gonna happen? I don’t think the top hat will fall over😂
Rode it 3 times. Still like the old one better
Must of never rode the Steele Vengeance
